All great tips to help you make more, I have to drive a hour away to a area to get better and more frequent orders but it's definitely worth it and all the tips and strategies you have shared has definitely help me. One of the biggest ones is speaking up when you walk into restaurant's don't just stand there hoping someone will ask if you need some help, I have really bad anxiety and its been times where I haven't said anything and my order was ready.
Depends on your market. You can't make 1000 in a whole week here. Top dashing cherry picking multi apping 40 hrs 700 is doing good here. Most dashers I talk to say 3-400 a week.
I can make $400-$500 working 730am-930am 11-130 330-730 over the weekend my zone goes. Dead at 930-11 and mid afternoon if. I. Work a little between Monday-thursday I max out. Around. $600-800 for the week

Cash orders in my area are almost always stiffs. The only place I really get them from is papa John's and they seems to only pass on known non tippers so I leave that turned off
A caveat to the out-of-zone orders, it varies. I'm in a mid sized zone sandwiched between 2 large zones and a small zone, and after 2 years of dashing here, you'll be losing out on a lot of money staying in the 1 zone. If it takes me too far, I decline, but 60% of the orders are gonna be taking me out of my zone, so I have to take those or I'll be losing a ton of money.
This is why I can't get anywhere with doordash, the &@&$ zones, they all have to be red and they're divided up in a devious way. It's a major area divided into crazy shapes and basically every order is going to go to a different zone
@@no_peace Yeah they actually increased the size of the zone below, shrunk my zone and the zone east of me and the zone north of me. I know these zones very well, so if I get taken out there , I just travel to cluster of restaurants nearby to get an order back to my zone.
plus they know that if they send you outside of your zone and the destination is not one you’d profit in, you have to pay fir the distance get back to your zone. DD is crooked on every level. They always have been.
In the Chicago market there are such a saturation of drivers that it’s impossible to make any money especially close to 1000 on a weekend and Chicago customers are known to be not the best tippers so this would be a real stretch
@@bt60613 Yeah I'm in NY, but a county just north of the city. The burroughs are dominated by the e-bike dashers, they probably crack $200 a day, but the Manhattan market is e-bike only, you can't even schedule a dash anymore there, busy or not, Doordash won't let you. I do Amazon Flex as well tho.
110% agree. I have a gas station about 7 miles from my area that specifically marks their gas for .60-.75 cheaper if paid with cash! Love that place lol its like a ma and pa gas station
in my area i just accept everything even if its a $2 order or no tip order. it sounds bad but, each day i make $200 to 300 wokring around 5 to 7 hours. i only work lunch and dinner. 11am to 2pm and 5pm to 9pm. it best to work in these peak hours.
It doesn't "sound bad" it is bad! I mean do whatever you want, but I never accept no tip orders. Not worth the time or energy and when you calculate mileage and wear and tear, you are probably losing money.
I don't even wait 5 minutes cause they all say 5 minutes and it's always alot more.. like one place I used to go to always said 5 minutes ,he waited for the driver to show up and after started preparing the order
On 9/13...I only got 2 orders....then they started sending 9miles 5.50, 3miles 2.50,..5miles 3.25...did not except any of them....they will send orders like this and when u turn them down they say you are not excepting orders which kills yours earnings for the day.....Smh

I honestly sometimes wish I wasn't in the pizza program. The moment I was I got bombarded with trash pizza orders. Some of the papa John's ones are decent but I get flooded with trash little ceasers and pizza hut. It's almost as bad as when we used to get spammed with Walmart orders
For me…. Starting before 10 isn’t really worth it. I mean I’d get lucky sometimes but other times it’s stupid slow. All in all slow money better than no money. Personally I’d rather get an extra couple of hours of sleep unless I’m trying to save up for something.
He's a top dasher, he gets priority on high paying orders from another program, he lives in a zone that is literally never slow AND he's a shill on RUclips. I've seen him complain about waiting ten minutes for an order.
Haha he didn’t make $700 in one day if you start a shift on Saturday afternoon but don’t end the shift until 1am Sunday morning it’ll show all those earnings as sunday. It happens to me all the time so the first “Sunday” earnings are most likely from him working Saturday

Where I live and zone I’m in there’s a bunch of hospitals and medical offices . Them doctors nurses and workers sure do tip well in the mornings.
People laugh that I do gig work but I'm making 500-600 a day and I can be home with my babies working 3 days a week

If you go out of your zone in an area with very expensive restaurants near by, it's worth taking those on a weekend.
