Because he takes his time and does it right. Often times a mechanic at a shop gets paid for the job and often at a rate short of the hours it actually takes. That leads to cut corners and shit missing.
I build engines for work and i can tell u there is a lot of pressure to get things done in minimum amount of time. Often i don't agree with decissions made but nothing i can do about it. If i build one at home by myself i pay a lot more attention to detail. Sadly things are different when money is involved.
I seriously think there isn’t another RUclips channel as good as this. Your attention to detail, presentation and the way you do everything to manufacturers spec or better is top top class.
I think I just watched about 3 hours. THIS ENGINE STARTED OUT AS A BAJILLION PARTS ON THE FLOOR!!! I am AMAZED. The fact that this was basically just a giant DIY project is insane. I just look at the radar detector that I tapped into the mirror and go “wow I did that”. Can’t imagine building my own ENGINE LOL. Amazing car too. Part of me is like … should I trade my F87 M2C for one?!!??
How can one man, mechanic, act, produce, and edit a one hour plus show that professionals need umpteen camera men, sound recordists, directors etc . Unbelievable entertainment from our man out there in RUclips land. Fabulous content as always, looking forward to the next episode. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you, Sreten - your enthusiasm for the M3 is infectious and the work you’ve put in to make it live again is awe inspiring. Whilst at the same time filming, editing and commenting technically with dry humour shows the range of talent you possess . The result - over an hour of entertainment and enjoyment nobody else comes close to. It’s a privilege to be able to support you.
"Made in Germany" has long been synonymous with quality, but if you continue producing such flawless work, we might soon see the title "refurbished in Germany." It's magnificent how you redefine perfection, taking care of each part and surpassing factory standards. The E92 M3 FCL is, in my opinion, a dream car that seamlessly combines modern features, old-world quality, and top-notch performance. Keep up the incredible work!👌🏻 Regards from Niedersachsen. 😉

Makes me proud when people really liking the Individual sound system in the E9X! My stepdad was working as a marketing director of the swedish audio-company Dirac and sealed the deal with BMW back in 2005 and was first used in the E65 if I remember correct. The Dirac technology is like a digital filter that manipulates the sound to as good as the hardware allows it using algoritms.
Bro that is awesome. I did a retrofit on my E90 2 years ago. The individual audio came from an E92 M3 and I used E91 rear door panels to fit the tweeters also in the rear door panels haha. I have to say that the Individual audio in E9X sounds better than the HK system in the F30 I am driving now. I salute your father.
I have the individual audio system in my e92 m3 and I have to say it’s my favorite system the way the bass hits and the subs under the seats is just a spectacular experience of music delivery! It feels like a nightclub in the cabin when I am just cruising and not revving out the s65
My e92 m3 came with individual audio. Great audio and bass, really loved it. As is somewhat common in E92s, water seeped in and damaged the amplifier, that eventually took out a sub or two, a couple of speakers (there’s 16 of them all). Didn’t bother replacing any of it. The mechanical noise, induction noise and the exhaust is so good, sounds so exotic all the time it doesn’t matter if these cars didn’t have an audio system at all
HK to individual is easy. Replace every speaker (seats need to be unbolted and tilted), install individual audio amp, code individual amp (simple coding) The difficult retrofit is stock 'hi-fi' to logic 7 or individual as you need to change all the wires. @@sergiu239
Been following you since the very beginning of this channel. Not so much time since I saw you wrenching those 850i’s in small garages, and it was already very good, but look at you now. Referring to the Guru Josh Project song... I was a Soldier stationed in Germany and just returned from deployment early 2009. My platoon Sergeant had just purchased a 2009 M3 and he called me to come pick him up from the bar. I took a taxi there, he gave me the keys, and then he let me take that beast on the Autobahn, and then on the radio, I heard for the first time that song. I fell in love with that car too and it's taken me over 10 years to get one myself, but I have one now and every once in a while, I queue up that song to take me back. Only wish I could overhaul mine with all the love you have, but I totally understand brother, great job with the hard work, I'm sure she will never cease to put a smile on your face.
Running in tutorial reminds me of my E36 M3 Evo from way back. The sticker was still on the windscreen when I bought it and I never wanted to remove it. BMW's instructions for running in a hand built M engine were (I believe): Up to 1200 Miles: No full throttle 1200-3100 Miles: Max constant speed 137MPH, full throttle for short periods only! They knew exactly what the owners were going to do with them. Almost bygone days with manufacturers now sadly. Thank you again Sreten for your commitment.
Watching this really makes me think 20 times on letting my 2010 E90 M3 go. 14 years ownership and still smiling. Also love the slice of life filming and recommendation of a cafe if I'm ever in the area.
