Note: I appreciate all of the feedback you've all given on this video, however I realize I should notate that this video is heavily laced with sarcasm and my pronunciation of "Lishi" is done on purpose. As a new Locksmith our shop owner didn't know how to pronounce it as he wasn't a Locksmith, he just bought the shop.. so, we all kind of pronounced it this way as a joke. I go back and forth on pronunciation, but some of the angry messages about this not actually being a bullet proof lock or that Lishi is actually pronounced "Li-Shi" have become overwhelming. This video was my 8th video ever recorded and it was mostly just co-workers at the time who subscribed to the channel... but, with this video gaining popularity I feel the need to clarify this haha - Kilo
All of the people who don’t understand sarcasm in the comments is hilarious 😂😂😂 Loving this channel so far, definitely a nice change of pace from the other super serious videos on RUclips… I dig the laid back style!
The Lishi I bought was able to pick 3 Master Locks easily but decoding a lock was another matter.. My locksmith couldn't make a correct key from the key cut numbers I read from the Lishi scale. I picked the locks and read the numbers several times so I know they were correct. The pointer was directly pointing at the number lines. I read your comment about rounding the numbers up if the pointer is between numbers. A locksmith told me the Master Locks tolerances are so sloppy the pin settings don't always match the decoder chart on the Lishi. That HPC 1200 you are using is really nice!
Also. There is a channel, Lock picking lawyer. Have you seen any of his content? He has a "pending" lawsuit Master had posted because of how he exposed their blatant weakness in their locks that have not been resolved for many years.
The comments were all WRONG the master Lock is fiendishly difficult. It took me 9 months to defeat it. I hope that it was not a flook. I shall be purchasing this machine stat.@@LockandKilo
I paid around $1200.00US, but I got it on a holiday sale. I think it retails between $1500.00-$1800.00US normally based on where you find it. I did a review video on it in an earlier video if you wanna check it out. It's the HPC 1200 PCH Punch Machine. ruclips.net/video/qeVsgGI9AY8/видео.html
Honestly, just like Kwikset they look at that statistics and see that the majority of people can't tell the difference between a Defiant and a Protec 2 as well as they know the majority of consumers want an affordable lock. Master puts a lot of their effort into "looks" rather than security, just like Kwikset. This is to make them look more fashionable or intimidating.
No way!! I own 7 different pick sets. Not to mention a number of jack knife pick sets. I’ve picked all kinds of locks like American, Brinks, Abus, Schlage and on and on. But I’ve yet to get an open on a Master Lock. I need to get myself one of those Lishi picks so I can cross Master Lock off my list.
Ummm I'm sorry and I do apologize but master locks are the easiest to pick and open also you don't have to be locksmith to order and have a the lishi tool sent to you because I have purchased and delivered to my house the entire lishi lock pick set.
this guy saying master lock is the best?? Wtf?! I picked one a few days ago with a tension tool and a bobby pin to single pick a master lock, and today i picked one to win a bet. I picked the masterlock with a poerclip.
Yeah, I added the note in the description after it was brought to my attention that these are widely available on the internet now haha. Our shop normally only buys from select, reputable distributors and all of which still to this day require a valid Locksmith License before shipping. It is on me for not really researching more on Lishi picks prior to this video, however this video was in part for fun at the time lol I did however notice that with a License from the distributor these only cost about $25.00US each as opposed to other sites like eBay. So, those $50.00-$100.00 price tags would really only tend to attract avid pickers and deter opportunistic thieves imo. - Kilo
This video was made as a joke. I learned after this video that sarcasm isn’t picked up well on the internet and the description and pinned comment also get ignored 😅😂
Have you never heard of the lock picking lawyer? Masterlock SUCKS * I apologize for the additude sarcasm isn't as obvious over videos and messaging as it is in real life after watching the video with the understanding that its meant to be humorous it is indeed funny thx. For the entertainment
It came with a bundle of various Lishi's I purchased years ago. I have used it as a Locksmith as I work in very rural areas and when I do not have enough padlocks on my truck or the customer has several keyed alike Masters and loses their key, I have used this to cut them a key and save them money. Granted I have never been called specifically for this reason, only when I have been on location and they mention their Master Locks lol
@@beat9740 Oh, I misunderstood. Yeah, I heard someone else say they bought one without verification. All of the Lishi's I found wouldn't ship without confirmation of my License. Eventually the internet makes everything available tho. I'll note that for the next Lishi video. Companies will need to be careful selling those tools like that, can come back to bite them.
@@LockandKilo lockpickinglawers website sells them without verification but i do note when looking to buy them i ran into one site that wouldnt allow it, but then again these have been out for a few years
@@beat9740 Ah, yeah I figured like every other pick and bypass tool they'd eventually be available to everyone. Fierce high security master locks 😂😂
Question. Would those little pins (that say Anti Pick) that come in a kwikset rekey keep this tool from working?
Also. There is a channel, Lock picking lawyer. Have you seen any of his content? He has a "pending" lawsuit Master had posted because of how he exposed their blatant weakness in their locks that have not been resolved for many years.
Finally! Now I can put away my Medeco locks and move on to a real challenge and open my arch nemesis lock, Master Lock #5.
May God have mercy on your soul :) - Kilo
