I will probably be the last veteran in the legacy appeal process. One claim was denied and ultimately changed to a remand from Appeal. Now, years later, it's still in the remand mudhole. I'll give an update next year

If an unaccredited company helps you with your VA claim can they charge you? The VA states - Unaccredited individuals who prepare, present, or prosecute VA benefit claims, or hold themselves out as being authorized to do so, are in violation of Federal law.
    What is an accredited representative?
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accredits three types of representatives Veterans Service Organization (VSO) representatives, attorneys, and agents.

Let me put this another way, can VA Claim Insider and others like them charge you while helping you in your claim?

This link to VA's Office of General Council lists the requirements of individuals to represent Veterans. They also have an accreditation search. If you have any questions about fees charged, there is also an email to reach out to on this page. Hope this helps! www.va.gov/ogc/accreditation.asp
