I’ve been going since 2012. I’ve seen some pretty amazing 500’s in my time going, but so happy to hear that you keep coming back every year! Hope 2025 will be the best one yet!
The 500 is magical. Decided to go for the first time several years ago and haven’t missed one since (except this year obviously). I think anybody who calls themselves a Hoosier should go at least once. Catch me between the finish line and the first turn next year!!
I get chills every time as well with the start of the Indy 500. I also get chills no matter what whenever I go to any IndyCar race. And whenever I enter IMS if it’s practice, qualifying, or the race for the Indy 500, even whenever I just go to the track when nothing’s happening, I always get chills. For being my home track, IMS is very special and has a lot of meaning to me. Highly recommend going to the track whenever you can if you haven’t been. If you just go to see the track just to see it or go when there’s cars on track, it’s worth it.
Great race. I was sitting in the paddock area a couple of sections from the start/finish line and after the restart everyone was on their feet watching Pagenaud and Rossi trade places, wow... Lets hope that we are all there this year for, " The Greatest Spectacle in Racing".
Yup! 300,000+ people. Hopefully this year we can see some fans in the stands again for the 500! I went last season to the Harvest GP doubleheaders for IndyCar and they allowed 10,000 fans. So we’ll probably see a pretty good amount of fans this year.
Thanks! I move it around a lot so I can get as much of the field as possible. I know it’s a little overdone, but I’m still working on my camera work a little bit.
drew baum I think that the race is going to happen no matter what, but we just don’t know if it will happen on the scheduled date. But I hope the race happens as well! I’ve gone to every Indy 500 since 2012 and to every Indy GP since it’s inaugural race in 2014 and I don’t want to miss any of them any time soon. But all we can do is hope that the COVID-19 outbreak goes down soon.
KingZaySmitty. 24 It is crazy. At least we’re still having the 500 in it’s normal form, but just in August. It’s the first time that the race will be held in August. Going to be weird for sure when I go there this year.
Update I’m tailgating outside the track for the race tomorrow! I’ve been taking the lawn chair to practice for last 2 weeks. Crowds of 2-300 at final practice Great experience! Not ideal but better than sitting at home!
@@BH28Racing I just couldn't place where it was. I'm usually in turn 1 so I'm a little more familiar with the sights around that side of the track. Thank you though!

@@BH28Racing There's no guessing about it, I don't. That shoulda been clear with the "I don't understand how they are able to move to the front when everyone is running the same speed." part.
@@applejacks971 The drivers have to stay in the slipstream of the car in front of them to stay right behind them so they don’t massively fall back from the pack. @@BH28Racing I don't know how old you are, are how much of a motorsports fan you are, but modern IndyCars sound like crap. You can barely hear them. @@markpatterson7828 I’m 18 and I’m a pretty big motorsports fan and I do know IndyCar’s don’t have the best engine sound, but I honestly like it. I like it better than any other motorsports engine personally. Mainly because I’ve been around IndyCar my whole life with my grandpa working for Andretti Autosport for multiple years and now working for Dallara. I grew up with the IR-05’s and that sound is nostalgia for me, but I personally do like the DW12 sound. I honestly like any engine sound from any motorsport, but IndyCar is my favorite. And I put pure sound in the title because it’s the legit pure sound of the cars and the crowd. With the new engines coming in 2023, you might hate it more. Because IndyCar is switching is hybrid technology in 2023 so it’s probably going to be quieter and sound even more muted than it already is.
There is simply NO moment in sports like the start of the Indianapolis 500. Let's hope in 2021 the brickyard is filled with fans .......
Yup I’m going to have to attend the 500 one day.
Definitely!
Do it !
Wait until it’s back at full capacity to get that whole effect!

In characters what does it looks like in them in cartoons and movies just like a group of people.
What exactly do you mean?
I see people standing in the front by the handrails. They they let anyone do that?
Yeah. You can stand at the bottom of the grandstands if you want. But I personally wouldn’t stand there for more than 10-20 minutes.
