- Transformers and He-Man voice actor Alan Oppenheimer, talks about using his Skeletor voice in every day life.
Alan Oppenheimer has portrayed many characters over his career, both on and off screen including Dr. Rudy Wells on The Six Million Dollar Man; Koroth in Star Trek: The Next Generation; Seaspray and Beachcomber (among others) on Transformers Generation One; Mer-Man, Man-at-Arms, and of course Skeletor on He-Man and the Masters of the Universe.
Imagine driving down the road not knowing who this guy is to only have him chuckle in his skeletor voice
alan: *in a low skeletor voice* hehehe you fool
me: by the power of greyskull! *draws a big sword* I AM THE POWEEEEEER!
ala: oh shit
"That'll be 20 US dollars, sir"
"... heheheheheheheheheheheheh"
smiley satanson im sure it is “ i HAVE the power”
Our someone who doenst now him think its the creator of the atomic bomb.
I love how these past couple comments are brand new. And the skeletor profile pic
Seriously, I would ask this man to insult me as Skeletor and walk out feeling fulfilled. lol
YOU BOOB!
I didn't know you could do that!?!
I could write a book about what you don't know!! :D
Heck yeah
Nincompoop!
Agreed I would love for him to insult me as skeletor
0:18 “This man taught me everything I know”.
“Yeah, which isn’t much” classic skeletor burn lol
"I could write a book on what you don't know!"
Seemed more self-deprecating to me.
How is that a burn...
@@kevindavis5966 it was
@@j5892000 skeletor regularly burned himself in such a way lol... it really is classic skeletor comedic value
Taxi driver:" Here, you won't believe this, but I once had that Skeletor in my cab..."
Skeletor: "You almost killed me you boob!"
Hehehehahaha!
Except the version that aires there doesnt use the english voice acting, so if the man almost drove off the road it was doubtful because he recognized him lol. Oh well, I love oppenheimer and all his great talents.

Skeletor: the only villain more iconic than the hero
Joker, Hans Landa, Hannibal Lecter, IT, Jason Voorhees, Darth Vader, Emperor Palpatine, Tommy De Vito, Anton Chigurh, Judge Claude Frollo, Scar (Lion King), Dracula (Castlevania), Vegeta, Piccolo, Frieza, Starscream, T-800 (you know which one), Toguro (Younger), Aizen, *_definitely Char Aznable,_*_ seriously, characters who are copies of him is a massive trope,_ literally any villain from Naruto, actually a lot of old anime had villains infinitely more interesting than the protagonist. Chalk that up to generic nobody. protagonists without the swagger or aesthetic of beef monsters like He-Man...

Imagine working in Wendy's or McDonald's drive through hearing Skeletor placing an order.
My childhood friend does a perfect skeletor impersonation. He's honed his craft for years
Dang it, I can't imagine working at a drive thru.
"No pickles on my Big Mac, you mumbling fool!"
And be quick about it, flesh creature! Lol
Order something bone-in for sure
Epic villain voice Skeletor is a hilarious villain and Alan's voice is the main reason.
LOL. I agree. He's the Real Deal to be Skeletor. Somebody needs to have a Walk of Fame dedicated to him.
nice pp mang! CFH!
now I can see where Skeletor got his personality and sarcasm from 🤣❤️
Dr Rudy Wells.

Silly me, I thought it was Oppenheimer the theoretical physicist. I was like "whuut, that dude was Skeletor?? That guy was an even bigger genius than I thought!"
same
To be fair, that famous “destroyer of worlds” quote sounds like something Skeletor would drop, especially the Langella version.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wonder if they're related?
Alan Oppenheimer was also Dr. Rudy Wells on "The Six Million Dollar Man." He was one of three Actors who played him. The other two were Martin E. Brooks and Martin Balsam.
