You are the Bob Ross of Star Craft II. I played this game a lot, and was always quite bad, and super stressed during a game. You take it so easy...so chilling to watch. Thanks!
Quite the emotional rollercoaster that last game. From thinking you're finally gonna be allowed to pull off your mass BC rush, to getting scammed by your teammate, to almost winning on the spot with your push anyways, to your teammate recalling, and finally your teammate losing his whole army almost for free and leaving... xD
Uthermal disrespects his allies here. Like "save me for five minutes, I have a plan resembles a French/Dutch phony war with the Germans in the late 1939. No, Dutch didn't quite won the WWII: they were allowed by the winners to sit alongside with them. Marc, please do builds that hit early and don't rely on your ally saving your butt.
@@samtux762 Maybe he shouldn't agree to helping his plan and then not commit to the plan. BC rush would've been quick asf if he was fed like the teammate agreed to do; so tm fault. Why are you talking about ww2 and the Dutch like Marc was even alive when that happened? You're weird
@@samtux762 It's a cooperative game. There's nothing inherently wrong with a strategy that requires one person to carry for a while if it gives the team a substantial advantage later on. In fact, in my experience, that's actually the most effective way to play 2v2, as it allows a greater degree of specialization and therefore a more efficient path to end-game tech and a fully optimized multi-race unit composition. The only real downside is that you have to trust your teammate, which is admittedly quite difficult with randos. I don't blame the dude for not wanting to give Marc money, but I _do_ think it was counterproductive for him to say he would and then not do so.
@@icy7472 uthermal asked for cash, he got cash.... it sounded like a one off request, not a regular donation. the ally has nothing to apologise for, its Uthermals miscommunication
I found your channel last week because of the 2v2 stuff, and while I definitely prefer the format, I've been enjoying your other stuff too. I never did much with Starcraft outside of the campaigns as a kid, but I still have some nostalgia for it and it's great to see that new and fun things are still being done all the time
At 33:40 when your protoss ally left, you could have done Mass zelot, with Bc's and tanks. Zelot with max sheilds and armor are tanky as heck and can buy a LOT of time... and can cause the enemy Vikings to land to attack, then you can warp on top of them.... I've done it a few times.
In the last game I expected you to go Zealot Immortal when you got all those minerals, because I remember you explaining how good that composition is against Thors. Your ally even made 3 Robos for you before he left. ^^
One ultra vs one muta, the ultra usually wins as long as it has buildings to attack. Doesn't have to kill the muta, just has to do more damage than the ultra is worth...
That was an epic comeback attempt after your teammate left! Thanks for showing your attempt to claw it back! It was like a natural type of one of your challenge videos
No surprise the teammate left: Marc plays like an a-hole teammate: "you defend 1 vs 2 while I do rediculous stuff". It is ok to mine salt from your opponent(s). It is a bm to mine salt from your ally. Bad habbit. Fix it. Better start with a rush that distracts the opponents. Don't be an a-hole for your teammate. Ultras showed up when the game was decided by the 1 vs 2 defence.
@@samtux762 His teammate specifically agreed to it, and it woulda worked great... but then they backed out without a word and left his strategy which relied on them completely faltering.
Yo @uThermal, I only recently got back into sc2 and discovered your channel. Your content is so fun to watch! Absolutely love the teammate challenges. Seeing their reactions to your meme builds is gold. Keep up the awesome content!
You create content on such a high level of entertainment. It’s crazy that watching one guy playing a 15 year old game can be SO MUCH fun! You’re truly gifted!
@uThermal when the opponent types hh instead of gg its because he's a Dvorak typist playing on a QWERTY keyboard layout. I have to switch to Dvorak layout every time I want to chat because I don't know how to type on QWERTY, but if forget to switch before chatting you will type hh.
Playing SC2 again after a decade. Love your positivity, never knew I could play for fun and not all tense like I used to. Binginig all your cheese videos.
I liked your penguin brothers and the other various cheeses, but this has that x factor that makes it all the more interesting. Especially when you say you're massing ghosts and your teammate can just "vibe out" lmao. It's super funny when you have a good teammmate
I've been loving these team episodes don't get me wrong I love a good 1v1 but the team episodes is the new change and I'm liking it can't wait to see some more 3v3 and 2V2s with some of your craziest builds. 😂
Another great episode. If you're looking for suggestions for multiplayer (2x2,3x3), Id love to see a random base hunter to gm (Void/tempest), (banshee), (corrupter). Where you basically just target the nexus, lair, and cc's. One of my favorite of your recent episodes was the mass banshee where you did this and im always hoping to see it again.
I don't even like watching StarCraft streamers - no idea why RUclips recommended you to me - but I'm hooked on your videos and love the style, gameplay, fun; all of it 🤙
main ramp, ez defense is a sentry or two, they can make the force field to block and if you're bored you can use a hallucinated phoenix to scout or pretend harass
Hi, I just found your channel recently and am enjoying your videos which made me subscribed to you. Wanted to drop a comment that I recognize that HoosierDaddy gamertag like “Who is your daddy?” and I’m pretty sure that I matched with him in Coop before when I was playing that mode which he totally carried me so it was cool that I recognized somebody playing with you who is just good enough as you. He’s obviously funny too and a really good guy to play together with.
15:40 no that map has two golds in a backdoor backyard area with giant rocks in the center that need to be busted to expand normally, or do like i do and make a proxy near it and medium distance mine :)
I don't think he intentionally lied to you. I think he thought you just needed a little bit of money and then he figured he could do his own thing so he gave you money early and then just went on with his normal build order. He's probably a lower level guy or something. I don't think he screwed you over on purpose though.
24:13 as you do in most races they try to make the countdown nonsequential so that people cant time the start. I think the goal is to make it based more on reaction rather than rhythm.
All your content is good and I don't even play sc2, but random 2v2 is the GOAT as you'd put it. Not as fun random 3v3, but if it is for you, that's super cool keep doing it. I just think in 3v3, the interactions are a bit too chaotic and as a result you dont get as much feedback from your allies, which is the real entertainment value.
i know everyone will roll their eyes at me but zerg is a F2 race.. it's best served when most of the time you are pulling every single unit from every corner of the map as one huge wave :) i was high diamond zerg at my peak of caring
1:46 tip from a diamond zerg...... i used to dominate the leaderboard by making tons of proxy hatch, no queens really.. passive larvae from multiple hatcheries is superior to injects over time, especially when you get 5-7+ hatch going
The unpause mechanic should have a countdown when unpaused, IE liek the start coutndown, be easy to implement, during the countdow nof an unpause another pause can't be triggered, but that owuld be a good update.
6:50 as soon as a roach gets red, hit that v to make it into a ravager, instant full health once the few seconds of cocoon finishes, and you get a nice mix of ranges with roach ravager for not much cost.. burrow heal is too slow
So when your teammate leaves like that, and you gain control of his units, can you not use his chronoboost on your own upgrades? Or do you both have to share control first for this to work? 🤔
Great zerg tactic against ultras, is changelings, because of their blocking data, you can make ultras derp hard ina z verse z matchup... allwoing ranged units ot be more effective then usually with a easier apm of microing the changelings, this in zerg chaoas makes then micoring the ultra much harder... changling blocking data is not ot be under estimated
i love thermal content because hes so great, and mostly cuz i brutally hate playing against humans in this game.. they are always so dirty , zero sportsmanship
Bad idea. If the goal is to get the other player to leave, he should just get someone from discord to start the game paired with him and leave, rather than subject an unaffiliated person to that.
