, I think it's amazing to realize that Jeff was 70 years old here! He's amazing and still a hottie 😍 My absolute favorite band and artist of all time!!! Jeff wrote and produced all the material they did.
The amazing thing here is that the people in the audience were teenagers or younger when this song was popular in the 70's. I first heard this song in1977. I am 64 now. The people who are grand parents now are reliving their youth. Plus, they have introduced a younger audience which you will notice rocking out!!
I was at this concert... and yes - I was one of those lucky fans who got to see the magnificent Jeff Lynne's E.L.O and also one of 60.000 fans waving our phones! Great concert!
Would love to see you react to more ELO. They have so many great songs. Some of their best are: Mr Blue Sky Evil Woman Don't Bring Me Down Sweet Talkin' Woman Turn To Stone Hold On Tight Livin' Thing All Over The World Showdown
Last Train to London Ticket to the Moon Twilight Here is the News Yours truly 2095 Confusion The Lights Go Down Shine A Little Love The Way Life's Meant To Be
ELO is a rabbit hole, here are a few titles: Mr Bluue Sky, Livin' Thing, Sweet Talkin' Woman (there's lots more). I would go for original studio versions, they're from the '70s. This concert is relatively recent.
Hey thanks for getting it through. I just saw it. They started in the 70’s, nothing but great music. What you just saw was 2019, they would still be touring but for the virus. They are really good have lots of good songs. “Don’t bring me down”, Rockaria” love E. L. O🔥
Jeff Lynne was also a member of the Traveling Wilburys, with a.o. George Harrison (Beatles), Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison....a supergroup with great music!
This song always has had a huge place in my wife and my hearts. I served in the British Military for 38 years, and before the internet and facetime, we used to have one phone call a week if we were lucky. And depending of where I was in the world depended on whether we were able to speak or not, I once got put on report when I used a payphone in Abuja in Nigeria, it was worth it the punishment duty. I took my two daughters to this concert after I was released form hospital after I had received several surgery's over two years after I was hit in Afghanistan in 15. Prior to that my oldest son had my accomplice and assisted my escape from hospital a few times to see ELO, Alice Cooper and a few others until my wife caught on. So she started to see if there were any concerts or musical events that might tempt me, busted. But not until after we had managed ELO in Hyde Park and Glastonbury, we got to meat Jeff Lynne at Glastonbury thanks to an old comrade who was in charge of his personal security. He is one of the nicest and most modest people I have ever met. He sent us the tickets for Wembley when my mate told him I was in a wheelchair now, and he was still the humble same man I'd met before. He truly is a music legend.
That's so cool that you got to meet Jeff, and such a gracious and humble man. After what you've been through, I'd put you up there in legend status as well! Hope you're doing well.
Thanks for the reaction. Give E.L.O. a deep dive! You'll have fun! :-) Showdown, Evil Woman, Can't Get It Out of My Head, Concerto For A Rainy Day, Last Train to London, Sweet Talkin Woman, All Over The World, Tightrope, Fire On High... dozens of hits and just as many terrific album cuts.
I got to see him in 2019. I was 23 and it was so refreshing to see lots of teens there, I grew up listening to ELO. Jeff Lynne if heavily overlooked by younger people
Jeff Lynne and ELO sound just as good now as they did when this song came out in 1976. Good one Teez. "Magic Carpet Ride" by a band called Steppenwolf..........Rock on man.
I guess others have said this before but ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) put this song out in 1977 originally. It's a beautiful song and Jeff Lynne (singer) is an amazing singer. Jeff Lynne was also one of the members of the Rock supergroup the Traveling Wilburys which was comprised of: George Harrison Jeff Lynne Tom Petty Bob Dylan Roy Orbison You can't go wrong checking out some of their stuff like "Handle With Care" or "End Of The Line".
I know people say this all the time but, the 70's really was the greatest decade for music. So much diversity. E-L-O instead of Eelo, has so much great music man, you just don't know! The hits are great but it's the lesser known album cuts where you will really appreciate E-L-O.
Electric Light Orchestra, sorry Beatles, this Orchestra is awesome. Sir know you know how great the British Invasion of bands was to all of us. So glad you enjoyed it too and reacted beautifully. Yes with the old home phones if it rang a long time they didn't have voice mail so an operator would come on to tell you about the ringing with no answer.
E.L.O.= Electric Light Orchestra. Jeff Lynne produced Tom Petty, George Harrison and The Beatles, too. Plus, The Traveling Wilburys (and was in the band). All cool things to check out!
Next time I hear eelow from anyone I will shut them down for good. Get to know your band. E L O is Electric Light Orchestra. Watch light show and instruments and you will see it.
This song hits hard for those of us who grew up in an era before answering machines, cell phones and social media.
Great reaction to a brilliant performance by the genius that is Jeff Lynne ❤
Not only music of a generation. Music that will be played 1000 years from now.
That WHOLE concert is THAT good.
, I think it's amazing to realize that Jeff was 70 years old here! He's amazing and still a hottie 😍 My absolute favorite band and artist of all time!!! Jeff wrote and produced all the material they did.

He is 70 here? Wow! 😍

This is one of those rare groups where every song was a hit. Fabulous ELO and fabulous Jeff Lynn
I was at this concert... and yes - I was one of those lucky fans who got to see the magnificent Jeff Lynne's E.L.O and also one of 60.000 fans waving our phones! Great concert!

E- L - O Jeff Lynne is a musical genius ✌️♥️ " Evil Woman "
Another great example of an old school band from the 70's who can still rock!

A beautiful song by the genius that is Jeff Lynne and the latest reincarnation of ELO 👍🙏😊

ELO is great, and a pretty nostalgic band for me, even though I wasn't around back then.
ELO is the best Band Musically period!
Jeff Lynne and ELO sound just as good now as they did when this song came out in 1976.
Good one Teez. "Magic Carpet Ride" by a band called Steppenwolf..........Rock on man.

More ELO is good for me
Great reaction. More ELO to listen to: Mr. BlueSky and Living Thing.
No British person, including myself, can understand why Jeff Lyn isn't Sir Jeff Lyn.
I know people say this all the time but, the 70's really was the greatest decade for music. So much diversity. E-L-O instead of Eelo, has so much great music man, you just don't know! The hits are great but it's the lesser known album cuts where you will really appreciate E-L-O.
Yes it's pronounced E/L/O not E-Low.
