I love it. I am (probably?) on the younger side of your audience, but I still occasionally listen to radio! Mostly I listen to recordings of old radio shows, especially ones where I find new music, but I listen to my local classical music station whenever I find myself troubled. I think that the advantage of radio (over, say, podcasts and music streaming services) is that you get to discover new things. They cast a wide net, whereas podcasts are narrow (the opposite is also true - the ability to narrowly focus on different subjects makes podcasts attractive).I suspect that the same is true when comparing netflix to "traditional" television. A second advantage is the live of it all, the radio is a great source for news on-the-go, and it's free in everyone's car. Finally, and I don't know if this is true everywhere but it's certainly true around where I live, government subsidies allow radio stations to have class act hosts that you normally wouldn't get, from art critics to historians, former statesmen, etc. Anyways, enough rambling for today, I should be focusing on work. I'll probably turn on the radio!

Lovely to hear the lyrics, which was the first time for me. Beautifully sung too. Ironically, the shipping forecast used to be transmitted from Daventry, about as far from the sea as you could get!
