Ce long morceau est un chef d’œuvre bien moins populaire que beaucoup d'autres oeuvres des Pink Floyd, toutefois, il combien à merveille plusieurs monde musicaux.: Musique classique, rock et même musique contemporaine plus abstraite . Wow, a really amazing performance of this piece -- Ron Geesin would be proud! Amazingly faithful to the original, I don't think I've ever heard anyone handle the dissonant musical collage part 3/4 of the way through so well. Every little nuance was there, from the ethereal keyboards to the "Silence in the studio!". Kudos to the musicians and choir, and whoever had the cojones to put this whole thing together.

Stunning! An incredible performance of a truly amazing piece of music. I bought the Atom Heart Mother LP in 1971 and have listened to it for over 50 years. This is a superb rendition.
I am writing this on 13 Aug 2023 that I've never felt sorry or repented selecting Yes, ELP and Pink Floyd as my most favorite, my most beloved musicians since 1973 after buying their albums: Yes Album, Trilogy and Dark Side of the Moon in the same year. I hope they will be with me wherever I'll go in future. God, I have to thank you for the music you gave me!

I was completely amazed when I found this - I've got the album, and I never thought this piece could be played live! You pretty much nailed it! (Edit: I just read Pink Floyd did it themselves in the early years, but it appeared to be very difficult to play it with a choir and orchestra...)
Nice interpretation! Lighting is definitely the best of the live recreations of AHM. Interesting that they sound tighter than they should because of the smaller ensemble size.
I don’t know how the band themselves can keep rubbishing this piece. Performances like this one prove that it’s an amazing and original classical suite that will endure forever.
It's a mystery to me, but you're right. I've never heard any of the members of Pink Floyd say anything nice about this piece or the album itself. I think it stands on its own as a great piece of composition and performance. I wonder if there might have been other, perhaps unpleasant things going on at the time the album was recorded that influences their attitude about the piece.
Perhaps they are more focussed on the confusion and lack of direction that went with recording the original rather than the quality of the final song. I think I am right in saying that Ron Geesin didn't actually finish the job and the final album version is somewhat due to John Alldis? It was also on the back of the abortive attempt to provide music for the film Zabriskie Point. However, it is clearly popular with fans - and rightly so!

My absolute favorite piece by Pink Floyd. It has haunted me, filled me with wonder and finally joy the very first time I heard it. PF has produced many great albums with incredible songs, but Atom Heart Mother will also stand out on top.
My personal favourite piece of music ever since I first heard it in 1970 as an 11 year old, almost 12 lol. This is the first time I've ever had the privilege of watching it being performed " live" so to speak and therefore approached it with a critical ear lol... What an amazing rendition I thoroughly enjoyed it. Full marks to all concerned. Toodle Pip!
I saw this premiered at the Bath Festival in 1970. They came on in the early hours. Amazing!! This is 20th century classical music for centuries to come.
This was an experimental project that Pink Floyd made in their early years. It was a necessary step in order to get to the next step. Because nobody else had tried this type of musical piece on such a grand scale it was open to interpretation. ( the Moody Blues and Deep Purple had success with symphonic backing and they were quite successful). So Pink Floyd decided to go further with this concept and I think they did a brilliant job. The suite is varied and full of interest and deserves a fond place in their vast library. I like it a lot!
It's great to see musicians playing the lesser appreciated elements of Pink Floyd's catalog. For some reason Atom Heart Mother seems to be given short shrift by even the most devoted Pink Floyd fans. But I think it's fantastic. And this is a beautiful rendition that is true to the original vision.
