It is funny how they are rightfully scared about nuclear power plants but somehow most people in the video seem to be completely ignorant of what dangers the plant actually poses, even though they are all right to be scared. They are scared for all the wrong reasons and most of the things they are scared about are misconceptions and myths, The government should better educate the locals to the real dangers and benefits for there to be a more constructive dialogue.

🤔600mw is not paltry considering that it will be a sustained relentless 600mw 24/7 365 days a year unlike dams and wind which can only reach peak output once in a blue moon under very special circumstances.....🤔FYI most nuclear reactors are designed to produce about 1GW and a nuclear power plant may have multiple reactors i.e. 600MW would be there lowest output for 1 reactor.Don't forget that Owen Falls Dam in Uganda that used to sell electricity to Kenya was originally 50mw and is currently 150mw ,and max 380MW at peak performance.🤔 Quick maths 1 nuclear reactor is equal to 4 River Nile /Lake Victoria powered Owen falls dams at normal performance and equal to 3 Owen falls dams at peak performance, Thats not poultry at all considering that a reactor & all supporting infrastructure fits in an 80m X 400m space. while a dam may require a 2km long wall and a 40 square kilometer basin. The Aswan High Dam is one of the world's largest embankment dams in the world only produces 2gw max but requires a wall and basin so large you can see it from space and costed $1 Billion dollars US in 1971 adjusted for inflation roughly around $6.7 to $7.2 billion USDollars in today's money that's 7.2billionUSD approximately 1.0152 trillion KSH at the given exchange rate of $1=141ksh today. so imagine only 2 reactors would supersede it without worries about droughts, and would be less than half the price of a 2MW dam🤣😅 don't forget that Kenya's total energy requirements is about 2.651GW (2,651mw) or so......... So, 600mw is approximately 22.61% of kenya's total energy requirements, this would completely eliminate the need for fuel /petrol-generated electricity and lower electric bills by almost 40% per unit(kwh) .😆@@variousplaces
