Thank you for your message! As a white woman from gen X, I’m saddened to say, it was the election of Trump in 2016 that woke me up to the massive plight of people of color. I’ve spent the last 8 years reading and re-reading everything I can find regarding the civil rights era, slavery, all of the history that was white-washed all through my education. The United States has done, and continues to do grotesque injustices in this arena. The only way forward is to acknowledge and accept our past. I am, and forever will be an ally! ❤

    • @HypnoticHollywood
      @HypnoticHollywood 3 месяца назад

I don't know about people of color but as a black man I can certainly speak for black people and tell you black Americans are the freest and most prosperous black people on earth. The only plight is in the minds of black liberals who pretend to still be oppressed in the year 2024, which is a disgrace to black ancestors who actually lived through oppression.
And I don't see how you connected Trump to the so-called plight of blacks. None of Trump's policies harmed black people, in fact Trump helped blacks more than any other president in history. Trump's border wall stopped illegal immigrants from over running black cities.
Trump's First Step Act freed thousands of black men when he overturned Biden's 1994 Crime Bill which destroyed the black community with mass incarceration. After George Floyd's killing, Trump signed a police reform bill outlawing choke holds. Trump also pardoned the 1st black heavy weight champion Jack Johnson after Obama refused to do it.
Before Trump, Historical Black Colleges had to go to the white house annually to beg for funding...Trump signed an order providing $48 billion in long term funding to black colleges and Trump's Opportunity Zone program puts $75 billion in 9,000 low income cities, helping black and minority businesses.
Trump and Republicans are pushing for school choice to allow parents in low income areas to send their kids to better schools, Democrats are against this.
And after 8 years of studying history you should know that slavery, Jim Crow, KKK, red lining and all forms of black oppression was done by the Democrat Party, and if you vote blue you're helping to oppress blacks because the Democrats are blocking school choice which keeps black kids in failing schools.

I love how you share things about your own personal life journey and in that there is liberation for those listening with a open heart. Professor Karen I 100% Dr. Carr and Dr. Black are amazing. Growing up around Black people whose mission in life is to keep their feet on other Black people and then to see Black people who praise one another is like walking through the gates of heaven.

The opposite of dehumanization is to humanize.
Which is something we must do for ourselves.
This is why early Blk leadership focused on Character, Work, Education, Trades and Earning a living!
To restore dignity , purpose, honor, self respect and responsibility in the Negro After Slavery even up until the Civil Rights Movement.
Today Blks focus on racism & Victimhood -----we must stop that.

Thank you for the passion, the humanity, the truthful expression and sharing of experience which is truly needed, precisely at this time- for us all. We must each learn that, as individuals, our singular part of the puzzle is integral and crucial to the healing /solution for the whole. We are, in fact living a collective experience. None of us should be allowed to feel comfortable in assuming that our being, our existence, is insignificant. Thank you for helping us to connect the dots.

When I was finally able to get my copy of, “The Coming” I read it within three days. I was told by three bookstores that it was out of print. But you know I walked into Barnes & Noble‘s and looked under Daniel Black and there it was. The book is painful yet healing poetry because Dr. Black allowed the reader to see our ancestors clearly for the first time in a book on those ships and on land waiting to be sold. Now I understand how we became one people. I’m forever changed!

All I can say to the brother is: my sentiments *EXACTLY * from beginning to end!He sees the experience of enslavement, and subsequent atrocities, the way I do: as a major, massive opportunity for Body-Mind- Spirit growth on a level which brought unlimited ingenuity, intelligence and wisdom to our entire culture. It has been handed down to the present day. We are imitated by everyone in the World! Yet they don't want the challenges we live with...it's their loss - we will continue to grow strong while they flounder. Thank you my fellow Taurean, Karen Hunter, for yet another home run!

💦 Ms. Karen. My southern upbringing is helping me to control my natural inclination to confront anything in my way. So. Indulge me. People who are progressive. Think forward. A weak mind can only deconstruct its reality in order to function in it. We know that we are advanced people. Innately. Everything that we put our mind to. We master it, and take it to another level. Every field that we enter. Our presence is metaphysical. What has happened is that we've been following chickens when we're designed to soar as high as eagles. Let's get it.

As a 69year old w woman, Ive always admired the people who participated in the civil rights movement. However, even tho Ive been a liberal democrat and politically involved my entire life, I see how incredibly naive I was until 2016. I told all my friends there was no way people would be stupid enough to vote for Trump and believed Hilary would be the first woman president. I also rhought rascism was a thing of the past and racists were all old and dead. I feel stupid being so unaware of the levels of rascim perpetuated in so many ways, and seeing how the pendulum swung so far to rhe right after an intelligent black man was elected. People lost their damn minds and fear of replacement became front and center for a population used to control. I imagine the strength that inspires black people who have faced such opposition and strife, is a determination to honor thier ancestors who gave and endured so much. You are doing your ancestors proud Karen. We may be tired and stressed but nothing like what your ancestors survived and fought so hard for. Just the rhought of human "ownership"and having kids ripped from mothers arms makes me cry.

But this first step has been incredibly painful, it's painful. But its a necessary pain to heal. I mean like painful like working out type of pain. My spirit needs a work out
It pains me how so many peoole have recently dragged Jarod Carmichael. Cause I unfortunately resonate to his pain and his screams of desperately wanting his people - black people - to love and uplift him
Honestly it makes me hurt for a Candace Owens too. I do not agree with her but i see her pain

If I may, I would like to correct a statement previously made. YAHUAH/God doesn't need your praise. God desires the praises of those who love him as a reflection of that love, and their relationships with him! We can neither add to, nor take away from His being. However, we can ensure that he hears us by loving and obeying Him. When we praise God sincerely we move him to bless, heal, deliver, and provide for us exponentially! Praise is about relationship nor need.
