The weekends and holidays are a great opportunity to take long distance orders because the traffic is moving. I’m about to start doing this as a side gig here in the suburbs of NY. Torn btwn doing it on a scooter vs a car. The scooter gets 100mpg, is quicker thru traffic, easier to park & to get in & out of restaurants faster… while a car protects you from the elements like rain & cold. You're not going to even come close to this if you're not a top dasher and also dash in the right area. This guy doesn't have to worry about end of shifts or only half hour scheduled shifts available.
Yeah I disagree as well. My acceptance rate sits at 29% currently, I don't live in a huge city, and I often clear $500 between just a normal Tuesday and Thursday alone, working no more than 8-9 hours each of those days.
@@theScorpion03 29%? And i was worried of my acceptance rate drop to 68% because a start to decline stupid order with high mileage and low pay. This is my second week doing doordash, i was thinking doing Uber eat and Doordash at same time, it's worth it?? Any advice?

So I have insolated bags for hot foods and cold. I take my bags into restaurant's and the food never comes out until I leave the food on the doorstep. My way is slower, but my way keeps the food as fresh as it left the restaurant, or nearly. So yeah I will make a little less in a shift, but customer satisfaction is my goal. I have a 100% delivery rate, and a 4.87 satisfaction rate, some people are never satisfied.
I was so tempted to unassign a 6 pizza order showed $11.37 for 6 miles but stuck through waited 20 mins - ended up $6.25 base plus $29 tip. I’ve noticed large pizza orders with offer ending in odd dollar amount always hidden over pay…
From 1:30 to 4:30 I find to be my best hours most days for whatever reason. That’s my golden hour most the time cause the other dasher don’t dash during those hours so I grab all the good ones. Made 75 between Doordash and 1 grubhub today
Great video! Your videos make me miss living in Utah. Great state. I love seeing that if I did move back there is plenty of work on the apps I run. Those stairs though oh boy you managed that like a boss.
I text the customer the wait times and if something is up on the order . Sometimes I get an extra tip. Also know your restaurants in your area. For my area the slow restaurants are cheesecake factory and obviously all your fast food restaurants. Remember to take orders from them during times when it’s not crazy busy. I usually take those during the slow times such as a Monday or Tuesday night. He’s so right about ending your dash at the right time. My rule is 9 pm since my area gets slow at that time.
When I schedule a dash no matter if it’s grey or not I still get orders…Slow but they still come vs logging in and seeing another dasher they can’t even dash the area. So stay scheduled once you log out you can’t dash until another schedule. Also if it’s no red hotspots I still get orders… I’m going to try the 500 weekend challenge
My cell phone battery only lasts. 4-5 hours so I've. Been doing 2 4-5 hour shifts a day 3 days a week 730am to around noon or 1230 recharge my phone and 5-9pm I work on Monday and Tuesday too. But just a short. Breakfast. Or. Dinner shift I take every. Wednesday off. And. Thursday either off or 3-4 hour shift I like the midnight to 130am shift. Too mostly I. Do walgreens orders I decline. All taco Bell orders after midnight
I just recently started dashing as a little part time hobby to make some money. I wasn’t expecting much but in only one hour I made $34. That’s kinda crazy to me lol
Being in a good economic environment makes all the difference. I'm sure Utah is gold and easy to make $500 on a weekend. I'm in a small NC market with way less restaurants and stores that use dash. It would be tough to pull $500 on a weekend without good peak pay and 14 hour days.
Same here in Southwest Oklahoma. I am in a town of about 20,000 and there is about a dozen or so restaurants and stores that do door dash. What gets me is they don't offer peak pay that much here. And there is some no tipping son of a guns here. In order to keep TD status I have to accept some no tippers to keep above 70% acceptance. I have never made that much in a week much less a weekend
Good tips! I'd say 5 minutes isn't a bad wait time, unless it's a restaurant where there are tons of people waiting on togo orders, I just get the hell out of there. That said, you need to factor in the time and gas you put into getting there and to your next destination, so question if you really are saving yourself time and money by not staying.
Ever since I started watching your videos, I tip higher, and sometimes add on extra cash. I’m not sure how much the dasher is getting paid. Does door dash pay them something too, or is it JUST the tip? Cuz there’s always a delivery fee too when I order.
