I would love to see her build a house without using ANY BLUE SWATCHES. Kind of like the opposite of a monochrome/all-one-color challenge!
hear me out: 1 sim, 200k simoleons. 64x64 lot, only one bedroom and u need to fill most of the lot. try to use some "special" rooms like bowling alley etc.
i’d love to see Simsie spice up the bathrooms. they look the same every time and realistically some people have weird shaped bathrooms in suburban homes

Okay but despite the budget, the house is so nice. It almost looks like when people go to uni and their accommodation is a blank canvas and they can go to town decorating it to fit their personality.

I think what I'm always missing in her starter builds are more skill building items, like she could replace the stand up mirror in the master bedroom with the easel and add some gym equipment or a yoga mat to the other downstairs bedroom, maybe a game console with the tv etc. I love her builds and watching her build but they all kind of look the same after awhile. ☹️ Still love her tho!
dont you need a tv to use a gaming console? you can use a computer to build gaming skill

has she redone the garlic house in forgotten hollow yet? i always thought the outside was pretty but the interior is kinda lacking. i know she doesn't love the vampire pack but maybe since spooky season is coming up she can renovate it with paranormal or something 🥺
I like this house, the floorplan seems to flow well! I can see myself renovating it if I need a house for some townies ASAP.

It feels like simsie made our family home into a house into a sim house. The only difference is we have an extra jack and jill bathroom. The floor plan was also hauntingly similar.

There's a misunderstanding that basegame means "not expensive" when it just means first available items in the game. The house could look much better for less if you use other packs. I never play with basegame stuff.
She uses base game because she wants to keep her packs limited for people who want to use her builds but don't have a lot of packs, not because she thinks the items are less expensive 🙄
Well, the fact that she keeps throwing the occasional "it's too expensive let's try cheaper" and try to limit to a small budget all the time says different. Watch more than 1 video and you might understand.
vid suggestion! just go all out and try to do a starter home using NOTHING from the base game

Kayla you've done a lot of "only one color challenges" but how about a challenge where you can't use one color? Like you can't use blue so maybe you want to use this bookcase but this book is blue, well you need another one... idk it seems fun to watch

I live in a house with seven other people (3 adults, 3 teens, 2 kids and a ton of pet birds plus some neighborhood cats that showed up and never left). This is larger than our house already.

My go to creamy color is the kinda yellow impeccable plaster. It goes really well with a light tile and the country living counters, I usually use small plants and a dark two-three seat breakfast table to break up space. I think you'd really like it and I encourage everyone who has the pack to give it a shot

I think it would be really fun to do some sort of randomizer for personalities/storylines for maybe 4-6 sims, and make a large 8 person house for those sims. don't roll everyone, to add some flexibility, but decorate and structure rooms with those sims' special traits in mind

I'm impressed, though I would have ditched the 2 wardrobes in the kid rooms and the kitchen counter in the corner next to the fridge and bought an easel for painting, a fire alarm, and maybe a chess table/chairs is there was enough to do so.

I feel like, with two downstairs bedrooms, it was a missed opportunity to have fewer children and had that extra one be grandparents' room to knock off two sims and then only have one bunk bed room.

A build challenge idea: you can't use the same item twice. Exceptions are that the same wallpaper/floor can cover an entire room, or that the chairs at a table can be the same, but you can't use the same chairs at two different tables, couches can be a matching couch/loveseat but not the same couch twice, you can't use the same floor/wallpaper into two different rooms, etc. Hard mode: This includes landscaping >:3

I like this one, very cute. I feel like you did end up with 2 kids bedrooms vs a teen bedroom. I think that only children can use that science station and teens don't typically play with the dolls on their own but maybe there are two sets of twins, a pair in the middle of the child stage and a pair who just aged up.

Idk if you have already done this but id like a video where you explain the lore behind sims familys like the pancakes ect. i feel like it would be helpful for people who are new to the sims 4 or just would like to know what the families are all about

you should def try to build with only one of the three furniture that come up when you press the thing like when you press the bed you can only take one of the 3 first, you are alowed to recolour and resize them :) Please try
I just realized it could be interesting to add free space by adding roofs and using the walls that come with them. Like add an addition with a roof and its free walls. Would also look interesting for sure
I have a challenge idea where she would build the simplest starter home possible, then add things as if the house was "growing", like "oh, now we have 10k to add two bedrooms" and see how the house would evolve ? Instead of building the entire house planned from the beginning.
I would love to see Kayla do I nice size house and do a cas for a family and then completely clutter the house with all the little details!!