Alan is smiling during this like HE CAN'T REMEMBER WHEN HE HAD A MORE PLEASANT DAY
Skeletor was h i g h in that part
Plot twist: The taxi driver thought he was a Care Bear.
Bigger plot-twist : The taxi driver was prince adam .
He was Falkor, Gmork, and the Rock Biter in Neverending Story, and unless you read the credits you have no idea it's the same guy. That's talent.
and the gmork
He was also Dr Rudy Wells on Six Million Dollar Man
Actually, it's quite weird, because 100% of cartoons in Latin America are dubbed in Spanish, so it's quite hard to find out that Skeletor's voice was like that because the person who did the voice dubbing of Skeltor has a deep voice.
what if they didn't dub the laughing part of skeletor... only the worded lines
@@pihermoso11 look on RUclips for Skeletor Audio Latino, you will notice the guy who makes the dubbing also tried to create his own laugh for Skeletor.
I'm Hispanic, and watching He-Man dubbed is some seriously funny shit lmao
That's interesting; the Turkish voiceover for skeletor was a pretty accurate imitation of the original.
@@pihermoso11 Was just thinking that, you don't need to dub a laugh, so the laugh would probably still be the same
I would have asked him "Skeletor is the most parodied voice around, have you ever heard someone do an impression that you thought was as good or even better then your own? "
Did you know that Charlie Chaplin once won 2nd place in a Charlie Chaplin impersonator competition that he entered anonymously? Whoever won 1st place must have been pretty good.
@@medexamtoolscom
you don't hear about it too often, but celebrities do sometimes enter impersonation contests only to come in 2nd to 4th place
@@medexamtoolscom I actually had heard that before! You're the runner-up sir what is your name? Mouths the words then holds a card up saying Charlie Chaplin! :D
The guy who voiced Skeletor in the 2002 series was really good.
Jurassic Room I loved that series was really hoping for another season?
(Skeletor gets in a cab)
"Follow that car, you bumbling fool!"
“AYYYY DIOS MIO, TU ERES EL SKELETOR!” - Cab Driver
*YEET*
I love Alan Oppenheimer's voice. So talented.
To be fair, Argentina and Chile are big He-man fans.
I believe they still air the originals
?
@@larniieplayz6285 they still air the original show to this day in 🇦🇷 Argentina
He Man “I think you’re feeling the Christmas Spirit, Skeletor. It makes you feel...good.”
Skeletor “ I don’t like to feel good! I like to feel evil! Ohhh...”
He Man. “Don’t worry, Christmas only comes ‘round once a year.’
Skeletor “Ohhh! Thank goodness!”
"Don't worry, Skeletor, Christmas only comes once a year" was said by She-Ra not He-Man.
When he talked about being in South America, did anyone else suddenly picture Skeletor threatening someone in Spanish? "Plata o plomo, pendejo?"
AAAAHHHH HAHAHAHAHAH!!! I so did!!
He is waaay polite for a pendejo.
Pendejo!? Translate this to English cames out : Horse or Donkey Arse so I think it's the meaning of... 🐴🤔☮️
@@beboprocksteadym0nster-pow443 It's Spanish slang for a**hole. Plata o plomo means "silver or lead" down in Colombia where gangs would threaten people to either take a bribe (silver) or be shot (lead)
@@patrioticjustice9040 It's kinda like the old British highwaymen's phrase, "Stand And Deliver!", to me.
*Cross Universes plot...*
Joker gets teamed up with Skeletor.
Them arguing as well as plotting would be hysterical.
And the laughing
You may have almost predicted the future
@@icicle_ai9748 yes
Not really using the skeletor voice other than a laugh. But just hearing him speak normally is comprehending that he is the true actor of skeletor.
Mr. Oppenheimer you are the reason why my favorite villain is skeletor and I do a great impression of skeletor to. Thank you for the childhood memories and being a good role model Masters of the universe rules
Were I the voice of Skeletor, I think I would feel compelled to use it when answering telemarketering calls.
