The summit has a lot of lot like 5-10 times the amount of loot in terms of food, ammunition, medicine, tools and even weapons. I would travel very light if possible also just make sure you have coffee and stims on you since the rope climbing are pretty brutal.
Dude, I've never seen that gun before aside the default one. Is that a new thing from the latest update? Does it do more damage or something? So freaking cool.
It's part of the DLC. There are a handful of newer 'specialist' weapons. This one by default has a longer range, marginally noticeable until you level your skill, but at level 5 its amazing! There is one that it quicker firing and reload, but at the cost of durability - can find in/near the hydroelectric dam, and one that has much better durability, at the cost of being heavier can find that in Coastal Highway. Similar ones for revolvers and I think a bow, although I have never found any of those!

At the present moment, I don't have a good PC to run The Long Dark and as the updates have came by, I became kinda rusty. Might buy this DLC also when ready to play. Do you plan on making a DayZ Standalone series? That's my fav beside TLD.
