I find it amazing that this fantastic high quality footage exists of the band playing Echoes in the studio and Atom Heart Mother live, but when it comes to the Dark Side, Wish You Were Here and Animals tours, there's pretty much nothing.

Yes, their earlier material was great, but most of us in America would never have known about it without their smash success of Dark Side of the Moon, and the subsequent albums. They had a small cult following here after their tour with Hendrix in 1967, but Dark Side of the Moon changed that.

Yeah, who tf should feel bad about buying bootlegs for Pink Floyd, they're fucking multi-millionaires. I don't feel bad for any of them. Except Syd (and Rick now).
@Allen Albright The Volume 5 Box set (1971) has an early work in progress version of Echoes and also a BBC live performance of Echoes. The Volume 7 box set also has Pompei as a standalone CD.
Curious what happened to the original prints from that album and the work on Saucerful. Ummagumma, Saucerful, More(sountrack film), Obscured by Clouds & the Music from ‘The Body’ bt Roger Waters & Ron Geesin all those albums had incredible artwork! Fully captured the Psychedelic experience in film and art..
I was baffled when I found out that the song "Incarsuration of a Flower Child "was released in 1999and wasn't the song I heard on the radio 30+ years ago. The song I heard had a reoccurring baroque-like keyboard melody and a trippy 3 minute middle 8 guitar solo with few lyrics sung by I believe Roger. Unlike some of the other Floyd songs from that mid-60s period, this tune was quite upbeat. The OUTRO sounded like remnents from the COMMITTEE LP parts 1 and 2 and did not appear on any of Floyd's commercial LPs. If this description brings any title ideas to mind, please share them with me
If anyone could help me out, I can’t find any in-color photos or videos of young roger that show his eyes straight on. You know, without him either looking away or down so there’s a shadow over them. I need it for art purposes. I’ve seen more recent photos, where they’re definitely blue, but eyes do slightly change with age. In some of these older clips they almost look brown.....is that just the angle making them look dark? Was he ever wearing contacts or something? If anyone has a link to a video or photo that shows his natural eye color when he was younger, that would be great.

I like Pink Floyd across their entire spectrum but this, in my opinion, is when they were the best. Experimental and very musical.
Enjoy my rock music sound..in youtube.
Yes I like the earlier stuff the most, Ummagumma, AHM, Meddle, Dark Side, even that soundtrack obscured by clouds and More
No
For me the best period was 1967/1974 exept obscured by clouds

no fucking crust
This is unbelievable footage of the greatest and most mysterious band in the world.
The first album I bought thinking this is seriously cool just never realized how cool it really was.

This is so wonderful. Thanks so much for posting! Loved hearing/seeing Echos in the studio
Beautiful Roger
The best moment for me is at 12:50 where Chris Franke and Edgar Froese are briefly shown having a smoke while attending Pink Floyd's concert.
Ummagumma surely has a hell of a cover
Ummagumma surely is a Hell of an album
Random Username ummagumma sure is a hell itself

hahaha their faces during the bootleg getting played to them.
"Shit, I can hear I played like a dick the other night" Haha, the worst part is that I'm a huge Pink Floyd fan
Awesome material!! Look at 12:50 Edgar Froese and Chris Franke from Tangerine Dream were there 😊
Fantastic and Unforgettable! 😮❤
What happened to the original photographs of the Ummagumma album? The negatives Storm Thorgerson took? They should be in a fucking museum.

Pink Floyd the best ) Wish you are good rocknroll vibes!
If you like early Pink Floyd, you might also like the early Moody Blues albums.
Yep, it's very similar to Floyd, except the Moody Blues were very successful with it.
Although your comment is from the days of future past, still, I know you're out there somewhere, somewhere, but as a matter of fact, I very much do!
12:44 Bono trying to disguise his time traveling shenanigans.

Yeah, that Dark Side of The Moon record of theirs spent some time in the charts, apparently.
nice to see this

No one can convince me Atom Heart Mother isn't a fantastic song. Not even David Gilmour himself.

David's hair was always dirty. HaHa.
It's so gross lol.
lmao right, rinally someone else noticed that. i always thought he had good hair but it was greasy af lol
Davids hair always looked great whether unwashed or clean
He's a rockstar yo
He actually got shit for that by a critic and David responded what does his hair have to do with the music? They really were a faceless enigma.
i want to meet the remaining members
