Swift becoming the ///M shop for UK RUclipsrs. Just did a whole shock\spring refresh, front control arms and underside covers replacement. Not cheap these cars, but can't complain in my 14 years of E90 M3 ownership.
Good thing that I can do these services on my own. DIYs ftw.
In my country we have a saying 'He who is not in his head is in his feet!' ;-)
Why have a shorter front plate with all those screw holes present hell no
Looks like it’s been driven through afghan in the mid 2000s 😂
Wow! Those discs were in a dangerous state! Nothing surface about those cracks! Good that you got them done anyway.
A big bill, but you got a lot of work done for it 👍
The way youtubers all use the same garages you'd think there was a shortage.
The net discount of nearly £400 is probably why 😂. Exposure to thousands of viewers in exchange for the garage offering cheaper bills.
Probably because he trusts us at swift, helps promote our business and he’s a mate, question answered? 😂👍
@@bmwshowcase2041 and you are one of the nicest lads around 😘😘
They should give other businesses a chance.
@@DaleSteel if only thats how the way the world works on pure fairness. Like imagine if all the garages were all trustworthy and carried out the best work. You can apply this principle to anything.
Id love to see a night time drive video showing off the interior mood lighting and features
I bought an e92 m3 and I loved it. But a month after purchasing the DCT failed and I had to replace it with about a 3k bill, sold it not long after 😅
Thats a terrible thing to do.
You did the time but not the crime 😂
Harry Potter doing vlogs these days! Nice content bro
We're sure you know, do the work yourself and save thousands. $$$ those of us who have BMWs know that's the catch. Something most do not say.! It's like anything else, if you can afford the car no matter how you fix it your going to have a great time. But if not do not buy one. They are exclusively for those who know everything about those cars. And ownership is a dream..! Bimmer lovers international.
thank god i work at bmw as an apprentice tech at 17
I had a e92 m3 in my work today animal cars and it was the first one ive ever seen not seized when doing the alignment 🤣
Damn they had your pants down, don't be fooled by the discount on that invoice 😅
It’s cos he went for genuine bmw parts lol
No not really he just paid the correct amount for a proper repair in a bmw specialist , if it had been a dealer it would have been more .
I could get the genuine parts from bmw a hell of a lot cheeper than he did!🙄
Some people don’t bother, if can’t be bothered to shop round then you can’t moan at the bill!
M- cars aren’t expensive to maintain, I have 4 & a B3S Alpina
@@shotta287 genuine rear bmw pads are 79 from bmw he got charged 201. thats without labour 🤣
@@gord6695 definitely got his pants pulled down then🤣🤣
Great video as always, love your honesty, it would be interesting to see on paper what the overall costs are for running a BMW M3 👍
i have one and i'm doing about 230 miles per week - some more, some less. If I average it all out. That equates to 15mpg (city car) and its £90 per tank to fill it up of 99ron. So fuel bills are roughly between £700 and £1000 a month in fuel. Plus tax at £60 per month. Plus insurance which for me at 45 equates to £80 per month. So just in running costs alone about £1200 per month if you had a figure to cover it - usually its a couple of hundred less, but if i go further (do more miles). It costs in that region. Maintenance on top. Every mile has a smile on my face though. That engine is sublime but its an extremely costly car to run every day.
Great video, desperately want an E92 but the bills make my RS look cheap to run haha
Ford Focus RS? or Audi?
Man, don’t get me wrong
But you need to sort TLC
Such nice car but not looked after 😢
Just my opinion
He's just spent 5k looking after it, what you on about 🤣
@@AdDaManGT Rear subframe needs doing, it is slightly on the crispy side of things!
@@PabloConcrete They all are!
@@AdDaManGT Well, you are right. The moment you drop subframe you can have a better look at things and you start making a list 😅
@@PabloConcreteit’s a old car now
My 1M turned its nose up at me recently cost me 4 grand.
Parts cost a fair bit here in OZ .
That’s the way it is with beemers.
Purring again now
some say you should have had the e92 M3 as a track car and the golf 7R as a daily :D
Yes M3 as track car. But either isn't a good daily. Golf R passable but honestly, unless one commutes on track , something reliable and cheap to run will do😂
Massive thank you but a 5k bill. This makes me happy I have a reliable car I could not afford this but I am sure its one of those cars that's hard to just get rid of once you taste it
Seems like a very steep bill to me.
I’ve owned an E92 M3 for the last 5 years and it’s been the most reliable car I’ve ever had.
No bills like this.
My biggest outlay was getting rod bearings/engine mounts and rear wheel bearings done at 125k miles for about £1.5k.
All it NEEDED at that time was 1 wheel bearing
You can halve that bill by DIY.
After hearing that figure, I might aswell get a M6
Love your E92 M3 proper car .
No compensation for cubic capacity
These guys at SWIFT are wizards when it comes to BMW M cars.
The e92 I almost brought about 5 years ago was something I to this day regret not going for but saying that by now I too would have undoubtedly be facing similar garage maintenance and bills, seeing others spending and keeping this fine machines going is a joy to behold
(brought) where did you bring it?
It’s not too late.
I’ve had mine 5 years and never seen a bill even close to this.
Most reliable car I’ve owned and boy does it make me light up every. Single. Time. I drive it.
Love watching the videos with the E92 👌
These cars are really expensive especially when previous owners neglected 😢 our bill was $14k USD. Motor mounts, rod bearings, spark plugs, dct service, valve covers and all brake pads and rotors. Sheesh
Wow! Was this a specialty shop or a BMW dealership?