I only dash weekends but I dash for 12hrs per day for a 24hr weekend no big deal for me it’s better to keep a $25hr pay rate so you can make $600 per week but if you could only average $20 it’s ok you still make $500. I’m also gonna start doing Uber eats every day on my ebike killing 2 birds with one stone getting a work out and making my money. I’ve been training myself going none stop for at least 1hr per day to the point where a 20 mile ride feels like a brisk walk in the park. I don’t expect big money but I expect at least $60 per shift adding to that $500 so it’ll be extra income I only expect to work lunch to early dinner especially since day light savings is almost over.
The worst is when you have a shitty signal and nothing is working right in the app and every time you scan something it has to think about it and sometimes it errors and you have to scan things multiple times then if you have to make a substitution, it’s almost impossible because I have to think about it for five minutes and then it doesn’t work. I was at a Dollar General and I had to keep going outside to get a signal and then nothing would scan in the store
I have a question, so for the first order you took in the video, $10 for 6 miles, that’s about $1.50 per mile which is good, but if you were in a smaller market like me, Tulsa OK, and it was only taking you to a suburban neighborhood that’s 4-6 miles away BUT the drop off isn’t close to any busy restaurant chain / fast food joint, would you decline it or take it? You have to consider the drive back. Because In my case it would be a round trip of 12 miles for $10, I’d be spending money to deliver that order for free at that point, I’m finding it hard to position myself to get orders right after my first drop off. Like I have to up my standards to $2 a mile to cover for the drive back to the restaurants if I want to stay in my “zone” but then again if I try to wait for $2/mile I’ll never get anything and I’ll just be sitting there wasting time declining orders.
I started today with a doordash order for $35. I was super happy. I don't care what people say about doordash bots. The one I go from #gigshield is absolutely life saving.
Hell yeah catering is where it's at. When app went down today the restaurant delivered a $28 offer so I still got half pay but last time it was over $50 so I was still bummed out 😐
So I’m a teacher in the suburbs of Chicago, paying for a mortgage for the first time (and the renovations), and paying for a wedding. I’m really considering doing DoorDash for the extra money but I want to make sure the $ worth my time. And if not DoorDash, then what should I try?
@@alergl9842 how much were you making on your job? I make $20hr but i have great benefits and pension....quitting is not an option but they are cutting our hours. I am thinking of doing door dash but i HATE driving.
You live in a great area for DD. SLC? I live in the Houston suburbs and highway miles come with tolls and there are way too many dashers for peak pay to ever be more than $1 even during weekend rush hours. You’re very lucky.
Delivering during dinner time is the WORST time to do it, especially during the work week. Can anybody tell me why I say this? It's a combination of a few factors which make dashing during dinner time vastly over-rated.
Miles and gas should be top priority over money. No way should be driving over 80 miles a day doing doordash. You want to eliminate dead miles and take orders that take back to where your live
@@westhoodqualzini7884 yeah I do that as well! I make sure I stay within the area I know so I’m wasting time and money! In the beginning I take whatever I can! I just started dashing, I have 3k trips on Uber eats, I can only do doordash at night since I have a job during the day, I tried 3 different zones since I live close to nyc the zones are pretty small, 2 of them are like 3 miles wide but they have a traffic light at every corner, and a bunch of wendys and Taco Bell’s that are always busy and have long lines with closed lobby’s, the other zone I started doing is bigger but has a lot of highways going all directions I was surprised the app said”arriving in 3 minutes” and I had 2.5 miles left, sometimes more miles are better than les miles zones plus you get paid more for the long miles
Hm, I'm on my 4th wk dashing part time (about 20hrs a wk) so I'd say I'm fairly novice but I can just about bet on making $100 in 4hrs. And some of my profitable hours is at night. I was under the impression that if you unassigned orders it goes against your ratings and you can be deplatformed. If you wouldn't mind telling me A) is that so B if so what is the criteria for a righteous unassign There are at least two a day that I would unassigned because of waiting if I wasn't in fear of being deplatformed
Anyone else not about to mark an order “ waiting “ anymore? I seemed to have lost the feature on my iPhone. I picked up at Taco Bell. Lobby was closed. Had to wait for 8 cars in the drive through. Took my on time from 100 to 94%. 😡
I don't know where you live bro but if you ever get a chance to do doordash in Orange County especially Costa Mesa you're gonna be like $500 is nothing. The most I have made in a day is 350 from doordash and 310 from ubereats. you have to come or anybody who lives nearby come on the weekend.

