I loved your reaction at the Train Station ( 37:18 ). I actually posted on Reddit about how my Firebarrel at the station utterly vanished leaving my cooking gear hanging in mid-air. I went to sleep in my bag with the firebarrel cooking water and woke up to it gone.
Then, a bit later, one of the mini-fire-grills showed up in one of the storage sheds where there hadn't been one before. The screenshots were hysterical... and makes one wonder what ghosts inhabit the ZoC.
What?! That's crazy! I feel like this unsolved mystery may be at the heart of Great Bear lore 🧐 what REALLY is this so called fire barrel??
This was awesome. You've clearly spent a *lot* of time bonking your head against this region. I would love to watch you continue this run.

yeah it's one of those zones that are super lucrative if you know how to work it, kind of like HRV.

@@SAHarian I wanna know the reasoning behind this, not an expert on the game and I've always struggled to decide between the difficulty of Interloper and the existance of guns and higher tier gear in Stalker
@@abaronca3413stalker has higher spawn rates for wolves, timberwolves, bears and moose. and population diminishes faster on interloper. basically, stalker has more hostile animals to worry about.
If you continue this, maybe use the guts from El Lupo plus some scrap metal to make inland fishing tackle lol?

In one hand it really sad that Switch doesn't have this DLC, but in other hand can watch this run without spoilers. :)
It's crazy switch doesn't have it yet. Must have been a huge uplift for some reason. Hope they are able to figure it out soon!
so i've made progress in the Zone, and came back to check in on this. i came in with a save that has a few hundred days on it as well as the completed Signal Void chapters, and ended up retreating a couple of times to snack on some venison i have in the Transfer Pass, so i spent quite a bit of time exploring the "not mine" parts of the map to find a food supply. really liking the design, especially how some areas have 3 or 4 different vertical levels you can access. and definitely loot-heavy -- between the Zone and FA it definitely feels like a great place to start a run. i'm curious about the hard hat as well -- i have a couple ideas, will try them out and get back to you. only one recommendation i'd make (which you've probably already found) -- adding in the cave called Welkin's Window, around the same area as the Dubious Overlook. saved me from a surprise blizzard, so i already have a soft spot :D
Yes, I checked out that cave on one run but didn't have a light so couldn't explore. Really need to dig into the area surrounding the mine more! Glad you are liking it

1:31:10 That seems to be a bug with all prybar doors. The Orca's doors are also only remembering they are unlocked if you've opened them from the outside.
It's not a bug. The rhe doors are key locked from the inside meaning you can exit and they lock when they close. The prybar actually breaks the lock so they can be opened from outside as well
Neat, but that's not how it worked before at the Orca and it's doing the same thing now.
Yeah it's hard to tell. Almost seems like Hinterland actually FIXED it and both doors were meant to have this as a security feature like a lot of RL doors
Sure if I didn't also have to pry it open from the inside and therefore break the lock twice to have it just open.
Ah is that what orca does? Mine let's you open from inside without prybar

Loving the moonlight and how the buildings aren't almost completely blacked out. Using the outline of the can/bedroll to navigate the dark is meh.
Omg same. They've made so many buildings worse with some of the recent lighting updates (*cough* the dam *cough*)
11:39 - I spawn two Interloper (vanilla template) in ZoC but don't find any matches in mine buildings, only bellow in the mine.

Why You are not wearing all closing ? It is wormer and less weight instead of dragging it with You ... The spray paint is for marking places in order not to get there again ... and "remembering" where is the stuff You've dropped . P.S. A good guide , I did missed several places , tnx.

Why do you play on the Metric system when you seem to be American?
The game was designed around the metric system, and it makes understanding things easier. "One liter of water is a kilogram," "one stick on a fire adds +1C, so if it's -12 to warm up I need to put on 13," etc.
Also it's really good practice for the metric system!