Will there be a dash cam video tonight
Am finding that out now 😂😂
Engine mounts are done when rod bearings are done, saves money on labour. I take it you have not done the bearings. Also you bleat on about high maintenance costs...lets be fair, you bought a bit of a dog.
Had my e92 m3 for 4 yrs now and never had big bills like this. Because i stay on top as it needs doing. You make these cars sound bad when they are no different from any other car. Bad car..no
Bad owners..yes.
Same. Owned mine for 5, hammer it all the time and its the most reliable car I’ve had.
No bills even close to this and my biggest bill was 90% optional work
If you want an ordinary car buy a Skoda or something.....if not you gotta pay the bills...my E46 is 18 years old and is superb!!!
This is why I don’t want an M car! I’ll stick with my 140i
Same! Just needs annual oil changes
Gotta remember it happens with age!
Engine mounts are a fortune
Would you not get engine mounts done at the same time as rod bearings?
Most do
cars a money pit.
Just bought myself a monte carlo blue e90 m3. First thing i done was service it. £570 and i got parts half price! Crazy money to run/maintain but worth every penny! Good video mate
How did you get the parts half-price? I'm currently doing front discs, pads, callipers on my e92 and its costing a bomb
@@jordansummers9116 secret mate lol
£4.5k ! Plus £7k for the fuel . You Must have deep pockets
How u get the headlights On the car flash like that
@hampshirephoto what front splitter is that and where from please? Thanks
You really need at least 19inch wheels on that no questions about it
18s look amazing on E92s and ride better

I'm sure he could got a good deal on ap brakes front and back
Alcon's are cheaper
Big brake kits for these are scandalous money 😂
So an E92 M3, a Golf R and a Mercedes A45S? I'm just like, how?
Thxs for the video - minor ocd item.. I noticed you have the same issue as on mine with the rear number plate.. ie someone at some point has drilled holes rather than use the factory mounting points.. Mind sharing how you plugged the drilled holes to stop rust / water ingress?
What does your OCD say about the random 5 holes drilled either side of the front plate?🤦🏼♂️😂
@@JonnyD3ath they won’t rust
@@jamesh2515 yeah but they are visible and look like shit - where’s your OCD now 😂
Daily v8 😅
Beautiful machine, but what a wallet drainer. You are a brave man. Respect. Enjoy.
What does this guy do for work?
Love to see a day to day costing to run. What do you do for insurance as you driving a45 aswell. ? Do you have separate insurance or one price for driving any car?👍👍👍
Mine averages 19mpg.
Thats a mix of fun driving. I have a van for work.
Tax is getting worse every year, its something like £650 per annum at the minute.
Insurance varies wildly like any car but it cost me £380 last year and just been quoted £445 this year.
Late 30s, full no claims, kept on drive, low crime area.
Cost of a M, that's pretty cheap to be fair for what you had done
what a waste of money for just normal user would be ,for youtuber its goood investment hehe content
I love this channel ❤
Plans to add the eventuri intake and plenum? Cars looking well👍🏼
Better to ask him on Instagram. He doesn't respond to his viewers in his RUclips comment section 🤷🏾♂️
@@ARDEN440iit's cos everyone bullies him😅🤣
What about engine oil and crankshaft bearings? Be prepared for engine rebuild lol
It’s been heavily exaggerated. And its the rod bearings.
I was still hammering the original bearings on mine with 125k miles on it - they’re not that big an issue or cost to replace
@@JonnyD3ath can’t be
Some nice work done there, must make a difference. Folk really don’t realise how expensive it is to maintain an M car.
But honestly you could have brought that bill down a fair bit by shopping about.
For example, rear brake pads are £79 from BMW 😮.
Enjoy it. 👌🏻
What people don’t realise is great businesses that offer top work/service cannot survive on Labour alone. Online shops looking for 10% margins (or thereabouts) clearly have no costs, we call it the rat race or race to the bottom, ridiculous. Garages with steep overheads compared to one man bands offering poor service but cheap prices should not be winning any business but guess what, people in the Uk just want cheap. Germany, US and other markerts do not follow this(on average) - I have family in all above countries.
That's why there are a lot of very bad M3's out there
@@cloned_noob3953 for fitting genuine parts 😂😂
@@stephenwilson2793 yeah this is the exact reason i shop around. lets just double the price and add 20 quid to make us real greedy 😂
Its just an m3, I have the e93 m3 not a maserati, lamborghini or ferrari. Its better to source the oem parts and get it fitted for less. 5k pounds is a waste on this car.
Tim looks like Tim (shmee)
Get to the point
"somebody might've done a track day with them" hmmm I wonder who that was... XD
BMW tax is crazy! 4k 😢
Some serious money could have been saved by shopping around for parts though. Even via dealer, the parts guys can often help out with a bit of a discount and that’s before souring genuine parts from the likes of Autodoc that drive with the BMW part number / logo ground off. The TRW arms that I bought are all OE, just with the ///M logo removed and shit loads cheaper.
Some people really do have too much money honestly
A45 is much better and cooler
Yeah that Hoover is better than a v8
My youtiebr friend got the 2019 bmw 330i! V4 twin turbo I believe
Inline 4 cylinder.
You got fooled by the "TwinPower" bs naming its just a 2.0 single turbo 4 cylinder
