I recommend to replace J with Shift+V shortcut, to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome. I got it when I was doing the Palmyra project, it took several days to retrain, but it helped a lot and solved an issue.
@@masterxeon1001 yeah, mouse buttons is a cursed path that leads to peripherals dependency. I felt that when started modeling baroque using Logitech F310 gamepad+ G300 mouse.
heyyy where does the Ctrl-Left Click shortcut to add a vertex in the middle of an edge come from? is it a HOPS/Boxcutter thing? or a MeshMachine thing?
When trying this myself, I was a bit disappointed with the result because I messed up the cylindrical shapes. What seemed to help was to afterwards 1) applying 1 level of subdivision, 2) using Meshmachine's conform tool to conform the surface to cylinders, 3) using 2 levels of un-subdivide to return to a reasonable complexity again.
after studying all this toposolve videos, and knowing for a fact your inclination about redundant keystrokes, I'm asking why you don't start this videos assigning a simple shortcut for "merge at last"
simplifying is def more readable than adding complexity. Sometimes I pull back and realized i tried too much. As I ponder qremesher more and more they might be onto something with a 5 star handling a turn.
@@masterxeon1001 yea I think partly I just don't have the vision to see the big plan, like watching you shred a mesh each individual move you make doesn't really make sense to me but then you step back at the end and it all falls into place

dude. you are recording and releasing faster then we can watch and properly process what we have seen. you are insane (in a positive way)
it happens
@@masterxeon1001 Yea I have to watch at .75 speed lol.
23:50 That CTR-T (triangualte faces) + ALT-J (tris to quads) trick is gold! Thanks for that, @masterxeon1001
get solvin! It gets deeper as well. Sometimes you can set up a ctrl + T result and alt + J a really long chain solving some impossibly strips.
Love these new videos showing us how you use these tools. Thank you!
Glad you like them!
Dude you are a beast. You are cranking out videos so fast. Love it.
Glad you like them!

you have a point. I might make it a mouse button. However there will come a time when I will be pressing J alot less.

short work.
love your vids man! fantastic work!

i love these videos. keep up the good work!
They are a fun time!
Top notch content as always. If you feel like it one time, perhaps share your default pref setup for mesh machine to better co exist with box cutter.
always defaults with me. Boxcutter never had issues with MM for me. For DM I press W.

that is a different video altogether. Glad you got somewhere!
Nice video thank you. I think you should also check your model with the red reflective matcap. This one hide everything.
yea. But matcaps.

lol. it did kinda flow for a moment there.
It's 2 am at night in Germany and I'm still watching a random video about typology, instead of getting some sleep. My life is screwed...
but this one has some of the most curious solutions yet tho...
Well sleep is optional... I guess
