It's funny how you're saying "good, very good""don't worry, my friend", all nice things yet they probably think you are screaming at them since it's in all caps 😂
Had a tilted teammate challenge me to a 1v1 after a team game. I beat his ass, and he flew his buildings away to drag out the game and hit me with the BM DMs. I trolled him a bit, and was telling my brother (who also plays) about it. Eventually the guy blocked me and my brother queued up. They matched the next game. My bro DT rushed him for a quick easy win. The poor guy lost his mind, went off on my brother. Then my brother hit him with "I'm Hairyscary's brother." And he shot back "Of course you are..." We laugh about it regularly to this day.
@@martinprince8253 It CAN be true if you're so unlucky you keep getting paired with people who aren't team players and super passive like in Therm's second match. You can't really "git gud" if you're handicapped by a non-functional team. Strings of bad luck happen.

I do like your 2v2 series a lot! next season you play I'd like to see you ask them what they want to do and then you on the fly think of the best way to enhance them. Could be risky with random team mates and if they don't talk would be cool for you to scout your own team mate and try guess what they're doing and work to support them anyway.
I like this, been following your channel for a long time uThermal! Reminds me of this channel called "Starcraft Troll Plays" where a SC1 veteran plays BGH and performs wacky strategies in general. "Joke strategies that actually succeed" is sorta' my thing right now in SC content.
I'm sure the koreans say that the BC guy's grandma is a goat. To be fair the more ppl play together the more toxic they become, like league of legends 5 ppl together means they can always blame someone else for their own failures.
Love you Uthermal! I am always overjoyed to watch any video you put up. You inspire me to be kind and share love and happiness with everyone I come across in my life
Kinda appreciate the last guy giving a proper reason why he didn't want to help you... Instead of just letting all your bases get destroyed like the last guys xD
2:35 correction, cannon rushes without wall can work, the goal isn't to win with the cannons, it is to get them to pull all their workers to deal with your cannons, and you ruin their economy. In 1v1 it can work quite well. A bit more dicey in team games.
Second this. They have to pull workers, and you're happily mining. Pylon and cannon build speeds are more than what workers can handle. You can cancel too. I'd say it's more effective and can win you the game if you can keep it going.
As a mainly NA player from Aus it's so exciting to see you here! My clan jk have lost to inco many times and are good friends with Agentsmith in your last video.
I still remember the buff that finally pushed the BC into viability, which was the ability to fire while moving. It's been super fun to watch them ever since.
In game two, he went from 607 to 1472 minerals when dondek left, meaning that player had around 1700 minerals banked. Then from 1482 to 6125 minerals when Kuraki left, meaning they had about 3700 minerals banked after accounting for the ~850 they got from dondek The two combined to float over 5k minerals, and yet thermal's the noob, ok fellas
when your so good at a game and it balances out team games by giving you 2 scrubs vs a stacked team that they cant possible keep up with leaving you to carry ~
I think that if you play 2v2 and your teammate wants to do something crazy, you are kinda forced to go along because if your strategies stray too far from each other you are not gonna win. In 3v3 if one of your teammates wants crazy strategy but the other does not. You can still have a chance of wining with just a 2 of you going into the same strategy. Besides from my very little experience - 2v2 is more of a matchup where you need to be in synch with your teammate, otherwise it is easy to lose. So that mode attracts people that are more cooperative. In 3v3 and 4v4 you are more likely to get away with you strategy whichever it is, because sometimes your teammates will simply carry you. That attracts less cooperative people.
Its sad how toxic some people are, def in 3s and 4s more than 2s because its enough they can claim credit for wins, and blame teammates for losses. One of the reason I really like PvE games now, not always but like MHW for instance, everyone is mostly nice and friendly and just want to help other people out
I would agree, except multiplayer coop is the same, you can see it in SC2 especially, with half the players being maxed and going out of their way to make it not fun for you, the other half being bad and playing on a difficulty way above their skill, and the last few actually being competent
I found exactly the same, 2v2 is often super friendly, 3v3 and above gets progressively more hostile. This is why you shouldn't play lol. The more people on a team, the worse the team dynamics are. BAR for some reason doesn't follow that rule.
I was playing with my dad when i pulled a similar move, lines of starports, huge economy, he literally texted me and asked me what the hell my plan was and i just said "orbital bombardment."
People who play 3v3 or 4v4 without preemates dont want the team experience. They just wont to stick too there ego trip but not be responsible for the loss ;)
Either you are a commander, whom they are going to listen (then a risky strategy is accepted), or you should rely on yourself. Babysitting a stranger for 5 minutes, while most 3v3s are decided before that time - who would agree to do this?
I have so much experience in 3v3 and 4v4 without pre-mates. If you want to win, do what your team is lacking. If your mates go aggressive you either stick to plan or take the responsibility to defend all the counter attacks, etc. Play for synergy, like provide medivacs for your Zerg mate, overseers to your Terran mate, etc. Right-click two high templars to your bio Terran mate. Cast 4 storms on opponents which will not land on your ally %90 of the time.
