CHOCOLATE GELATO, easy recipe!

- Let’s make my delicious CHOCOLATE GELATO! And it’s completely vegan! #shorts
Ingredients (serves 4):
-80g cocoa powder
-230g sugar
-15g corn starch
-a pinch of salt
-650ml water
-300g dark chocolate
-50ml coffee
-1 small shot of rum
In a cold saucepan add cocoa, sugar, corn starch, a pinch of salt and mix everything together.
Add water little by little, whisking vigorously.
Turn the heat on (medium-low) and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. When the liquid reaches the boiling temperature, let it bubble for 30 more seconds. Turn the heat off and add your dark chocolate in. Stir until the chocolate dissolved.
Let your chocolate liquid cool down a bit (I suggest to place your saucepan in a sink full of cold water).
When it is cold enough (room temperature is fine), incorporate coffee and rum.
Pour the liquid into a container and freeze for 6 hours.
After 6 hours, remove from freezer and transfer your gelato mix into a blender.
(I cut the frozen gelato mix into cubes and scooped it out with an ice cream scoop. If it’s too frozen, simply let it out of the freezer for 10/15 mins before cutting it).
Mix your frozen gelato mix in a blender for about 45 seconds or until creamy, then place it into a container and rest in the freezer for 2 more hours.
Your vegan chocolate gelato is now ready to be enjoyed!

The rum doesn’t affect it as if you cook it long enough it can take the drug effect away just leaving the flavour

Well because that's not gelato, real gelato has 3 main ingredients: Milk, egg and sugar that's the base then you can add pistachio or dark chocolate for flavor

@@nicholasficarella4531 Yes, I agree traditionally it does include these ingredients, but there are people who choose vegan versions of recipes for health reasons like allergies. No one is getting angry against eggless diary free gelato when an allergic makes it. Why is there an issue once the label 'vegan' is put on anything just because it suggests it was done the same way but for ethical beliefs? Why does it make people angry? I don't get it.
@@KyriusVeritis I’m not angry, but I would at least call that vegan gelato even though there is no vegan substitute for eggs. I honestly would call it vegan ice cream.