You are so motivating ! I just started watching you this week and have learned several tips to help me make more and faster DD. I’m in the middle TN area in a small town but busy busy DD town . Keep making videos ! Thank you !
I took an order for 6.50. I ended up with 25.00 tip and one order was 4.50 when it closed at 9.50 that was awesome, and another 14.00 tip.
You're not going to even come close to this if you're not a top dasher and also dash in the right area. This guy doesn't have to worry about end of shifts or only half hour scheduled shifts available.
Not true it all based on your market place.
Any advice?
@@alejandroavila4288 Bro my acceptance rate is at 12%. It does not matter. I wouldn't have tooken not even half of the orders he took. Honestly looks like hes just shooting content and not really care about dashing
@@scr3wblu313 almost stopped watching when he accepted that bullshit Walgreens order lol
Snow and icy steps isn't something we usually worry about in Central Florida. ❄🌨☃️🌞☀️🌞😎🌴🌴🌴
I love snow but for Dashing - I'm glad I live in Florida!
Tip: Stay close to Sushi restaurants or East Indian. The orders are more expensive and the tips are bigger.
Our biggest tip was $50 on the app and $60 with $20 on the app and $40 at the door ..
Hands down one of your best videos made yet!!
Great video! Your videos make me miss living in Utah. Great state. I love seeing that if I did move back there is plenty of work on the apps I run. Those stairs though oh boy you managed that like a boss.
Excellent video and very informative. I look forward in becoming a dasher too man
Grew up in SLC … I miss UT snow! Great tips, well done video.
Also if it’s no red hotspots I still get orders…
I’m going to try the 500 weekend challenge
Full tank. I got to stop putting in only 5 or 10 dollars at a time lol
I swear 😂. I be putting in 7 dollars
Lol😂
That's a manifestation of my money ocd lol
My cell phone battery only lasts. 4-5 hours so I've. Been doing 2 4-5 hour shifts a day 3 days a week 730am to around noon or 1230 recharge my phone and 5-9pm I work on Monday and Tuesday too. But just a short. Breakfast. Or. Dinner shift I take every. Wednesday off. And. Thursday either off or 3-4 hour shift I like the midnight to 130am shift. Too mostly I. Do walgreens orders I decline. All taco Bell orders after midnight
@@michaelsuzio4364 Bring a car phone charger. Super cheap and worth it. Also a car mount thats magnet based has saved me tons of time.
I didn’t know we can unassigh orders Thankyou
I just recently started dashing as a little part time hobby to make some money. I wasn’t expecting much but in only one hour I made $34. That’s kinda crazy to me lol
I like you bro. You make me laugh!!! Great sense of humor
Haha thanks!
Completely depends on your Market. Never make anywhere close to that where I am. And now, too many drivers. Plus, Doordash pay is 👎
Wow I got my first 30$ tip on doordash today .
I start my dashes late! Cash in too!
True don't let miles scare
I did
10 miles $34 it's good tips
I guess every market is different
22 miles....$26 bucks...
You did 10....$34 bucks😂
Cheap people in Lauderdale 😊
Thanks, I'm seriously thinking of being a delivery driver. This seems great to get into👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good tips! I'd say 5 minutes isn't a bad wait time, unless it's a restaurant where there are tons of people waiting on togo orders, I just get the hell out of there. That said, you need to factor in the time and gas you put into getting there and to your next destination, so question if you really are saving yourself time and money by not staying.
i got a $50 tip from a college party that wanted chipotle catering. it was dope
Ever since I started watching your videos, I tip higher, and sometimes add on extra cash. I’m not sure how much the dasher is getting paid. Does door dash pay them something too, or is it JUST the tip? Cuz there’s always a delivery fee too when I order.
$2.25-2.75 base pay + $1-$2 when its busy bonus pay. so yes we basically rely on tips I wish we could keep those delivery fees :(
Door dash pays average 2.50$ an order
I live in a small town where orders are spread out and remote locations so making 100 a day is good here
I only dash weekends but I dash for 12hrs per day for a 24hr weekend no big deal for me it’s better to keep a $25hr pay rate so you can make $600 per week but if you could only average $20 it’s ok you still make $500.
