If you get the fenders that cover over the sidewall of the tires you have to remove fenders to take wheels off. Just something to keep in mind. Definitely need fenders pulling lowboy tho.

Came up on my recommends. Guess RUclips is telling me to play ATS again. I envy you folks. I'll never be able to do your job. I have epilepsy and a slew of health problems and I can't even drive a normal car. If I was healthy though.... Thanks for sharing!

When I'm coming to a stop I usually brake with my left foot so that I can keep downshifting as I'm slowing down .
I’ve tried that, I prefer to use my right foot only and, just downshift to 5th gear, don’t go any lower unless I’m loaded heavy. But cool man 👍🏼
Same, and I usually go down through most gears and find one before I stop.
That way I’m always ready to upshift or downshift if I need to.
It’s the same going around a corner at an intersection, be in gear so the option to accelerate/decelerate is there...always in control.
When you’re only able to slow down it’s not total control. It usually isn’t an issue, but when it is...better safe than sorry.

we have a few of these t800s at work, mostly newer t880s now though, we use the older ones as spares. We haul 5 axle live bottoms gross 63500kg. Every time i get into one of those trucks im always amazed by the power. Good shifting by the way, and it sounds amazing.
I feel you on the car fresheners haha I used to be obsessed w black ice. You should try True North if you haven’t. It’s a white tree and similar to black ice!

Chris Schall Thanks. Umm all I have to say is when you take your test just stay focused and relax. My teacher always told us to focus on the task at hand meaning if you’re doing your pre trip keep your mind focused on the pre trip and it’s like that for the rest of the test. And yes they do want you to double clutch. But u got it tho just go there confident that you’re gonna get your license. I believe that you will get just go there and knock it out of the park. Btw 18 wow starting out young. But u got it and have a blessed one.

Chris Schall yes double clutch is a requirement to pass ur driving otherwise the examiner can or will fail you

Since you haul machinery, and bulk materials, I suggest you leave no fenders on the rear wheels. Or you could get something that wouldn’t get damaged. We had a truck come in the shop that had rear fenders that were all torn up. Custom front wheel fenders on your truck would look great. If you want rear wheels fenders also, I suggest something strong. We have chrome rear fenders on the heavy haul trucks. Full fenders, also on the lift axle. They have fender on that. It looks good on the trucks, we went with strong material for em though because they go on job sites.
I agree. It would look great with a set of polished stainless half fenders.
I’m on my way to drive a T300, I am nervous as hell as I’ve never driven manual before and the concept of when to clutch and not clutch is different with every persons perspective. I just want to do it right, not stall, not crash and park it easily

It’s called floating gears. Once you thoroughly understand how to shift and the relationship between your speed and rpm range, you’ll understand floating gears

I noticed that, both here and in the United States, drivers have a habit of not using the clutch, except when starting off. The question is: why? Is there any advantage, or is it just a habit?

When taking off do you start in 3rd I’ve always been told to start in third if so why in third
Don’t really need 1/2nd unless loaded. You can use them if you want. I like taking off in 2nd or 3rd when empty
Im not a trucker not should I be saying anything bad. But apart from the coolness here, the things thats not cool is hardly touching the steering wheel or having much solid grip on it..and never driving with two hands on the wheel at any time.
Pleae correct me if letting go of the wheel in a Kenworth gives you total control of a high tonne vehicle.
