I have always loved RP as a thief in MMO's but could never actual steal anything. Pumped to give it a try on UO Outlands! Never played any Ultima game before so its going to be a step learning curve but I am so hyped to finally get to play my fantasy! Great guide to help understand what the hell is going on!

@@SanguineJester I managed to steal some cheese! Got red hand but my stats are still all over the place. Excited to get them situated before trying to steal in a dungeon. Very interesting how the game design really affects how players interact. The community has been extremely helpful and welcoming!

Hey, sorry for the slow response. I run 100 str, 90 dex, and 35 int. I run high dex because I use healing & wrestling, both of which benefit from dex. If you don't run either, just take int to 100.
I base them on the Discord prices, where people are currently paying 35-40k. Outlands uses a custom client called "Classic UO". No other clients are allowed or will work. It comes with Razor, but they're working on bringing it directly into the client so no 3rd-party programs are used.

I mean, stealing is fun and all, however outlands = aspect and chain xp, the money u make from stealing gets u nowhere, it's like seating at the poker table all day
That argument goes both ways, though. Games are meant to be fun, if you are having fun, then you are making all the progress you need. Aspect and chain XP is only one facet of Outlands. Some people log into UO simply to RP, or to decorate their homes, or craft armor and run a vendor. You can interface with societies, but if you don't enjoy doing it, are you missing out on anything by not doing them? I certainly don't think so. Stealing funds every activity I enjoy doing in UO, from giveaways to fashion-wars, and ultimately supplies me with all the fun that I need.

audio has too much lows and not enough highs. for not native speaker a bit difficult to catch it all
