    Great program!
    Compelling contrasts!
I praise the Lord for having rescued you Bro Robert! 🙌🏽
Your experience is a potent example/testimony / reminder that after we are filled with the enemy’s deceptive offers, their dissatisfaction only leads to disgust as the persuasive lure of sin loses its hold on us under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Thank God for praying parents! 🙌🏽
Your exposing the lies of the music world is far more effective having been once a captive /victim yourself!
Win Jesus! Win! 🙌🏽….and please go after the others too! 🙏🏽

Yes I recently saw that most famous people are lucerfarians and I believe that i can hear that in the music. So I have started listening only to music praising God the most High and it gives me a calmness and encouragement that I need throughout the day.

I want to say both parts of this were wonderful and informative. We need to get more people educated on the effects of music on the body. I tell people who say music doesn't affect them, think about when you listen to music and your foot begins tapping to the beat . . . unaffected?? Another wonderful source of info is "Distraction Dilemma" a presentation by Christian Burdahl and "Media on the Mind" a presentation by Scott Ritzma. Scott did, however reference some of his friend Christian's research. The research by Christian was all secular so there was no SDA bias. Both presentations were still available last time I checked. (I have DVD copies of both) God bless you both and the Clash of Minds ministry in all the work you do.

I was with Pathfinders and at the big meeting they had music that was like pop but the words were on an overhead screen to follow along. It made some lift their arms and sway to the music. I recognized one or two of the music riffs as being on the radio today ( then).

You are speaking truth. I dedicated 40 years to song writing and music, hundreds of songs. When I came to Christ as a SDA there was a desert to cross and a great and gradual reset from secular (self) to writing to praise God. I still ask myself why He gave me this gift. I also think of the time wasted in which I could have been immersed in His Word. I know there is a reason, and I thank and praise God for these life lessons.

Thank you for presenting this. Those who have been in a church that does this when they attend a church that doesn’t they think the church is boring and that is because their bodies and minds are used to the stimulation of the music. We need a detox of music and just listen to the straight word of God.

Most modern “Christian” music is white magic.
Every single song starts off with some kind of frequency which is a common practice in witchcraft.
The shallow repetition of the same 5 lyrics is practicing mantras, its affirmations and again a witchcraft practice.
    Thank you for exposing this.

It is clear that the SOP Writings are very necessary for us in these last days of Earth's history.
The SOP Writings, Used along with the Unadulterated Holy Bible, and under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, one would not go wrong.
Music is most clearly addressed both in the Holy Bible and in the SOP Writings: in secular settings and also in spiritual settings. We were not left to wonder whether this or that is good and acceptable, or not.
But the adversary has confused things, and have worked his artful cunning on the hearts and minds of mankind, which have thrown earthlings into rebellion against God.
He lead the Heavenly Choir. In him was the mastery of perfection; his voice was excellent: melodious and harmonious. He lacked nothing: yet he rebelled against God and he is leading the planet in that rebellion: and concerning music,
    * All Kinds Of Music, { except in reverent praise to God }, Will Do.
    Secular music ought to be kept in secular settings but to the honour and glory of God;
    * Music to the honour and glory of God, in worship to Him in the Sanctuary, -performed in the beauty of holiness, in reverent praise and Thanksgiving to God is different.
The secular must needs be separated from the Spiritual; But all must to the honour and glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10: 31.
May we allow music, proper and testeful music { but not derogatory music } to help in lifting our souls to God, under the guidance and influence of the Holy Spirit.
May we, some very soon coming day, join in the worshipful praise to God, with the holy angels that excel in strength.
    Amen and Hallelujah Amen. 🙏 💪 👍 🙏 😊 💯 💙💕 🙏

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2 (KJV)
What are you doing, brethren, in the great work of preparation? Those who are uniting with the world are receiving the worldly mold and preparing for the mark of the beast. Those who are distrustful of self, who are humbling themselves before God and purifying their souls by obeying the truth-these are receiving the heavenly mold and preparing for the seal of God in their foreheads. When the decree goes forth and the stamp is impressed, their character will remain pure and spotless for eternity. 5T 216