_That_ would be sooo awesome!

Skeletor voice in everyone’s head? Good!
“Yes! I nearly ran not one but TWO taxis off the road! Just like I always wanted!!”
Mr. Oppenheimer is an amazing man. Incredible that he was in the original “Westworld” all the way back in 1973. What a resume! He’s still with us, thank heavens!
Alan Oppenheimer who was the voice of Mighty Mouse in "The New Adventures of Mighty Mouse" (Filmation) the old cartoon style of the hand drawing of the ink and paint on the screen in 1979.
@Megan Connell
You jest... :O
The inspiration for Jack Scepticeye's Papyrus voice. Actually, the inspiration for just about everyone's Papyrus voice.
Both Alan Oppenheimer and his most successful cartoon character Skeletor (the arch enemy of He Man) have 3 things in common:- both of them are bald, both have big teeth and both of them have similar voice. It was the best decision taken by the casting director of the iconic 80s superhero era cartoon He Man to cast the veteran voice actor Alan Oppenheimer as Skeletor.
'Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds’
Or is that the wrong oppenheimer...?
That works beautifully in Skeletor's voice. Just sayin'.
Alan Oppenheimer will always be a respected figure. He was the voice of Alistair Crane on "Passions". His Skeletor voice is definitely iconic! Also, Maurice LaMarche is a combination of Barry Gordon and him.
I'd be scared too if I heard Skeletor GIGGLING behind me.
I will point out here that the *He-Man theme song has lyrics, but only in SPANISH!*
I was this old when I discovered that Dr Rudy Wells from Six Million Dollar Man is the voice of Skeletor.
The driver stopped the car violently and turned there head said “Skelator”!😳

Alan has so much energy. He always looks like he is having a great time.

thanks man. I want to get in and get out.
Thank you sir.
I grew up watching He-Man and I’d have looked at him like he was drunk if the did that. I’d have no idea it was Skeletor.
What a legend, I'd like to see Alan Oppenheimer and Simon Templeman do some voice acting together.... Love their work.
He sounds exactly like Alan Alda.
No.
Yeah I thought the same thing.
With the "I think we're done here, thank you everyone for coming" line, that's what made me think of him.
No he doesn't. He sounds more like Bernard Hughes.
He should say something with skeletor voice as a papyrus so that voice will be canon.
I worked with Alan at the Galaxycon in Richmond this year in March before everything went downhill for conventions..great person to work with..
Great voice! So iconic.
Someone pay him to say “The pizza, He-Man! Eat it!”
I just wanna hear him say “Just Like A Woman”
Lol! Imagine if the taxi he was in got cut of by a woman driver.
Oh quit *ReplicantPhish* -ing. 😉😆😅
Santiago Chile? OMG, Skeletor just visited my home city
RUclips was invented for things like this! Brilliant
I would pass out from astonishment if I accidentally met him and he used Skeletor's voice at me. I would die a happy man.
so the last spotting of Skeletor was in Santiago, Chile?
Kinda click baitish. He does like 1 sec of giggles and thats it.
I said the samn thing b4 I saw your comment
And I don't buy the anecdote either. Kids don't watch cartoons with subtitles, they get new voice overs with actors speaking in their native language.
This is how skeletor's laugh sounds for kids of the 80's in latin america (but brasil):
ruclips.net/video/ZMkpHbu87Ks/видео.html
They spent more time talking about how they were going to go about asking the questions.
But the title is absolutely misleading. It implies that he's using his Skeletor voice in real life, or using it in the interview... not telling a tale about using the voice in real life. Unlike Peter Cullen in this video. ruclips.net/video/zryfjSaxXLo/видео.html&ab_channel=TFcon
(To be clear, the issue isn't with Alan, but TFCON)
@@kefkaFollower ARGH I feel like I've been rickrolled! Was having a giggle looking at 80s stuff but this just ended it lol
It may not have been what we were expecting but you can appreciate seeing him nonetheless
Dude he looks like Man At Arms!!!
