    OK, I like your video because it’s got some great information unfortunately I don’t know nothing about this so this is what happened to me. I think they cut a few corners. I won’t lie but my backyard looks great. It’s uneven. You can see it until I might get them to come and fix that, it’s a 10 year warranty on my turf. And you’re right I think it was your number six or seven that it gets super hot. I could not tell you how scolded my feet were. I left my sandals out. They have a black base to slip them on. They were scorching hot stood on the turf for five seconds before I jumped in the pool to save my souls. … Soles more like it. Anyway, great video and now I’m working on perfecting backyard cleanup because we have a lot of wind and south Texas and a lot of leaves so I’m working on that part lol

    Great Video, Thank you! I have a couple of questions. We have an unfinished fenced in back yard that is basically for our dogs. 1. Do you have to get rid of the rubber infill or can it stay in? 2. Do you know if the rubber infill gets into the dogs paws and would get tracked into the house? 3. Do you have a video of your installation? Thanks

      i don't think it would get tracked in but it is very heavy to work with. I dont think i have an installation vid unfortunately.

    One con of used turf that doesnt get mentioned is... even though all the turf comes from the same source, different panels are going to be worn and faded differently.(Sun and foot traffic) so when you butt up a less worn panel to a more faded panel, the turf will look like 2 completely different colors... for everybody saying "no way! No big deal"... professional installers are not able to use The exact same turf from the exact same manufacturer that is cut from a different dye lot, it just doesn't blend in.

    Since it is already so heavy duty with the infill in it. Do you still need to put a base under like crushed gravel?

      @WorknDirt  Год назад +1

      it depends on the application. If it's not for sports, or going to be seeing a lot of heavy traffic, or its not crucial that you need it perfectly flat all the time then you don't really need it.

    Cant you reuse the turf down with "infill"? it holds the turf down ..What am i missing? thanks

      A 13' x 40' roll of grass had enough infill to fill a 2 yd.³ dumpster. It's a lot to handle logistically speaking. trying to transport the grass with the infill triples the weight. Bottom line the infill is heavy, messy and hard to handle unless you develop a container transport system. and we didn't want the infill granules getting into the pool. I hope that helps.

      in addition, there are a lot of trees and weeds where we placed the grass and so it's been very convenient to flip the grass and shake it out once in a while. If it had a bunch of infill in it, it would be hard to do.

      @@WorknDirt There is a company called Repurposed Materials in several states that has some rocking deals. Sometimes narrower widths of like 4-12 feet, but they are much easier to handle.

    First couple years are great and it looks amazing. Then the reality of plastic glued to a net kicks in and this stuff gets in everything and everywhere. It imbeds in your socks and carpets. Gets stuck in shoes and the wind spreads it all over. Decide you want to take it out and you are left with plastic pieces all over the yard. This is a bad decision I am still paying for and cleaning up years later. My neighbors even got theirs brand new very expensive and high quality. They got about 5 years before it started to deteriorate.

      oh wow, im curious, was the type you used from a big box retailer or “used” from a sport field

      @@WorknDirt Mine was from a sports field and was probably at least 5 years old. The neighbor got brand new commercial grade. they both continued to look good it was just the small pieces that got everywhere that made me nuts. of course when we moved to the lake house we had to deal with the box store crap that was 20 years old and that was way worse.
