    It's amazing how I see comments on _every single episode_ about how huge of an impact Robert Stack's voice and this show in general had on people growing up, myself included. I hope he knew what a formative part he played in scaring the pee out of an entire generation of kids - and how grateful we are for it decades later! 😂

    Some of these stories are SO friggin' creepy lol I've literally had nightmares about a case after watching this show. Especially back when I was younger.
    And some of them are particularly heartbreaking. Like families getting split up when they were just small children.
    "Unsolved Mysteries" implies nothing else except that there still hasn't been any resolution whatsoever, after all the years, at least up until the original airing of the respective episode, which makes it especially tragic.
    It's a rare bonus when an episode ends with an; "Update," segment lol of course.
    The key word there though is; "rare."

    • @kriscynical
      @kriscynical 3 года назад +2

      If you have any of the streaming services that have these, they're usually the most recent airings as possible so there are actually a lot of updates! I think it's on Netflix and Prime right now.

    The Superman segment is so great. Personally I agree with Jim Nolt, I think Georges Reeves was shot by Leonore Lemmon but I doubt it was premeditated. They fought, alcohol was involved, she took the gun just to look threatening, and she shot him by accident. That's how I feel, but it could have been premeditated. It sure wasn't suicide or a contract hit, Leonore was involved one way or another.

U really think his gf shot him for being rude or his jilted ex lover that financed his entire life & was married to a mobster could've done/coordinated it? Stop listening to paid off actors & columnists & use some logic for God's sake. Huh? Jim Beaver the actor? How many pistol suicides in history would ever turn the gun upside down? Gmafb! @@below2918 Just a thought but for over 70 years the story of the Titanic sinking was only listened to from the perspective of First Class passengers because in those days it was believed that the rich and wealthy were the most honorable and upstanding among us all. History has shown though that in most cases the opposite is true. First class passenger accounts claimed that the Titanic went down whole, third class passenger accounts claimed that the ship broke in two. When the wreck was discovered in 1986 it was in two main pieces. The lesson here is simple, fame and fortune doesn't make you more honorable, if anything it makes you more devious, especially if you have rich friends and a reputation at stake.

    I love how the re-enactment has George Reeve’s house as this huge mansion, to make it seem like an intruder could sneak in unnoticed.
    His house was just a regular 2-3 bedroom suburban home, and he slept in a loft above his garage.
    If anyone else came into the house, where the guests hung out, and went into the garage, they would’ve seen them.

    George Reeves off himself. The only person that could have kept him in that position was himself. Go ahead and do that (not with an actual gun) with your head tilted so that one temple is looking upward.
    It is a comfortable position. Now imagine you been conscious, no matter how drunk or high, and fighting for your life but kept in that position by any one person. Impossible.
    An accident? Again, would you hold a gun like that on your temple as an accident? It was suicide. He was depressed. Had financial issues. Had just finished a relationship.
    The neighbor said he was rude. He decided not to join them downstairs. He was done.
