I can't tell you how much I enjoy the air defense aspects of your videos. During the late 80s-early 90s I was stationed in Berlin and it was my job to track and identify various Soviet air defense systems. The ZSU-23-4 was always my favorite. I wish we would have had DCS for training back then... it would have helped us greatly to visualize it all.

How about using the single mounted heavy Mavericks in your next A-10 video, because the triple mount shouldn’t be used next to the TGP because the rocket blast from the nearest Maverick can damage it?
The air force retiring all A10s by 2029 is a huge mistake. That plane is, hands down, the best close air support that we on the ground need. It may be a birippingtipping out between 420 and 480 mph, but it can carry ordinance equal to or greater than ww2 bombers.
By cost effective I assume you mean an airframe that protects an experienced pilot that takes years and millions of dollars to train. Weapons systems are cheap; experienced, capable crews are not. You may need to rethink your perception of what “cost effective” means in a conflict.

Mig 23 is a piece of junk. The export models even more so. The exports don't carry R73, and the export R23 has an even lower PK than an older sparrow. They couldn't fire IR and expect any kind of an acceptable PK with him spewing flares like that. And because A10, doing A10 things down in the weeds - they probably couldn't get a very good radar solution on the shitty SAPFIR-21 they likely have as export floggers on the way in to try a Fox1 sure, it has look down shoot down... "ish" Things would have been VERY different had GS been jumped by a pair of late 80s or early 90s model Flankers or Fulcrums. Basically as a fighter? The Flogger is a flying coffin.
