How do we stop the dishwasher from leaving food particles on the dishes? We’ve tried cleaning the filter like this demonstration but there are still particles of food on our dishes, including the glasses in the top drawer
@n7x There can be a number of reasons for this to occur. If you've cleaned your filter and are still getting residue on your dishes there are a few things to try. First, make sure you're not overloading the dishwasher. Too many dishes can make it hard for the spray arm to hit everything with water. Second, the spray arm could be clogged or broken so be sure to take a look at that part. Third, check your water temperature. If it's not getting hot enough that can affect how well it cleans the dishes. @danpatterson8324 It helps trap larger pieces from getting into the drain so ideally you want it in place so you don't risk a drain clog. If you need to order a new piece please give our parts department a call at 847-544-2264. They can give you the pricing and availability for the part.

The little plastic flapper that sets in the plastic part has come off and i can't seem to get it back on....is this piece critical?