In his excellent book, "Face the Music Contemporary Church Music On Trial," author Lenny Seidel sets the record straight. A concert pianist and twenty-five year Christian music veteran, Seidel proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that musics about as "neutral" as a black eye. Lenny brings out the following points:
    "True godly music will be
    composed of three
    elements - all in perfect
    balance with each other.
    They are: MELODY,
    HARMONY, and RHYTHM.
    Rock" music" has no
    melody - only fragments
    of melody endlessly
    repeated. Since there is no
    true melody, there is no
    real harmony. There is only
    rhythm. And rhythm in and
    of itself is not music.

Anytime an artist says in an interview, and so many do, that they hear the music like a radio that only they can hear then it is demonic inspiration. I have my own experience with this but easily found videos would be the Tori Amos interview with Rick Beato and the recent feature interview with Liam Gallagher of Oasis. This isn’t to say that every song they produce has no input from the artist themselves, but they are groomed and trained by their muses and often do simply receive whole songs. They are often very free in talking about it.

I have seen worldly movies shown in church with so-called contemporary Christian music to convey a point I will say it is disappointing to say the least on my part but in no way am I judging anyone and on one occasion when I was training with sound and audio I have seen with the use of drums seen someone become almost possessed and that person almost took it out on me because the computers were playing up during worship service though it wasnt my fault, it shook me up so much I left the position because The Holy Spirit impressed a question on my heart that question was whom are you singing too because of the introduction of Hillsong at the time just sharing my experience. When I hear worldly music in Church I get headaches and it affects my diabetes in a negative way gives me false hypos (low blood sugars) or false hypers (high blood sugars) and start sweating this is what happens to me when I'm in a church that plays worldly music. Also sends my autism into overdrive too much stimulation for me.
Ps I'm no fan of Hillsong

I was involved with music in a very active SDA church in SA. I would be very selective in the songs I chose for the youth. The lyrics had to be very clearly about/for Jesus and doctrinal sound. A lot of songs are very vague and can be sung in very different settings and still feel appropriate. If a song had a lot of repetition I would take it out or only have it once. If a song had a slight deviation in doctrine I would change it. Years after I left that congregation I realised this wasn't necessarily wise as the youth still sang the songs, but reverted back to the original versions, not realising the difference in doctrine. (There seems to be a huge gap in what the young people know about the Bible these days and it is really concerning. A lot don't know what they believe and why.)
Another thing that I have since been convicted of is the use of a song just because it is reverent and beautiful and doctrinally sound doesn't necessarily make it safe to use in a church/group setting if the original person/group singing it have questionable lifestyles/beliefs/other songs that aren't appropriate for church worship. It may lead some people into accepting the "other" songs as okay that may eventually lead them to accept the questionable beliefs, etc. just because a nice song was chosen to sing in a worship setting.
We generally only sing hymns in our church group even though there are really beautiful appropriate songs that we could sing, but I am weary of maybe opening a can of worms I would regret later on. This is really challenging to some of the non-SDA's in our church group who came from a more charismatic background. The one lady really struggles with singing hymns as most of the hymns doesn't allow her to feel like she's worshiping Jesus. It's more about what we should be doing, be believing, be, etc and very few are directed at Jesus. Hearing her reason has really made me think and I am still struggling with this. The rest of our group really love singing hymns and find so much joy in singing them. Some even listen to hymns during the week, especially when they are facing challenges and find that it helps them.
One thing that has really helped me through the years to evaluate the appropriateness of music is if I feel the music will seem out of place or fitting in God's throne room in heaven. And strange enough my music choices have really gone down over the years.
The topic of music is such a personal thing and questioning if someone's choices of music is good or bad may rile up really big emotions/reactions. So there will always be differences of opinion and that is each person's right to have their own opinion. Each person has to evaluate their own choices and be really open when the Holy Spirit sends conviction.

