I have been waiting since April for my appeals; last year I finally got a rating on adjustment syndrome with anxiety, 50%+10% for tinnitus. I applied for anxiety right after I got out in 1983, and the memo that discussed that I was being discharged for this was dated March 1983. A C&P examiner last January even showed me that memo that proved my case, page 2177-79 of my OPMF, which they still refused to let me have at all. My lump sum was $5k and my last application for anxiety was denied again in 2008. 7 months, wtf?
All I can say is that thank goodness that I am now finally 100% P&T with SMC-S! I have gone through the run of the mill already. I've paid my dues! Now finally, I can relax (just a bit) and breathe!
My original claim from 2000 took 21 months to be decided. My request for increase only took 4 months and I went from initial 40% to my current 80%. Once I got there it was easier and faster to increase and/or add conditions.
Nice tidbits of information. Now I know my 1st claims are done by least experienced person's. I like the timeliness also. I don't have to check every day.
I applied for hypertension (primary) and heart disease (secondary) in April 2022. It was denied for lack of service connection two weeks later. I appealed using a HLR. I had clear documentation of hypertension prior to leaving the service. I was notified that the appeal was approved in September 2024 which was 29 months after my initial claim, and 28 months since I appealed! I had the C&P exam on 10/14/24, so now I wait for my rating.
I am HP client. Mostly Denials in March 2024 on Oct 2023 claims. Supplemental filed by HP July 2024 - additional CP Medical Exam August 6 2024 and today is October 3 and still waiting for decisions on the supplemental claim. Like the doctor said at the end of Bridge Over the River Kwai - Madness Madness. good luck to all the Vets
I just got a copy of my C&P TBI exam and the Doctor that wrote it misrepresented herself as a neurologist, in fact she is a Family Medicine doctor, after a 35 minute exam, in which five of my disabilities were some what discussed, she wrote that my TBI was resolved, she didn’t do any type of neurological exam what ever. Federal Torture Claim Act Lawsuit??????
My HLR took nearly 11 months. I have friends HLR went well over a year. I don’t know of anyone who had a HLR in 3 months. The dishonesty from the VA is criminal.
I am one of your clients. I received a letter the other day indicating that the appeals judge was trying to decide my appeals. The oldest one is 12 years. The letter was dated August 2024. I hope he/she do"my have a break down.
My HLR is on one claim and is at 140 days. Findings lead to a DTA which lead to an ACE exam. No call and exam sent back to VA on same day. I don’t understand what is taking so long. The appeal claim is only for a percentage adjustment.
Good luck tons of info m-21 regs and 38 CFR and Dbqs, your personal experiences, buddy statements, research papers, medical evidence, rationales, the correct forms, logs calendars, and check and double checking, uploads.. You can do this!! God bless
Just like active duty, do something you are supposed to do and either accept an Art15 or confinement to the brig, both great options. SO sick of dealing with the VA. Six years to get a ZERO percent hearing loss rating. They don't even try and help you navigate the system AND SVO's SUCK!!!!!!! Thinking about paying out the nose just to get rated. It should not be this way.
They're creating the extra work. If they properly rated ppl the FIRST time, there would be no need for HLRs. They guard ppls compensation like it comes out of their personal checking account. I really think they crazy incentives to keep numbers low.
i have been schedule for an ACE phone appt for Oct 5th a Saturday for my GERD claim. Is this now normal to have a phone interview instead of face to face?
Dumb take, veterans (myself included) are getting compensated better than ever, not just financially, but with free medication and medical care on top. And Iran? 😂
If you want to keep our superpower status and and keep the dollar as the world’s currency, I suggest you stop complaining about giving money to other countries. It is how we retain our status in the world.
@@mojomojo5779 you mean borrowing more and more money from China, driving up more debt and giving billions to other countries is what is retaining our super power status?
Don't hire an attorney unless you're denied but have clear evidence showing you shouldn't have been denied. If you let a VSO do most of the work, you'll get to keep every penny you're entitled to.
Fulfilling content. In light of the global crisis, rising inflation, and economic instability caused by inadequate governance, digital assets can serve as a viable path to achieving financial independence.

Yes. They are going a lot faster by just denying right off the bat. But, I’m not bitter. Really. 😅
LOL

It took me 4 years almost to the month to get my decision. I had summit 4 supplemental claims. I am a Vietnam Vet
Vietnam Vets are still getting screwed over by the VA....sad but true.
Remember that is why they trained you to hurry up and WAIT 😅

I had my HLR done in 3 months. It was also approved by the DRO the same day I had my Informal Conference.
I’m at a year and counting.
I been waiting for the bord of Veterans Affairs in DC for more then 2 and a half years now
Since talking to the DRO in November 2023 on my HLR still waiting to fix the error he found...this is all crap.
VBA plays with the numbers

Day 110 on first claim… not a word yet, no c&p
Same

All work and Patience
Thank you guys for always providing useful information. Is this powerpoint accessible to veterans?
Thanks for the great content.
You folks do great work and did an awesome job for me so far best decision I did for my VA claim . Thankyou

I'm 3 years into a MH claim waiting for a judge.
Yes, average wait time for the board of appeals is 3 years right now.
Think it's more like 5 years.

Boom
Speed up and quality down. They denied me before my c&p even got back to them for review so how does that work.
No accountability. Sad, but keep fighting. They want you to give up.
is a CUE that the VA opens on themselves considered a HLR?
thank you 🙏🙏
2021 still waiting to hear from board
I've been waiting almost three years for a claim that they keep sending me to CMPs over and over
It comes down to they want you to hire a lawyer or quit just that simple
i have been schedule for an ACE phone appt for Oct 5th a Saturday for my GERD claim. Is this now normal to have a phone interview instead of face to face?
You will be lucky if they call you.
Some conditions they will do over the phone, and depending on your medical records they won't send you to a C&P exam.
We can't take care of war veterans but we can send BILLIONS to UKRAINE, IRAN and other countries. What is this countries priorities?

HLR filed for Duty to Assist Error 6/24 - decision 10/24. Glad I retained Cameron Law Firm.
What's the current average wait time on supplemental claims?
I think they are say 179 days. I am guessing the PACT Act may be getting more attention
I have been waiting 31 months for New evidence appeal to be docketed
This lady is pretty unprofessional in her unhelpful contrarianism. Guy has commendable patience.
How do I hire your firm to start my va claim.
1st timer USCG
Don't pay, see your local VSO.
@glendacastillo6504 💯 start with the VSO after that, then use other sources

An attorney can't legally start a claim for you. They are used for when you have been denied.
@@glendacastillo6504 That seriously depends on the VSO. Some are next to worthless.
