There are 2 setups shown toward the end of the video - a qualifying, and a race setup. General Setup: -- The qualifying setup is setup for a cold track, so if the conditions are hotter than 15c, you should consider using the soft tyres. Setup works best the faster the car is driven. -- Second setup is a race setup. It works for most online races (15 minute open lobbies). But, if the session is longer (and the tank is fuller), the ride height might invalidate - to counteract this, you can stiffen the front suspension a by 1 or 2 ticks. Setup is slightly slower over one lap, but is easier on tyres and faster over a stint. Traction Control (TC1 = Most Intervention, TC11= Least Intervention): -- TC6 is used in the qualy setup, and allows enough slip to be driven fast. 7 or 8 can be used (allows more slip), but might be too much slip that would make the tires catch fire. -- TC4 is used in the race setup, as I think it's the right balance between pace and consistency, though if your driving style allows for it, then you can put it to TC 7 or 8. Differential: -- Diff setting can vary depending on driving style. The one on the qualy setup is a little more aggressive, and the rear tends to want to be unstable under braking. If it's too unstable, you can increase the diff coast setting. -- Diff power (RWD) = on throttle (lower number = understeer, higher = oversteer). -- Diff coast (RWD) = off throttle (lower number = oversteer, higher = understeer). If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask me in the comments below.
Great setups! I improved my time with over a second from 2:17:9XX to 2:16:9XX almost right away (within 3 laps)! I'm pretty confident that I can hit low 2:16's or even high 2:15's with this setup, just more practice. Thank you a lot!
You guys are crazy... 2:14? Wtf? I'm here struggling to beat my 2:27. Do you brake I'm that middle part between the first turn and DRS straight or just let off the gas?
Usually you can brake a little while turning into the corner, just make sure you don't lock the rears because that loses a lot of time. You can also see the throttle/brake trail at the hud on the top of the screen. Green = throttle, red =brake
hey just for a shoutout; your race setup, with some tweaks, got me 2.14.7 on softs! and it was a hot track, 23 degrees! I can get low 15.’s consistently on the racemaniacs server during the race :) now I can compete with air and v.leiterholt 😀
@@ntst22 diff coast to 60, wing rear 5, arb 3/2.. small tweaks here and there.. oh and pumped up the ride height for 2 cm’s both rear and front. got two compliments from people, saying it’s a great setup! credits to you.. btw your nickname sounds very familiar.. I should have seen you somewhere online.. were you by any chance on racemaniacs spa or vivaio monza servers?
I did 2:24.3 with keyboard. But i can't record laptime shorter than this..... Btw your driving skill is awesome!!!! Would you let me know the name of racing wheel you are using now? ;)
I believe at the time I was using one called InMersive. But now I use one called A3PP, of which I recommend. Link; www.racedepartment.com/downloads/a3pp-beautiful-ppfilter-for-assetto-corsa.24258/

braking is as smooth as with abs! thanks for including your brake inputs, really helped me with learning to stop cars without abs
You're welcome! Glad it helped you out :) If you have any more questions, drop a new comment and I'll respond to it as soon as I can.
Thanks a lot for the setup, the detailed explanations and the lap.
Very great to find such openminded help here.

Nice! Glad to hear that the setups helped, let me know if any of my other setups help as well!
@@ntst22 Yeah, definitely going to try C7R @spa and R8 LMS @nords later!
Nice! I've seen people go faster than I did with those setups, I'm sure that you will like those setups :D
i love how the 3 bottons on the left say kill - beam - ok
This setup put me straight from a 2:19.3 to a 2:17.4 on softs, thanks so much!
Glad to hear that the setup helped! I have plenty more setups on my channel if you're interested :D

Nice! What kind of tweaks? Also setup tweaks can be personal, so I'm glad that you found a setup that works for you!

@@cemususus I used to race a lot, but not as much anymore... I haven't gone into an open lobby in almost a year!
@@ntst22 yeah my memory was from older days. monza I guess.. anyway thanks for the setup!
@@cemususus No worries! Glad you enjoyed the setup!
I tried same setup and racing lines but dont get below 2:21. even on straight i only get up to 245km/h. Any idea what is wrong?
Hmm. Im not sure, maybe try see if the pedals are fully depressed, you can check this in the settings tab.
Thank you this helped! Somehow the initial calibration was lost. Now managed to drive a 2:16:5
Nice! Glad that I was able to help you, now lets see those 15s come through :)

Wow very nice thanks for sharing : D
You're welcome, glad you liked it!
Great lap.
Thank you!
Awesome mate! Do you sometimes go to public lobbies?
Unfortunately no, haven't done so in a while
Nice lap. Can you teach a newbie like me some time 😅
Add me on Steam, I'll give you some tips from here and there.
Hi do you use à spécial Filter ?
I believe at the time I was using one called InMersive. But now I use one called A3PP, of which I recommend.

No, its the 911 RSR that comes with the game.
@@ntst22 ah sorry, i didn't know that, thanks alot for answering
No problem! If you have any more questions, you know where to find me :)
fucking hell you're braking much better than me
Really hard to get used to with no ABS, but you'll get there eventually :))
No much FPS on your rig. :S
