One of my favorite things about Pink Floyd is how many eras they had. They were basically 5 different bands at various points. You can pretty much pick your poison: Barrett era, Dark Side of the Moon, Waters era, Gilmour Era (post-waters). This right here is my favorite era: post Barrett, pre Dark Side of the Moon. This is the band at its most experimental and adventurous. A group of talented musicians - artists really - all equal in dignity and authority, just messing around and finding out what they could do. Did their experiments always yield good music?

The footage in the section from Australia has the sound taken from the Ummagumma live version of ‘Eugene’.
Amen brother! My favorite PF era too. Live Ummagumma is probably my favorite Floyd, with many other songs from that era (and some from after) also highly regarded.
My fave era as well...post Barret pre Dark Side
