    • @virgie4715
      @virgie4715 3 года назад +4

      Usually there’s so much land to cover that volunteers help, so not everyone searching is a professional. Even professionals can only walk around and look for clues. It’s easy to over things when you’ve been looking for possibly days and haven’t found a single thing. Not to mention the weather could change and people move bodies sometimes several times before they get to their final hiding/burial spot.

    • @tellurye
      @tellurye 3 года назад +5

      @@ewaleokadia76 That doesnt happen at all. Dont forget animals will move bones as well. Clearly Devon died where they hadn't searched, and an animal moved his skull in an area where they had already searched. Bones location doesnt necessarily mean the person died there.

      @cautionTosser 2 года назад +3

      the worst search has to be the original search of Gacy's crawlspace. I mean they place was packed full of bodies. It was probably more likely they'd find a bone than not with even 2 shovel fulls.

    • @tellurye
      @tellurye Год назад

      @@cautionTosser I really wouldnt count that. The first search they didnt include the cralwspace as they thought it was due to a sewer pipe. It wasn't until after he confessed, did they search the crawlspace, and found the first body within like 2 minutes.

    I personally think Devin had a mental break, probably due to something in his brain, a tumor, small bleed, or something. I always wondered if the man that drove the Semi into the forest was sleep walking. It is not unheard of that people that sleep walk will do all sorts of things while asleep. Drive, run, cook, have full conversations ECT. And it is not unusual for them to sometimes end up miles from home. They even have their eyes open, but they are asleep. All while acting out a dream. Sleep walking can be brought on by a number of things, but one of them is stress and being a trucker is hella fucking stressful. It's possible he was parked somewhere and had succumbed to exhaustion because of his schedule, he had a vivid dream and began to sleep walk, it is a forest that he could have easily hurt himself in as well. Just a theory. 🤷

Whether he took something that was offered to him unaware of the effects it would have, or it was slipped to him without him knowing, he was definitely under the influence. I'm from Alabama. Thanks for sharing your story. I rented an old house in Huntsville, Alabama and it was haunted as well but it was the spirit of the old woman who lived there for 50 years before she died in the house. I was the first to live in the house after that. I didn't know that when I signed the lease. It wasn't until I met neighbors and found out the truth. I had been dealing with crazy paranormal stuff in that house.

      I used to live in Decatur, Al and I lived in two different haunted places. The first one was a house we lived in during my high school years that had been built and lived in by a railroad engineer. He must have had decent money because back in the day it was a very nice house. We heard people running up the stairs and doors slamming when it was just my mom and me home and all sorts of things like that. I was never afraid. The second place was an apartment complex I lived in for four years and it was totally haunted. Many residents spoke of happenings including myself. I think it was said there was an old burial ground nearby or on part of the complexes property.

      The way he was apparently acting and some of the weird things he did, also the fact they found his skull years later in that general area meaning, he didn't go anywhere else, makes me wonder if He may have had a brain aneurism, and no one (including him) realized what was happening. This episode creeped me out bad when I was a kid for some reason... but seeing it now, and having witnessed family members suffer from aneurisms from due to high blood preasure, the way he was acting was very much like what I've seen. if that's the case, it's really sad none of the witnesses thought to somehow get him to a hospital, and if that's true he unfortunately probably died within a few hours of when he was last seen. it's just so sad.

    True confession: I was a Civil War re-enactor. My husband was a Confederate Captain. We were running around the Devil's den area after the heat of the day's battles and my hubby was tired from the vicodin and rum he used to treat his sciatica. We went on ahead while he lay down at the mouth of Devil's den. You can guess the rest. By the time we came back from our unsuccessful ghost hunt there were people standing around my hubby literally poking him with sticks. We drink, we fight, we feast and then we pass the hell out in strange places. Some of them are good enough to fool tourists into thinking they are ghosts, but there are enough real ghosts there to justify the creepy vibe. Dawn breaking across the camps with the thick and heavy fog was eerie. I laugh when I see things about Gettysburg since I am not sure how much it can be blamed on drunk Confederates and how much on the super natural. Go Maine Rebels!

    Judging from how Devon Williams was constantly on the road and so dedicated to his job it's quite possible that he fell victim to dehydration, starvation and insomnia!
    All these things coupled together could have a serious downward spiral effect on the neurological system therefore leading someone to become confused, disoriented and ultimately become fatal!
    He probably collapsed in the woods from total exhaustion and being dehydrated and starving combined with the weather in the area, he probably ultimately suffered heat stroke, fell into a coma and passed away!
    That's the only possibility I can come up with that actually makes sense!

He walked right past us did not even once acknowledge us or even flinch at the idea that we were there. He just walked right past us looking straight ahead no expression at all and disappeared into the woods.

He found out she was screwing another man and boom. Simple. I hope the killer is found, of course but sometimes the police are right. A cigar is just a cigar. If the wife had hired at least one person to do it, if not more, that would have left a trail and someone would most likely have come forward by now.

They also dropped the disclaimer at the start that ends with, "What you are about to see is not a news broadcast." They probably dropped it when they slightly altered the show's format by adding Keely Shaye Smith and occasional stories that aren't even voiced-over by Robert Stack. It makes the show "feel" a bit more like a news broadcast, even though it still isn't.