This sparks a desire so deep inside of me to build a car. Anyone can buy a car, but even my lightly modified Focus ST made it feel so personal and special because I did it all. I cannot imagine the satisfaction that goes alongside building a car like this.
I'm not really into mechanics but I watch every video because it's so interesting and very satisfying to see somebody who does things the right way and even goes above and beyond. I love your cars and the whole channel!
I don’t know one end of a spanner from the other but i’m addicted to this channel. I’m a little OCD so i love the attention to detail and focus on improvement and quality. To see someone have so much fun doing what they love and achieving their boyhood dreams is fabulous, but to get to share it with you as you document it along the way is truly a blessing. Thanks for all that you do.
Also can’t wait to see what front lights upgrade you go with. I don’t bother researching anymore! I just basically copy and paste what you do. Thanks man. Awesome work as always.
Yes Sreten will certainly have a challenge if he has to do a rear E90 bearing! Those fronts are a joke. I've done the rears myself and had to buy a tool just to pull the axles back in.
You’re a humble, dedicated human being and when you said let me sit back and enjoy this moment was heart warming know just us all watching and supporting you just to please us is amazing! First build for me is a m3 and a b5 Audi s4. And I will come back to these videos for my m3
Ive never sat through a full 1hr long youtube video but ive watched several videos of yours from start to finish. Your work, your aura, personality and love for what you do really keeps me engaged brother. Much love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
Another hour plus of exquisite content! Listening to you talk about fulfilling the childhood dream was so wholesome. It is a core memory in a life of a man to reach the point they imagined as a boy. So glad you reached it, you absolutely deserve it for your meticulous work!
30:00 the brakeline has a coating on top which you have to remove by adding slight heat there to scrape it properly away. The coating bulges always under the nut and it can't twist because of the expansion. I even made myself a shorter flarenut wrench for it.
Such an absolute pleasure to see this icon being restored properly, a joy to watch. Somehow missed the installation of the gummy bears spotted at 26:00 🤔
Looks fantastic Sreten! I have to say the gloss black grills, only because the car has shadowline trim so I feel it matches better. Both look good though!
I liked V10 after your videos.. But I still think V8 is special and will always be #1 in my heart! Can't wait to hear V12, this is going to be fun project! Hope you can get all parts needed for it though.
Sreten, I think your smile from ear to ear says it all. The sound is amazing from the V8. The small details make a huge difference and of course you have clearance Clarence!!
Once again, you’ve made an old car fanatic ( 79 ) very happy with your new video of a brilliant car, thank you, thank you, can’t wait until next one. The E92 M3 will always be a fantastic car, good luck Stretan. PS,I’ll probably watch video another 5/6 times over the weekend 😃
This car literally roars like a tiger. A powerful and aggressive one. Congratulations on the M3, it looks beautiful, that interior looks stunning also, and the wheels truly set it appart. For me, the E9X series BMWs are the very best, they look very handsome and have fantastic chassis, and drift very nice when DTC is turned off (which really means it is turned off, unlike the current BMWs).
Been waiting for this one for some time! Thank you Sreten for all your amazing content and I'm looking forward to seeing Frankfurt hit the track with Misha soon!
Sreten my man, Ive been a mechanic for 10 years, really enjoy your attention to detail and by the book content! A tip for the hardline brake flange nut that is seized to the pipe, since you have the ability to bleed the system, it is ok and safe to use propane heat or oxy acetylene to heat the nut to allow it to break free. Im Canadian and believe me this is a very normal practice here. Cheers!
Wow, this thing sounds properly mean! I agree with you Sreten that M5 is overall nicer, more musical, but this one is something else. Hearing this noise, you truly feel that it means business. Thanks for rescuing it, and thank you for another great episode. Keep the good stuff coming!
Honestly, this channel is making me remember that the E61 M5 and E92 M3 are also my dream cars. I wish I had the time, space and cash to own them like this. Great stuff Sreten, living the dream.
Gotta say I'm usually not a fan of black painted rims, but on this M3 configuration, I really thought it was suiting it perfectly, considering the roof is black, the trims too and the kidney grills were black too, it was giving a good contrast with the grey colour. Not really convinced with the rim color and the chrome grills yet, I think this suits "normal" e92 better, but the M3, it has to be aggressive looking in my opinion. Great video, and what a roar.
So happy hearing this great sound. Amazing job and perseverance on zero tolerance in quality. Curious on the next steps. Btw happy 2024 and hope we can enjoy this channel for much longer. Proud to part of your community.
