    Thanks for a great video. Question on the stale water inside filter though, is that water recycled/reused inside each wash cycle? I hope not, that yucky liquid should just be in the drainage only and not for repeated rinsing in a cycle... In other words rinsing uses fresh water each time?

    • @LurgsHowToGuides
      @LurgsHowToGuides  Год назад

      No that water is for drainage only and will sit there. When Dishwasher runs a cycle the fresh water comes out the spray arms then the drainage impeller \ pump drains the dirty water.

      @@LurgsHowToGuides I hope you do not prerinse, but simply remove food debris with a fork or paper towel. Detergents work best when there's dirt on the dishes. Simply use powder detergent (no liquid, it's the worst type of detergent), run hot cycles (Auto or Intensive will be fine) and your filters will be much cleaner. If you prerinse detergent won't be effective and you'll get an even larger amount of buildup caused by undissolved detergent and some types of dirt

    And this is exactly why I am returning my Bosch dishwasher and getting a GE or Whirlpool. No pre-rinsing, no filters, no cleaning.

    • @PlayJewel
      @PlayJewel 3 года назад +3

      Those are the one of the worse dishwashers u can buy (in terms of reliability and longitivtiy) the no1 worse is lg then those two ge and whirlpool. All dishwashers need to break down food. In European style dishwashers like Bosch the hot water and pressure breaks down food with force. Cleaning the filters is just a bonus, these filters are meant to mush down the food into paste so it wont get stuck anywhere inside. In american style dishwashers there is a food chopper like a blade that breaks down food AND and strainer attached to it. Any thing like a plastic sticker off a jar or something that cannot be broken down by filters or choppers will get stuck in any dishwasher but In these u can remove the filters and clean them. In american style ones u cant. U need to open up the base completely from inside and remove it to clean. Since its a moving part it also breaks down and would need replacement eventually, especially when things stuck to it and it cant revolve it fails. For pre rinse, its not required in any modern dishwasher. For cleaning inside the dishwasher, it’s required. For whirlpool or ge too u need to open up and clean more parts at the bottom than bosch, just look it up on utube you’ll know.

    It always surprises and disappoints me that fat builds up in the filter and is not dissolved by the dishwashing detergent/tablets during the normal wash cycle. Do the dishwasher cleaners also remove these fat deposits? I suppose it comes down to the convenience of the cleaners vs their cost.

    • @LurgsHowToGuides
      @LurgsHowToGuides  3 года назад +2

      This was a demo of how bad it can get. We usually wipe off any fats with kitchen towel and put that in the bin. Really don't want any sort of fat getting into your drainage pipework or sewers as when it gets cold it goes solid and will block your drains.
