- Had a lot of requests to review Ellen DeGeneres watch collection. It was about time I did a woman. Oops, that sounded bad!
All kidding aside, Ellen's watch collection shows that she's very passionate about her luxury watches. She is a die hard Rolex fan. To start off, her white gold, blue dial Submariner is a very sexy watch for a woman to wear. To complement her Sub, she has a green dial, all gold Rolex GMT Master II. Ellen has also been seen wearing the newer rose gold Rolex Yacht-Master with the Oysterflex strap. Even though it's not one of my favorite watches, it's a good start for Ellen as far as the sports watch models go.
For the Presidential models, the most recent are the Day-Date 40mm in yellow gold and the other in Platinum.
Ellen DeGeneres' favorite Rolex model is probably the Daytona. She has the black dial steel Daytona and also rose gold Daytonas in with both the black and (less common) ivory dials. She's also been spotted with a few strapped Daytona models, like yellow gold Daytona with a Panda dial and a brown leather strap and the new style yellow gold Daytona with the ceramic bezel and the Oysterflex rubber strap.
Ellen DeGeneres wrist fashion also includes some vintage pieces. The ones that I have seen her wear and like the most are her vintage Daytonas. This includes a 6263 Daytona in steel that is one of my grail watches and probably favorite Daytona. Another one of her vintage pieces is a 6265 in gold, which is probably the heaviest hitter in her vintage watch collection. She also has two vintage GMTs.
Ellen's watch collection also includes a well-rounded variety of Patek Philippe pieces. She has a 5711 in both rose gold with a chocolate dial and in stainless steel with a white dial. Here collection also includes a Nautilus 5990, probably one of my favorite pieces from the brand. One of the ones that hasn't really grown on me yet is a 5960 on steel on a bracelet. She also has a rose gold Aquanaut 5167 on a rubber strap, also a stunning piece.
Even though Ellen DeGeneres has an AP Royal Oak Dual Time, I haven't seen her wearing Aps often. Consequently, she is probably not a big fan of Audemars Piguet pieces.
As far as the Watch Game goes, I'm giving Ellen a rating of 8, a sold 8!

X YZ To be fair, I’m a straight woman who has a Tudor Black Bay 58 and I love every watch he, uhh, she owns. Love the color combinations. Not a fan of the Daytona but these are nice. Not a fan of angry liberal lesbians but I admire this one’s watch collection!

Ellen who is extremely wealthy took her time to develop her collection. Coner threw money at his collection there is nothing wrong with that but taking your time to find your correct watch is apart of the game. I saw the white gold Daytona today on Ellen.

I kind of wonder why Eric talks about only three brands when it comes celebrities; Rolex, Patek, and AP (occasionally RM too). Is it something that celebrities he chose to present only care about these three brands or does he think only these three (+ RM) are the only collection worthy brands? What if someone collects all kinds of VC, Breguet, and Lange but not Rolex, Patek, or AP? Will that person be regarded as a mediocre collector? I'm just wondering what's so special about these three compared to the others in Eric's view.

I think that deserves more than 8.Ellen and john mayer are serious collectors and not like other athlets and musicians that its like that went to rolex retailer and said give me the most expencive.watch that you have.These with blingy watches arent collectors but just rich that want the biggest more expencive and more eye caching watches very offten full with diamonds for that reason.Just see the true collectors that hoodinkee presents.No diamonds no modern oversized watches and almost no gold pieces but trully collectibles like 6263 or james bond submariner with big crown or military sub comex sub or vintage chronos of patek, universal geneve, longines ,hauer autavias or even from brands that dont exist anymore.Phillipe auction house sells these pieces for true collectors while all these new money goes to the boutiques and ask for the most expencive.John mayer are in these few celebrities that are in this category of serious collectors and Ellen de generis is close enough in my opinion because of these vintage paul newmans