Alan could write a book about what we don't know.
Was expecting "silence you fool" hahaha
Yeah, I'd imagine in Chile they would dub it, meaning another voice actor did Skeletor's voice. So I don't think the taxi drivers got startled because they recognized the voice but because they genuinely freaked out by the sinister laughter.
Featured on "Greyside Cemetary." A Facebook Fanfiction profile. Subbed and liked.
Those beautiful Skeletor’s insults are like poems !
I remember Alan Oppenheimer as Scientist Dr. Rudy Wells on the Six Million Dollar Man series.
Is this the one where he goes "The pizza, He - man! Eat, it!"?
Shame Mark Hamill can't do the same, pretty much every one already knows he's the Joker
Batman fans do, I'm not sure about anyone else. Still the best Joker too, perfect laugh and cadence.
Awesome to hear Don Ferguson unexpectedly as the first question!
Robert J. Oppenheimer: "I AM BECOME DEATH, DESTROYER OF WORLDS!"
Alan Oppenheimer in SKELETOR VOICE: "SILIENCE YOU FOOL!"
That was a bit of a letdown, he did a little laugh and that was it.
My cousin, who's like a brother to me use to try talking and laughing like Skeletor to me to make me laugh, and it would literally crack me up. I couldnt control the laughter that would come out of me. I was in my early twenties. Lol. It's just something so hilarious about how evil Skeletor sounds. He could say anything and it would be funny. Ex. "He Man I will destroy you" this, "He Man you're no match for my" that. I think Skeletor just loves saying He Man. Lol
He could write a book about what you don't know
Wow! Scrolled the lot and only one other mentioned Hogan's Heroes! Played several characters in that.
Alan Oppenheimer! What a treasure and talent.
Myah!
He should charge people to put dirty greetings on their voice mail.
This man does not look like his late 90s at this point. Or at least he looks very healthy and happy. What a great man, the voice of so many childhoods.
Hey that’s Don from Radio Free Cybertron asking that question!
"I did it Oprah style."
"You did what?"
Skeletor is my favorite cartoon villain hands down. I have a huge poster of him on my wall with his havoc staff. I got it for my 10th birthday and it's in perfect condition because it was framed as soon as it was printed.
This guy was on Hogan's Heros a couple of times
MYAAH!!!
Wife and I met Alan at a local CON. He was the nicest actor we have met to-date.
That's Timmy mallet and the guy that does skeletor!
Voice actors need to use these more often. But preferably when ordering food either in drivethrus or on phone.
Also the voice of Battlecat/Cringer and Falkor the luck dragon. Also the nephew of J. Robert Oppenheimer I believe. I find it hard to believe the taxi driver would have never heard of The Neverending Story though. He must have led in with a bad example.
I'm been using my voice almost similar to skellator
Imagine if both those taxi drivers thought he was some other childhood cartoon character...
those taxi drivers are that kinda scared in their youth hearing that sinister laugh of skelator.....
Fun fact. He's also Falkor from the first Never Ending Story.
Rooooooaaaaaar!
Amazing how Skeletor's giggle nearly caused a few car crashes.
Born in '82. A voice as recognizable as a parent.
He sounds just like Skeletor.
I was hoping he would say a line in his Skeletor voice
Learns that using the skeletor voice causes people to drive dangerously, continues to use it there after, I think this guy has a death wish
Walked next to his table at a convention because the route was very busy.
Very polite guy, very nice. He was the voice of Falcor and the guy who played Atreyu was there, I said: "They should've put you guys next to each other."
He was at Chiller Theater a few years ago and did the Skeletor voice for my young daughters. Amazing man.
He was also falkor
Skeletor’s new power is compelling people to drive off the left side of the road.
It hits the geek spot very well
lol just saw him on Married with Children last night on tv! haha