Is Music Neutral? The Biblical account of David's playing which drove away Saul's evil spirit (1 Samuel 16:14-23; KJV Bible) should bury that DECEPTION once and for all! NEUTRAL MUSIC DOESN'T DRIVE AWAY DEMONS, BUT DAVID'S MUSIC DID. Yet many Christians today aren't satisfied with what the Bible says. They'd rather quench the Spirit, ignore the obvious, and buy the big lie. (J. G)

The New Age Movement says mankind can have peace without the Prince of PEACE, but it will never happen (Matthew 10:34: KJV). Most CCM (Christian Contemporary Music) embraces the same warped philosophy--love without Repentance, holiness without separation, and UNITY AT THE EXPENSE OF DOCTRINE.
Worldly love will NEVER save the world from itself. Only Jesus Christ can do that.

It’s not judging, God is aGod of order and His Church should follow the thus said the Lord.
I joined the church at the tender age of 17 had no problem with the service it was done with not all the craziness that’s being allowed in the church’s today.
The Pastors should not allow this kind of behavior, it’s totally unacceptable,,
Time the church wake up, they are not teaching the Bible and the SOP, we have all the warnings of being like the world.
We should be the head and not tail, I do t care how young the members, they need to be taught the right way,not give in to the world standard.
Sad the black churches are the worst, pastors and members need to stand for God and His righteousness not all these nonsense!!!
EW says if Jesus were to come right now1 in 20 is ready to meet him, drums and all the noise, the praise team sounds like the Sunday church services crept right into our churches,
The SDA standards have been lowered at such an alarming low level!!😰😰😰
My heart hurts to see what’s happening and the Pastors are not setting the standard.it needs to stop now. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

While I agree that we must be careful in the music we listen to and what we now consider worship music, I will say that a Steve Green type of music will NOT and has not made the soothing music of the examples make me want to not go to church or enjoy my worship is so wrong. I can say, I enjoy both. While we want to educate let us not try to put what is right music in a box. 2 Samuel 6 when David was bringing the ark, the very presence of God, he was so moved that he danced before the Lord. Let us be careful.

Ocean plays a beautiful tune, but all the added action does not fix your eyes on Jesus. Almost becoming hypnotic in motion and emotion. I find it a pleasant secular song, but not a christian song. Even then, I would hope I would turn away from it. It is repetitive and incites actions, emotions and just Pentacostal like. Maybe charismatic is the word I want to use. In no way do I find the focus on our Creator God. Now with hymns I get a whole different feel. They make me feel closer to Christ & also experiencing His love. At the same time, our hymnals have incorporated many catholic songs which I cannot condone. Words that do not belong in hymns for our church. Music is so powerful in so many ways. We also have to recognize that many 'christian rock' music is not from a source we should have any part. Some words are channeled to these writers who have already given their souls where they should not have. Plus, many pop singers will put religious words to any tune for the monies sake.

Why do they play that soothing Muzak in the dentist's office, if not to calm your nerves? And why did that passing car's blast of Heavy Metal noise make your heart pound? (J. As a musician half of what you say are true but the rest is stretching or reaching way outside what it is. A lot of what you're saying is contradictory. You're trying to do the right thing but opinions should stay at home. A lot of what you're saying sounds way too religious and hypocritical. The world will laugh and and scoff at what you're saying and no wonder. There is a poor taste of religious superiority here. As everyone has their level of spiritual maturity in Christ and we all need to grow. Evangelism is mostly ineffective in this poor representation of what holiness is in music and not. Do not fabricate things. The world will call you out on your double standards. The corelations you try to make are weak. The elite church goers will find a soft pillow in your comments. Reaching the lost not so much though. I am a drummer and yes you fall short in knowledge of rhythm.