The way you work is amazing! A lot of atention to smallest details. Every time I see your new video from you, it just makes my day better. Best BMW mechanic and best channel! Thank you!
250km/h on an icy autobahn with busted shocks - you are a much braver man than I Sreten. Looking forward to seeing the final version of the M3, but even more looking forward to seeing Project Marseille come together.
Ah, I'm so glad this turned out so well. You got your dream car restored to perfection, and it's beautiful and sings a gorgeous V8 song. When you were talking about your teenage self and your dreams and how you made it, that was good. My eyes may need a new gasket, though, as a leak seems to have sprung there.
Love watching the rebuilds. It’s crazy the amount of work you put into such a beautiful car. I miss going to all of the small shops when I lived in Germany. I lived in Trier and the markets were always a treat to walk through. It’s been many many years since I’ve been in Germany, I need to go back and just do a road trip.
I have been smiling for the last 30 min straight. I'm not even dreaming of owning M3, I just wish to hear it at least. Awasome job! Btw. do you know who the real MVP here is? The Mirror ;)
Best youtube channel for me EVER! I would love to see my car being rebuilt by you..wow. 99% the shops aren`t this professional and attention to detail as you.
Sreten, your french accent is almost on point 🤣 btw excellent video, can't wait to see the dyno tune. Just a guess : 435 horse power Red interior with wood trim is gorgeous, better than the classic black interior with carbone trim everywhere
1:13:25 I cannot express how similar sentiment I had for this car those same years! That V8 engine wallpaper on my PC carried me through kinda miserable times while at university. One day I will get mine but along the way to it E39 540i was a great adventure and E70 4.8i is a nice daily burbling tank. All in due (hopefully not too long) time
His content is utterly superb If RUclips has like an academy awards for vid context He would win an Oscar for editing His editing is some of the finest editing I’ve ever seen
Sreten your passion and attention to detail for all things BMW is infectious and takes me back to the days of my youth and driving a humble 3 Series. However while longing for this 2011 BMW E92 M3, with the incredible S65 V8. Love the progression and high speed drive on the Autobahn with your partner in today's video, and look forward to next when you get the shocks etc. changed!
The car sounds and looks awesome. One thing I noticed is the hood and bumper alignment there’s quite a big gap. One thing you can do to realign this is to put washer under the bumper tabs 👌
@arnasurbanavicius830 - thank you so much. Numb by Marshmello ft Kahlid is it! And biggest thanks to M539 for a great video as always. The attention to detail, explanations to every decision and the comedy sprinkled in. ❤️
My center channel was shaking everything around it with that intake sound😂😂.On the topic of audio, the Logic 7 setup in those cars is really nice,a bit of tweaking on the EQ makes it even better.Decent drivers, beefy magnets. And as I mentioned on Instagram, man those wheels❤❤
Another episode that's gone with the wind...excellent job. Also an IT guy here, Sreten is living my dream and I am living my dream through him. Repairing and mantaining your car creates a bond with it, rebuilding it like that takes that bond to a new level! Congrats! Saludos desde Uruguay.
I am new to this channel but seriously has blown my mind. Love the content and precision of detail taken. Amazing. I have just started at the begging and watching my way through. Keep it up. 👌
I don't know if most people get all the little references he makes throughout each video. "Fogging Oil for Men", and the Airplane movie reference: "Clearance Clarance". 😅 I love it.
man, you are living my exact dream, refreshing old bmws, currently 18 years old and only just started my ausbildung, but i swear im going to be doing the same stuff someday, bmws are what i live for and im already super happy and thankful to be able to own an E39 523i as my first car, its a long way from perfect, but it runs and gives me a lot of joy, i would honestly start crying if i ever experience an M3 like yours, i could feel my heart pumping just from watching this video, im so in love its unbelievable. I've learned so much already about bmws through your videos and i constantly go back looking at older videos to refesh my memory, its incredible. From the bottom of my heart, from one crazy bmw enthusiast to another, thank you for you work, and for sharing this perfection with us, you have my full support.
The E92 M3 is my dream car as well and I finally bought one in 2019. Almost 5 years later and I still smile from ear to ear revving the engine out. No better therapy for the mind and soul. It’s also my most reliable car at present 😂
Amazing progress with the M3, quality of work/video is incredibly high as always and seeing the car complete is wonderful. Personally this is my favourite project on the channel as it's also my dream car. Cant wait for some more S65 noises soon :)
This is one of your best episodes because you told your story here, i really liked the part where you told us about listening to music on your way to school in Belgrade and saw this car just as it was launched, you fantesized about it because you couldn't afford it back then. This made you so human, it was visible that you shed a tear or two, and because you got to salvage the car of your dreams from your youth when you couldn't afford it makes you appreciate it way more than a rich kid who could buy it on the spot anytime. I also feel the same about cars, i have a RUclips channel in Romania where i present all sorts of motorised vehicles and a couple of times i shed some tears because i got to drive cars that i could only dream about when i was a kid. You are a really good guy, keep up the good work!
