I got the audiobook this weekend! I didn’t want it to be book # 183 on My Book List. It’s overwhelming 2 hear this young man’s voice escort me around Darlington & Hartsville as my Mother chose to be buried in Florence just off of TV Rd (S. Cashua) rather than going back home to Kershaw Cty. This young man is telling my (our) story while simultaneously opening my eyes to what I could NOT see because I did NOT know. The book is a catapult…a catapult. Get it!!

There was a boondocks episode,it might be the first ever episode where Huey said that Reagan was the devil and I definitely remember hearing people in my family calling him the devil.
I used to work for Walmart as my second job. All of my coworkers that I knew who weren't using it as a second job or were still living at home were also on welfare. They were also given as close to 40 hours without getting it. As a cashier the register could lock you out if you didn't take lunch in enough time to be in compliance. I don't think that a single politician angry with welfare will also address corporations that are depending on workers to get benefits instead of paying enough.
My grandmother was born in Summerville SC I think around 1912. Most now live in Sumpter SC. I'm in Delaware we are doing a Heritage Tour in May starting with the Gullah Festival
9:21 - No, I think what they're saying is that there is an upper limit to "proverty" or benefits/assistance that a two parent household can limit access to. Also, there is an opportunity to loss Section 8 housing if a member of that household has a record, even if that "record" is a marijuana charge... And of course no one is going to state openly that their goal is to divide the black family.
