How do you know if you're overfilling them? Currently, the level appears low until I remove the cap to the reservoir, then it rises to the "Full" line. So which level is the actual level? I've been getting the coolant icon and engine shutdown for the last 48 hrs, and at this point I don't know if it needs coolant or I've added too much. (The breakdown people at my company said you have to fill it till it's about to spill out, cause all the sloshing around while driving will convince the sensor that the level is low.)

Replace coolant level sensor it's easy it just pops into the coolant reservoir

I replaced mine and it started beeping again around 14 months after.
I'm literally having the same problem with my kenworth. I get the same lights and then 30 secs later it happens again
