- Understanding the adoption lifecycle of innovation can be characterised using Everett Rogers’ Diffusions of Innovation theory. The theory categorises innovation adopters into five segments: innovators, early adopters, early majority, late majority and laggards. Innovation must reach a certain critical mass point of adoption or it will likely fail. Gordon E. Moore referred to this point as the ‘Chasm’, which is often also known as the ‘S’ curve.
I have an exam in 30 min and this might be on it. thank you for the help
You won't believe how grateful I am!!! Loved the video, So easy and simply explained
I think this is wonderful, but I wish it developed more the important role of communication (media + interpersonal) in the adoption cycle.
wow, love this video. Seems like you put a lot of effort in it so people can actually understand this issue, thank you!
Love it bro! I know the vids a bit old but this breakdown is clutch! Thank you
Thank you Dr Rosemann. Great video. I was one of your students in QUT way back in 2001.
Thank you for the clear explanations and visuals. I can apply the pattern to a number of experiences in my life. My only concern is the use of an elderly disabled person as the laggard. There are laggards in all phases of life. Further stereo-typing the elderly is not a useful message. Young people viewing this video will probably just pass over this and agree with you that old people can just :Blah, blah, blah etc" and insist on sticking to what they have always done, but really that is most unfair to the great number of elderly who are fine thinkers and adapt well to modern life.
Thank you for your efforts. Great video.
Excellent this is...Great work!