Discovered your channel and subscribed immediatly after seeing how passionate and involved you are. So nice to see and even more hear this e92 m3 back on the road thanks to your hard work. As an m3 dreamer for more than 3 decades now who’s still dreaming of getting one someday, I can tell you that you do diserve to enjoy yours 👍 Looking forward to seeing the next episodes ! Greetings from France
Thank you Sreten, now 506k folks want an E92 M3. My top project so far on this channel, and that is something, because there were so many good ones. 😍 Go go go
Just binged your 3 part build of your cars engine and its corresponding systems. I find it so funny how any time you say "it should turn smoothly" or "this should turn with no resistance" immediately followed by "which it does" yet every time you seem to struggle to turn it. (the engine when you put in the first two pistons and the back brake rotor with the handbrake). I do say i know nothing about cars but i loved watching this, thats ~4 hours of my life that i have enjoyed and loved every part. You keep me more engaged than some movies i love. Keep up the good work, and never stop making jokes, honestly the highlight of my watching experience.
One of the few channels I watch on RUclips, watching you all the way from Ghana 🇬🇭...love you man...BMW is also my favourite car...so I just love watching you bring them back to life
Love this guy and his channel. What’s very surprising is that even he says it in the video to get it done the right way and do it once and not skip corners. His comments are priceless and very funny 😂😂😂. Send the start/stop button on a walk and never come back😂.
It's just impressive how a self taught RUclipsr rebuilds a modern performance engine more professionally than most shops do.
Because he takes his time and does it right. Often times a mechanic at a shop gets paid for the job and often at a rate short of the hours it actually takes. That leads to cut corners and shit missing.

@@a20axf It's a horrible pastime but that 5k was soooo much more interesting. Thank you again Sreten.
@@FatNFuriousBro your username 😂😂😂👍
30:00 the brakeline has a coating on top which you have to remove by adding slight heat there to scrape it properly away. The coating bulges always under the nut and it can't twist because of the expansion. I even made myself a shorter flarenut wrench for it.
Thank you!
Such an absolute pleasure to see this icon being restored properly, a joy to watch. Somehow missed the installation of the gummy bears spotted at 26:00 🤔
Man, I watch completely your videos without even a rest, and I´m addicted to them
His passion towards BMW cars is undeniable! I totally understand him because I feel the same way!
Looks fantastic Sreten! I have to say the gloss black grills, only because the car has shadowline trim so I feel it matches better. Both look good though!
Exactly why I put gloss black kidneys on my e46 zhp coupe. Matches the gloss black shadowline trim 👏
Definitely agree 👍
I liked V10 after your videos.. But I still think V8 is special and will always be #1 in my heart!
Can't wait to hear V12, this is going to be fun project! Hope you can get all parts needed for it though.
Just as I was craving a new Sreten video on a friday afternoon, man I can't even express how good that feels. You're a legend dude
Sreten, I think your smile from ear to ear says it all. The sound is amazing from the V8. The small details make a huge difference and of course you have clearance Clarence!!
The smile on your face when you took it for the break in drive says it all I think!
You are like a time magician .. 1 hour feels like 10 minutes
Thank you so much for years of enjoyable quality content. I've been here since day 2, and I'm here for good.
A felicidade de ouvir o ronco do V8, não tem preço !
Hope you had a good holiday and what a delight to start the year with such a long episode, it was a real banger as all your episodes are 👍
I admire your attention to detail and the effort you put into these videos.
So happy hearing this great sound. Amazing job and perseverance on zero tolerance in quality. Curious on the next steps. Btw happy 2024 and hope we can enjoy this channel for much longer. Proud to part of your community.
Absolutely magnificent work! Can't wait to see it fully completed :)
The way you work is amazing! A lot of atention to smallest details. Every time I see your new video from you, it just makes my day better. Best BMW mechanic and best channel! Thank you!
I believe BimmerWorld sells a retrofit kit for oil dipstick, should be a better option than a eletronic one
250km/h on an icy autobahn with busted shocks - you are a much braver man than I Sreten. Looking forward to seeing the final version of the M3, but even more looking forward to seeing Project Marseille come together.
