I'm having a difficult time liking a tip down knife carry, especially if the pocket opening is slanted. A straight pocket allows me to carry the knife to the left in the pocket. But many times a pocket is slanted, and that doesn't work if the left side of the pocket is highter than the right. I'm seriously considering buying the SOCOM Bravo just to get this tip up. I haven't purchased a Chinese knife in a long time. I love the knife otherwise, but that a big negative for me. Are you a lefty?
@@appalachianadvrider no I carry in my back right pocket..for over two and a half decades..lol..it really is my one and done knife I just look now at new models..cheers brother..😎👍🏻
@@davebrune4001 I completely understand that. It's a great knife. I didn't think about back pocket carry. Lol. It's nice to have something you are completely satisfied with. I just noticed that when the blade is folded closed I can rub my finger near the glass breaker area and can cut my finger on the tip of the blade. I'm not so crazy about that. Can you feel the tip of the blade on yours?
@@appalachianadvrider No, I can't. And I'm trying real hard to wedge my finger in there to see if it will catch. I wonder if yours is not closing all the way for some reason.

@@appalachianadvrider I'm sad to hear this. Sometimes duds get by inspection. And I do have a serious question about Microtech's quality control. I lost the end of my middle finger last month because the crossbar lock on a brand new Microtech folding knife failed.
@@OldDominionEDC what? That's just crazy! I hate hearing this for your sake. I'm thinking that internal blade stop pin is a little too high, preventing the blade from retracting until it's hidden

After I filmed this knife, I was holding it while it was closed, and I brushed my finger over the end near the glass breaker, and the tip of the knife sliced my finger. The tip is almost flush with the top of the scale, and the blade doesn't drop down far enough. @@appalachianadvrider dang man that's no good especially at that price point. Iv never delt with microtechs warranty but iv heard its good with quick turn around. @@lukecrafford6544 it's a hard pill to swallow to buy a new knife and then you have to pay to have it fixed before you use it because of QC issues. It has ball bearings embedded in a nylon washer. I can see nylon from looking too down at the edge of the washer, but then watched a disassembly video where there are bearings inside the nylon disk / washer.