I'd love to see you try a challenge where you do 2v2, but your teammate just mines their base and feeds you the minerals and gas (or I guess your teammate leaves and you just mine it). There's a whole new world of disgusting cheeses and creative builds you could explore (inspired by that game where your partner left)
You can’t cheese with this strategy because resource sharing is locked until the first 2 minutes passed. Not saying that it’s completely useless. I did this successfully by playing Zerg to feed skytoss and mech armies.
3v3 and 2v2 are very different experiences because of parties. All team game modes are full of players who are specifically avoiding 1v1 ladder and are particularly looking for diminished responsibility but this is particularly true of 3v3 and 4v4. Team games are a low stress means of winning games of sc2. So this means the level is _considerably_ lower which means Dunning Kruger applies a lot, especially when players party with a third random person. So they can be quite spiteful to the third player and assume everyone else is a noob. For example they might be introducing the game to a friend and you're the person "ruining" the game and making them look bad in front of their friend. 2v2 can be incredibly shitty, Idk if you've yet met the sort of person who demands you leave at the start or they attack your units (these people are looking to 'smurf' with double income and are happy to lose the odd game where someone refuses). However as there's only one other person and you can't get matched in the same team with another party , its more often comprised of people who want their experience to be more social or might be more accepting of other people's ideas, because they don't think they're sc2 gods as they're specifically playing the mode to avoid 1v1. Btw badges in team games are kinda messed up, sometimes there are bugs where you get bronze players being matched with masters players. This isn't unbalanced, its rather that one of the two badges was either given incorrectly. I think I was in bronze 2v2 for ages and beating masters, then I got promoted straight to masters, lost 3 games and got demoted to bronze. I noted in a previous video you put some stock in masters badges but I am like best diamond in 1v1 but usually more like platinum but getting masters in 2v2 is easy for me, as long as I'm not suffering the badge bug. To get masters in team games you only have to be good at doing a 1 base build because you'll pick up a lot of free wins that way.
If an ally leaves the game and you dont use his base to build units, haven't you essentially lost 200 supply? Now a 3v3 game turns into 400 supply VS 600 supply.
14:03 asian server meta confirmed boring when you solo queue 3v3 most of the time you will be third wheeling a duo rather than having 3 individual players. in 2v2 it is generally easier to identify fault making it more personable in terms of not wanting to be overbearing on teammates but still wanting results, sometimes they are uncertain of what to do or how committed you are to an attack, I find it has helped me in most games to just ping an area I want them to send their army
2v2 provides more outplay potential and it’s easier to carry one teammate rather than another two. Also easier to defend an attack from 2 rather than 3. 3v3 requires teammates to be helping and communicating constantly. For teaming up with random people, 2v2 leads to much less randomness but still a fun element of chaos 😆
uh marc, you know you can just disable the caps lock toggle, right? if you do it right, it will still work as a hotkey in game, just not switch to all caps.
3v3 and 4v4 solo que is different then 2v2 because you have the possibility of getting a higher mmr then 1v1 or 2v2 by getting carried or luck. The rng attracts a different crowd and also different feel
Please dont make fake thumbnails, A lot of the reason I click on some videos is that the thumbnail is a snapshot of the actual game and its interesting. Yet now im starting to just not click or even look at them because i know they are just fake =/
I think for your multplayer game, 10 mines-ish would allow you to solo a bit against tempests, unless they havea obs or scan. A little less bc power but more solo power defense...
i miss warcraft 3 ladder back in the day. I would be orc with shamans and troll healers and some odd guys for added assist like the big guys with the logs to stun the enemy's.
Why the heck does NA have a Singapore server? That's extremely far away, Korea is muuuch closer to Singapore. BTW, for those who haven't already, you can set your server preference in the options. After doing that, I get much better ping on average.
3 man strats are harder since you need both people to agree and be able to pull it off. This makes agreeing harder/riskier than in 2v2. even with the same players.
When people speak in front of you in a language they know you don't understand, you don't know what they are saying, but you kind of KNOW what they are saying.
sorry to hear your experience in 3v3. maybe the more players the more chance for shenanigans. might be time to have preset teams to do some extra crazy stuff.
3v3? Against an inCo team with gold allies? Now that's something I can relate to. 2:40 Iirc, that downwards ramp to the natural can be blocked with a single pylon on the bottom - the two torches at the bottom of the ramp make that possible. I remember doing dumb things like building my first depot there or prematurely blocking it with a scv there because of how busted that is.
I feel like 3v3s change the dynamic of how people interact with each other. Sort of a "3's a crowd" type of thing. They feel like they can just do their own thing because they have other players. 2v2 Is just more intimate and easy to understand that if you don't work with your teammate you basically lose half your efficacy. Easy human brain math.
Mr Uthermal. Teams games rank is always a bit weird. So not worries if you play with sub par peeps. Btw what times you play your time ? I would love to be carried on teams by you. Totally on board with the crazy strats😂❤
I would love to play Battle cruisers with u. I would scout ahead with observers so you save all ur scans and focus your energy on mules. tht would be an easy win
@uThermal The start of Game 2 could probably be a cool new type of content for you. Read the game and try to carry your team mates, whatever the low iq thing they get up to, just Make It Work, whatever it is. I couldn't do it, but would love seeing you do it. HARD CARRY CONTENT
I think it would be a cool challenge to have 1 or 2 bronze, silver, ect feed your fast BC's to see if you can beat 3 opponents with low level team mates donating most or all of their resources.

