Yes. 100% yes. Finally someone called it out. Bricksie, Solid Brix Studios, and Emmasaurus just to name a few. They're brainless sellouts.
I spoke with a Lego representative wearing a Lego shirt, had a large cart full of Lego to put on shelfing, and waiting for a Walmart staff to open display case to stock. He was very confused about the June 1st wave. I told him sets 75373 was a target exclusive currently. He was shocked to hear the info as he was looking for the set in his own paper work. He did tell me it was probably for a limited window of time. Your right Ryan the communication Lego has with its entire network is lacking.
The only reason I can think of going square instead of rectangular is because it might be better for the environment by having smaller boxes kind of like Apple and Samsung making the boxes smaller and smaller over the last 10 years

Being a manager at a Target for General Mechandise, I can tell you that it is a contract between Target and Lego to get sets early and in bulk. During the couple weeks before and the week of Christmas toys themselves make up 100,000+ in sales every week, at least at my store that does around 80 million+ in sales for the year. On top of this the legos are always the first to go and get absolutely wiped. There’s 8 isles for legos and they’re all completely empty about 1-2 weeks before Christmas. Then whatever they send and whatever is left in the back room gets put out wherever there is room and then that’ll all sell too.

Ha! You might have me with the 1999 promo display and the Hoth controller holder, but I’m happy to say I have all the 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 sets you mentioned. (Sadly, it will be much more difficult for me to get my missing sets than it will be for you to find those.)

Ask MandR: I feel like the Star Wars franchise is cooked and I have noticed I don't have much an interest to collect LEGO Star Wars anymore. I've also noticed that the reason I still do collect LEGO Star Wars is to have a reason to watch and relate to RUclips channels like yours. Channels that cover LEGO Star Wars are more interesting than the Star Wars content put out by Disney at this point. How does this make you feel? I don't know how long I can keep going like this. I've tried to limit myself to just Episode 1 - 6 stuff but I still got the "ick."

Box sizing changes will come down to cost. If Lego makes the boxes smaller they can ship more sets in the same space. Super interesting to see they trialled smaller boxes along side the larger boxes. I would imagine this was to test which sold better, and seeing these stats might show if the consumer perceives a larger box to be better value etc.
Is there anyway to tell what mini figs will be worth value when retired? Thinking abt getting the dark falcon for the mini figs

Ask mandr: have you considered the square box size battle pack is to reduce shipping and transport costs as you fit 1 and 1/2 boxes into the same space as an older battle pack. This would reduce Lego’s environmental impact and save them money at the same time.

Ask MandR: I recently built the UCS tie interceptor and I noticed the wings on the bottom are held on by regular joints. Do you think over time the joints will weaken and cause the wings to straighten out? (Because of all the weight on the joints)
I think the boxes should be as small as possible to fit tbe bags and manual.
The smaller the better for containerisation and shipping, helping the environment. I know Lego considers other factors like shelf spacing and picture size for landing ad hoc sales.
I think those 2-in-1 and 3-in1's are a bit of a stretch for collecting purposes, unless they're in a custom LEGO box it's just existing boxes wrapped together for sale's purposes.
Askmandr: What would be the best time to buy the mos eisley cantina and where should I buy it? I want to buy it before it retired so I’m wondering if I should just buy it now from bricklink or if I should wait for something like Black Friday?

In Europe it usually takes about 1 to 2 weeks for other retailers to get the new sets. There are of course exceptions

Hey Ryan, love your videos. In the last episode you talked about Lego and their relationship with Target. As of July 1st, they actually canceled their VIP program collaboration with receipt redeeming. Any idea as to why they would end it so abruptly or if they would look to seek other retailers?

UCS Ghost or Turbo Tank could be large enough to warrant an $850 price tag but I doubt Lego would release them since they're unlikely to sell well

What is your favorite 25th Lego Star Wars Anniversary figure?
Ask MandR: There are going to be 7 25th anniversary minifigures, one of them being an astromech droid (excluding the Darth Maul figure). How do you feel that the special case you made is not going to fit all the anniversary figures? Are you going to make a new one?
Ask MandR: Has anyone ever addressed Lego printing instruction graphics really really close to the spine of the pages? I just finished the UCS Tie Interceptor (fantastic set), and noticed that I was really having to bend the book pages out to be able to see some of the graphics. Felt pretty extreme.

P2 clones new are good
Lego made the helmet holes where they made them is so the visor will look good and will not cover the clones face, and they won't need to make a mold like cac that doesn't really attach

Most of them will be normal sets. If I understand correctly, there will be a set in October or something that is specifically a celebration of the 25th Anniversary of LEGO Star Wars, similar to the holiday set from last year that was based on The Rise of Skywalker and was in a room in the Millenium Falcon. That set will retire at the end of 2024, and will include the astromech R2-KT as an anniversary figure.
It sounds like every other set with anniversary minifigures will be on shelves for 2-3 years like most sets.