No ice on the Autobahn! There's enough salt to melt the north pole. 😅
He’s a phenomenal mechanic who makes all this really tough brake, suspension, and engine work look easy. If only that was true!
What in RUclips heaven have I found! Wow I’m speechless! 5 start content my friend!
Loved so much the episode, and the rolling shots at the end are just mindblowing, love the sound.
I have been smiling for the last 30 min straight. I'm not even dreaming of owning M3, I just wish to hear it at least. Awasome job! Btw. do you know who the real MVP here is? The Mirror ;)
I'm glad that someone from our surroundings made this far, you deserve it all with your hard work, keep it on. Svaka cast brate, samo tako nastavi! ❤
41:04 "Sweet and sour chicken!" is definitely my new favorite expletive. Amazing set of videos, I can't stop watching!
Best youtube channel for me EVER! I would love to see my car being rebuilt by you..wow. 99% the shops aren`t this professional and attention to detail as you.
Sreten, your french accent is almost on point 🤣 btw excellent video, can't wait to see the dyno tune. Just a guess : 435 horse power
Red interior with wood trim is gorgeous, better than the classic black interior with carbone trim everywhere
Project Frankfurt looks and sounds awesome! An another great episode! Congrats Sreten!
What a great episode. Loved it!
Your M3 is fantastic and it looks so good 😍
The sound it makes is fabulous 👌
Keep on the good work!
All in due (hopefully not too long) time
26:00 the haribo pack in the probrake kit!!!!! awesome !!! your channel is amazing man! not getting bored even at 3 episodes in a row
Great episode Streten! I love the mechanical detail you put into your episodes. You inspired me to purchase an e60 m5. It’s as good as you said!
Great episode, and great to see your enjoyment and passion, even when freezing your butt off...
His content is utterly superb
If RUclips has like an academy awards for vid context
He would win an Oscar for editing
His editing is some of the finest editing I’ve ever seen
58:50 / Chefs-kiss represents Project Frankfurt perfectly.
Simply lovely Video and what a Great Job. Sound is Heaven.
What‘s the Song at 57:00?
I’m also trying to find the song. It sounds like a really cool song! But as cool as the sound of the V8 though!
Hope to get an answer too
Numb
@arnasurbanavicius830 - thank you so much. Numb by Marshmello ft Kahlid is it! And biggest thanks to M539 for a great video as always. The attention to detail, explanations to every decision and the comedy sprinkled in. ❤️
No it’s not correct. I’m still searching for it
My center channel was shaking everything around it with that intake sound😂😂.On the topic of audio, the Logic 7 setup in those cars is really nice,a bit of tweaking on the EQ makes it even better.Decent drivers, beefy magnets.
Greeting’s from The States. I enjoy your content sir, thank you for the E92 M3 info and all that you do.
The only channel i watched 1.5 hour straight without any skips or getting bored.
In my opinion the best mechanic I have ever seen, channel is superb
I am new to this channel but seriously has blown my mind. Love the content and precision of detail taken. Amazing. I have just started at the begging and watching my way through. Keep it up. 👌
I don't know if most people get all the little references he makes throughout each video. "Fogging Oil for Men", and the Airplane movie reference: "Clearance Clarance". 😅 I love it.
Microfiber
Just started watching this channel and am already caught up on this E92 build. Loving it! Can't wait to watch your other projects
man, you are living my exact dream, refreshing old bmws, currently 18 years old and only just started my ausbildung, but i swear im going to be doing the same stuff someday, bmws are what i live for and im already super happy and thankful to be able to own an E39 523i as my first car, its a long way from perfect, but it runs and gives me a lot of joy, i would honestly start crying if i ever experience an M3 like yours, i could feel my heart pumping just from watching this video, im so in love its unbelievable.
I've learned so much already about bmws through your videos and i constantly go back looking at older videos to refesh my memory, its incredible.
From the bottom of my heart, from one crazy bmw enthusiast to another, thank you for you work, and for sharing this perfection with us, you have my full support.
I've said this before on all of your rebuilds and I'm going to say it again. Your attention to detail is second to none. Well done that man 👍👍👍
my man is the chillest guy of earth, hope u have a long life brother
Greetings from France
the music during the Vixen Surface Treatments Aquablast 1215 part cleaning had some serious Tropico 5 vibes
Thank you Sreten, now 506k folks want an E92 M3.
My top project so far on this channel, and that is something, because there were so many good ones. 😍 Go go go
The attention to detail from this man is profoundly satisfying. This is pure zen.
I love how the captions say "[music]" at 1:12:26 ... It's music indeed!!!
I really thought i hated the silver color - you changed the kidney grills color and it transformed the car - beautiful