14:03 asian server meta confirmed boring
when you solo queue 3v3 most of the time you will be third wheeling a duo rather than having 3 individual players.
in 2v2 it is generally easier to identify fault making it more personable
in terms of not wanting to be overbearing on teammates but still wanting results, sometimes they are uncertain of what to do or how committed you are to an attack,
I find it has helped me in most games to just ping an area I want them to send their army
Thermy, these “teammate” videos are my favorite vids of yours!
In 2v2 the 3BC rush is almost unstoppable if your partner is zerg and makes fastlings
Need one of these every day
3v3 and 4v4 solo que is different then 2v2 because you have the possibility of getting a higher mmr then 1v1 or 2v2 by getting carried or luck. The rng attracts a different crowd and also different feel
Man, that second game. Eeeeesh. Enemy team worked togeather and got upgrades. Your team did the exact opposite.
Please dont make fake thumbnails, A lot of the reason I click on some videos is that the thumbnail is a snapshot of the actual game and its interesting. Yet now im starting to just not click or even look at them because i know they are just fake =/
Agreed
Go back to Minecraft
@@BotDetector-44they're just giving valid criticism tho
I think for your multplayer game, 10 mines-ish would allow you to solo a bit against tempests, unless they havea obs or scan. A little less bc power but more solo power defense...
4v4 is just 2 teams of 2 who are angry of each other and waiting for the other team to quit
This trend is even more addictive than cigarettes.
Silly goose on Capitan!
If you can't communicate, usually you ping defend the unit type and the unit you want to attack. Defend - --Thor : Attack --Tempest.
i miss warcraft 3 ladder back in the day. I would be orc with shamans and troll healers and some odd guys for added assist like the big guys with the logs to stun the enemy's.
Lol they were mostly just swearing about you / the game
Why the heck does NA have a Singapore server? That's extremely far away, Korea is muuuch closer to Singapore.
BTW, for those who haven't already, you can set your server preference in the options. After doing that, I get much better ping on average.
3 man strats are harder since you need both people to agree and be able to pull it off. This makes agreeing harder/riskier than in 2v2. even with the same players.
U heard it here. North America passed the vibe check ❤
Thanks for the fun. ^^
When people speak in front of you in a language they know you don't understand, you don't know what they are saying, but you kind of KNOW what they are saying.
I think a super fast upgrade challenge would be cool
34:28 2v2 is the same as 3v3, just faster to find the crappy people. with that said, my first 2v2 had a really toxic enemies
should do this challenge (3v3s in general) with fans or with friends so that they can execute a plan together (or try to)
sorry to hear your experience in 3v3. maybe the more players the more chance for shenanigans. might be time to have preset teams to do some extra crazy stuff.
I'm new to sc2, so the only way I can beat the harder AIs is with battlecruiser rushes like this
new to sc2 in 2024 what a time to be alive !
Glad to see new players around.
At first I thought the title was just going to be starports and no units based on the thumbnail :D
splendiddddd matches! I enjoyed the losses even more than the dubs. ggwpwp #TeamGames4Life
Nice just in time to finish my coffee
33:00 cat probe moment
Mr Uthermal. Teams games rank is always a bit weird. So not worries if you play with sub par peeps.
Btw what times you play your time ? I would love to be carried on teams by you. Totally on board with the crazy strats😂❤
I would love to play Battle cruisers with u. I would scout ahead with observers so you save all ur scans and focus your energy on mules. tht would be an easy win
Looking forward to the future 4v4 to grandmasters series
@uThermal The start of Game 2 could probably be a cool new type of content for you. Read the game and try to carry your team mates, whatever the low iq thing they get up to, just Make It Work, whatever it is. I couldn't do it, but would love seeing you do it. HARD CARRY CONTENT
I love these team games! Though i do thing 2v2 is the most interesting to watch
Wow I didn't know people still played this game. I don't think I've touched it in at least 10 years.
Love 2v2, 3v3, 4v4, pls. more!
Great vid even with the losses thermy, keep it up
I like the drama in these games it makes them more fun to watch 😈
dude.... you left that Raven to die. Woulda just took one click to save it. Love your games anyway!
never seen a European say something positive about North Americans like uthermal does lol
I am Australian, I remember when 250 ping was normal, glad we have our own servers now :)
I think it would be a cool challenge to have 1 or 2 bronze, silver, ect feed your fast BC's to see if you can beat 3 opponents with low level team mates donating most or all of their resources.
It wasn't the BC's, it was the ping.
Get some of your crew to team up with for some 3v3 or 4v4.
These randos really don't seem to be into the 'team' part.
Also: we love these team games.
You should rename yourself to "TrustMeBro".
love the team content
too busy being mad in chat to play the game, classic
Don't worry, there's no more Archon toilet
Love these new videos.
I love your videos! ❤
"Not fun" coming from a guy called NoFart EatPube... That's rich
Please more team games Uthermal!
