Naaah, AAF is way worst. Anyway none AAF song on their album can come close even though album in complete is one (cover) wonder. Second album was disaster, creativity zero, hits zero. They where doomed at very beginining.

Smooth Criminal is my all time favorite MJ song and while I am a heavy metal fan, I also like a lot of the stuff he did throughout his career. Leo absolutely made this great song even better. I didn't think that was possible. Thanks Leo

As an original metal head, it had always been tough to admit liking the original version of this song back in the day, but I did.
Then Alien Ant Farm made a cover and rocked it up a little, and I really liked it.
Now Leo shows me how it really needed to be covered...totally metal and yet true to Michael. Love it dude. Like everything you do. Genius.

I feel like it isn't. He brought his own style. It is way heavier and he also changed the riff a little bit by times. But beside that I think it's very hard to cover this song in a metal/rock way without sounding like Alien Ant Farm
