I wish we had those kind of pull down ladders people usually have in their roof into attics, so we could still access the space in the roof without the ladders looking stupid in the middle of the downstairs.

Yea, I feel like the ladders in the sims look kinda imposing. I wish we had pull down ones and ones with trap doors so you could put a ladder up to like a roof balcony without it looking like rain could just fall into your living room. And with this pack especially I think it would be so cute if you could have a secret attic space for your teens or kids that you have to pull down the ladder for so it feels more secret and not just like an invitation to climb the very imposing ladder.

Those ladders would also be an excellent chance to include a new way for sims to die: crushed by the attic ladder lmao

The bedroom furniture of this pack is probably the thing I'm the most excited about, I've always thought that bedroom furnishing can help to make the Sims'personality and style shine through, so it's really fun that this pack will place an emphasis on that
I'm thinking of having this be the first pack I'll buy, and this is one of the reasons why
I never noticed the sims lacking in the bedroom furniture department but after seeing all the new furniture and decorations, I feel like they really work to show your sim’s personality. It makes all the other stuff feel boring and like they don’t really show much personality.
Nice! This pack does seem great. If I were choosing a first pack, I'd definitely go for this one or seasons.
yeah bedrooms all feel copy pasted but with these additions it seems like we can be more specific
i only have cats and dogs, and i love it! but i have a LOT of custom content furniture so i don’t really feel the need for mostly packs for building

I can't wait for the teens from not so berry to go to high school. Sims just got sooo much more fun for content creators and the viewers. 🤩

Nah she’s contemplating if they Match but my room has 5-7 different wood tones,the walls are green, the actual color scheme was originally purple now it’s just everything, and the freaking curtains are teal!! But all of that is the least of your worries I have a wolf shrine🙃 it’s lovely I didn’t mean to make it but I did and it’s just there😌
Mood lol, I‘m a colourblind artist, and digital software with the eyedropper tool has saved my bacon many times now
i actually really loved how the color palette of the living space was shaping up with the striped chairs and the colorful new couch! tbh id love to see lilsimsie do a challenge of like, no neutral tone furniture or something, incorporating more colors into the living space furniture rather than having the rug be the main colorful thing
The new couch looked so good, but then she still picked the same boring base game couch again 😅
I feel like the couch looked a bit too stylish and more teenagey. And you don’t usually have your teenager decorating the house. I think her picking the other couch brought the whole room down a bit and made it feel more calm and simple like an adult would design. I liked that she ended up picking the other couch because the first couch felt a bit too over the top trying to incorporate the new pack but the other couch made all the other items blend in more and made it more subtle and makes it fit in nicer.
@@rachelcookie321 I can definitely understand that pov! i feel like she usually goes for more subtle/neutral color palettes with her living spaces, so i was excited to see her try something new with the colorful couch :]
i hope next time she keeps it! maybe for a younger, college age couple or something like that, who'd like colorful furniture

yeah, honestly it sucks seeing her doubt herself so much with builds. she needs to just trust her impulses and instincts rather than safety
Tbh I would so much rather with showing off new packs seeing no budget builds. Because when you have to replace half the stuff with base game to fit the budget, it doesn't feel like the pack shines enough. I guess I just wanna see you have fun with the new stuff stress free and to its full potential.
I'm so excited for this pack!! I'll literally rebuild all of Copperdale once I get it 💀
I will probably attempt to rebuild all of the lots, but then give up and replace them her builds 😂

But for real this time the lighting totally sucks. But I guess it's because it's an early access version and it's not supposed to look like that. The shadows are super dark.
I've been on a building spree too! Currently redoing the Strangerville bar... and part of the upstairs is a gym! It 2 buildings in one, a corner diagonal lot like the old school western buildings.

This pack looks awesome! One thing I wished they could add was to make teenagers shorter than adults( or an adjusting height option in CAS) or making them look less adult like
That Would be great! I mean you can adjust the body mass right, so it makes sense to be able to adjust the sims height too.

Wouldn’t it be weird to make them shorter because most teenagers are already fully grown and have reached their adult heights. Plus most real life teenagers often look like adults too.
10:18 Discover University has a space poster that is kind of similar but the one from University looks like it was taken down and folded up and then unfolded and hang back up
The light teal dining chairs at the 8 minute mark, are SO CUTE!
They match the trim on the rug AND the pillow on the couch!! It works so well
Thought for a cool build: a flea market. Have it with different “booths” for different vendors, have tables and areas with different vibes and aesthetics that sell different things like clothes, books, bubble tea, etc

My house has a chimney and no fireplace. Its actually realistic for houses with boiler systems because the system needs an outside vent system. It'd not unrealistic.
It also allows you to add a fireplace later.
Wait really? The only houses I’ve ever seen with chimneys and no fireplace is because they blocked up the old fireplace. I don’t know how boilers work but surely you could just do a little vent and don’t need a whole chimney?
@@rachelcookie321 my house was built in the 50s so I'm sure it has to do with the time period and construction designs of the time. I don't know about how exactly it all works but I was told I can't take the chimney out unless I change things about my heating system. Id have to put in central heating and air in order to take it out essentially.
It's never a Simsie build without Kayla forgetting about the trashcans.
I would love to see Kayla recreate interiors from like Architecture Digest or something to challenge her to do different things.

Yeah i feel like the starter home content is a bit over-saturated. I get that its quick and easy to film for someone who posts everyday but its a bit zzzzzzzzz

like 3 times, only about 7 mins into the video, you were like "is this good?" I said "that looks great" and you said "nah, I dont really like it" and I was just like, okay....
the fact the greens before looked good and then the blues looked good in the living room/kitchen area, and you were like "it doesn't look good!!!" like girl, it does 😂

Sooo … I got hooked on the nightmare legacy challenge around episode 52 or so. After the latest episode where you said the next episode would be after the high school pack comes out, it seemed like a good time for me to go back and start from the beginning. Omgosh I love it more than ever! I’m on 50 now, so almost there!
The best starter I've seen in a long time. It feels lived in and comfortable like an actual house. Loving the build/buy from this pack. Great house!
It's something I tend to do by mistake in my builds too, but having parents' porch windows looking straight into your teenage bedroom sounds like an absolute nightmare LOL
OMG, so much overthinking with the furniture. The couch was cute, and in the end we just went with the basic base game one? So sad! And just like the tasseled rug. It was cute, even with the big tassels.
The kiddo’s room is lovely! So cute.

You place every piece of furniture down in the rooms you want it in. Then you place all the walls around it 🤣

More than anything, I'm actually really excited about the build items in this pack, and the CAS stuff I've seen is also nice! I'm ready for the update on Tuesday and then I think I'm going to get the pack at the end of August

The image on that poster IS in another pack- but like just the planet diagram, the text and the design are a little different. Normally I‘d hate that but since it has so many other New swatches, and that swatch is slightly different, I‘m not too mad- would be kinda cool to use both in a room and pretend it‘s like Band Merch for a certain album or something

When you size up tvs do they still show the images correctly? I assumed it would be like windows and mirrors where the game kind of freaks out a bit.