I just started yesterday and have made $160 for 9hours total. 16 deliveries.
Nice!
I mase 250 on Friday and 250 yesterday (Saturday) and hoping to make another 250 today (Easter Sunday)
Love all your Videos Bro.. Keep Doing your Thing ..Thank you for posting this Dope Video on My Birthday ..That's cool 👑💯💪🏾😎
How did you find out it’s out of your zone I try not to accept orders that’s more mileage than the pay
10:36 I laughed a lot 😂 killing yourself in the stairs, I swear I've been in situations where I'm like, do I want to die for 5 bucks lol
Haha right?!😂
How do you know when it takes you out your zone? By the miles?
I have plastic bags with me for when there is rain or snow, or no bags at dollar general.
Do it ! I quit my full time for it
@@alergl9842 how much were you making on your job? I make $20hr but i have great benefits and pension....quitting is not an option but they are cutting our hours. I am thinking of doing door dash but i HATE driving.
I generally quit dashing at 2 am when I'm in the city 45 minutes away.
You live in a great area for DD. SLC? I live in the Houston suburbs and highway miles come with tolls and there are way too many dashers for peak pay to ever be more than $1 even during weekend rush hours. You’re very lucky.
So what time are you starting and ending that you are making $300 a day? Are you doing doordash full time?
This b-roll makes me miss living in CO. 😍
Ahh I wish. My market is drive thru only !!! I do not deliver fast food..
Instead of drinking those energy drinks make a smoothie with almond milk bananas and strawberries/anything, is better than that
Delivering during dinner time is the WORST time to do it, especially during the work week. Can anybody tell me why I say this? It's a combination of a few factors which make dashing during dinner time vastly over-rated.
Also, I only accept orders minimum $5 and anything over that!
But once I get close to my goal, then I cherry pick!
I also have a full time job as well! So I usually do doordash from 6am-9am before I have to go to my full time job by 10am!($40-$50 half mornings before 10am)
But on my days off I usually get 2 full days off! I usually work doordash 6am-4pm!(goal $130-$150)
I start mondays! Then I cashout Sundays!
Bottom line. It depends on your area.
Hm, I'm on my 4th wk dashing part time (about 20hrs a wk) so I'd say I'm fairly novice but I can just about bet on making $100 in 4hrs. And some of my profitable hours is at night. I'll sit in the parking lot of the few fast food places that are open and I'll consistent orders. I prefer it actually. Thx for the content though! I'm going to give the $500 wkn a try!!
I was under the impression that if you unassigned orders it goes against your ratings and you can be deplatformed. If you wouldn't mind telling me
A) is that so
B if so what is the criteria for a righteous unassign
There are at least two a day that I would unassigned because of waiting if I wasn't in fear of being deplatformed
I never understood why they zone when no one ever orders from your zone.
Excellent video bro 😊
Best DD video yet.
I was fully into it until I heard full gas tank 💀😅 I just started Doordash like 2 days ago from nearly nothing and I’m having alot of fun with it. I’ll get there soon I know it, thanks for the tips in the first few minutes
Moore. We gotta have a talk about the large order program.
Yeah, but what about your car?
How much is spent on any repairs?
Not gas, just repairs, tires, etc..?
I never got a hidden tip yet 180 delivery’s so far
Door Dash in My small city of Elkhart, iN 46514 won’t take me. I’m waitlisted.
They say it’s saturated.
Funny thing is I work full time in Food & Beverage & see orders either picked up cold….or not at all.
What to do???
PS: I’m the gal who prepare/bags up To-Go orders 3 days/week so I’m very aware of the status of the orders
Dam I be getting $3-4 a mile orders now a days with Uber eats I wouldn’t take none of these orders 😐
Keep grinding
You too👊🏼
one thing i keep doing is taking orders out my zone i just started but yeah its been painful lol
Yup. That's all I've been getting since I started a few days ago.
I make twice as much as that on the weekends maybe I should do a review.

Just got it. Had to download tele gram to talk him. Nice guy.
Be careful with marking a store closed even though in this case it was to doordash they will consider that a violation
The first two hours he was doing everything you dont want to do. He took a $5.75 shop and pay for 5 miles, are you serious? Those kind of orders i usually dont take less than $12 for drug stores and convenience stores and $17 for grocery stores. These orders take a lot longer than you think.
