- Doctor Doom is one of the most beloved villains in all of Marvel Comics. Maybe it’s his signature metal suit with a green cape, maybe it’s the way he has a massive ego and believes that he deserves to rule over everybody, or maybe it’s his perfect blend of genius intellect with mystical abilities that make Doom such a staple in big Marvel stories. Doom is a great character but given all he can do, what would you say is his best ability or power? Well that’s what I’m going to find out today!
First and foremost, I’m going to talk about his time as God Emperor Doom, where he managed to take the Beyonder’s powers and rewrite reality in his own image. This shows what happens when Doom is allowed to run free and do whatever he wants and it’s very telling of his character overall. I’m also going to talk about how he’s a pretty solid sorcerer with his magical abilities, has trained his mind in certain psionics and is just an all around genius and one of the smartest people on the planet. That’s quite the resume! Did you know on top of all that he’s also an expert martial artist? Is there anything this guy can’t do? Besides be in bad Fox Fantastic Four movies I guess.

He’ll be introduced in Wakanda Forever’s post credit scene
He could have a cameo in the post credit scene of black panther: WAKANDA forever and then show up in avengers: secret wars
He should get his own solo movie that explains his origins, motivations, and powers. It should be a Phase 5 or 6 film
They'll probably make him a bank robber or something. After Gorr, I've accepted that fact that when Doom shows up in the MCU I will be disapointed.

@@KP-zk9kf First of, they did not compare anybody to anyone. second, taking away his armor and magic is like taking away Gorrs necrosword, you're taking away their identity, good thing he still have his intellect regardless which the root of all he has.

Seeing Doom doing martial arts and kicking the asses of avengers would be a remarkable sight to see and of course one of his abilities(i.e diplomatic immunity) should be introduced in the MCU, that would make him even scarier (I guess)
This is why I heavily advocate that Dr. Doom should be the next big bad after Thanos. Not Kang the Conqueror.
They're going to adapt Secret Wars so they'll probably make The Beyonder a Kang variant and Doctor Doom will steal his powers like the comics

I know Dr Doom is ultimately the better villain, but in my mind, Kang appears before Dr Doom when listing other villains the avengers could fight, though they could be saving him for the Fantastic Four film, which would be WAY WAY WAY better than MOLE MAN!!!🤣

With the first family connections i do think they'll more then likely wait for now but i agree he'd be a better choice plus from being silly to a straight up best they'd have plenty to draw on for him. All most of it is at least entertaining
Doom is a polymath, the best thing about him is that he didn’t get his powers like others via accident or was born with it. He went from being powerless to being the most powerful beings simply by getting it. Science and Sorcery.
This video just scratches the surface of why Doom is such a great character and why I’m such a fan. Tho he most definitely has committed plenty of villainous actions, he really does believe he’s the hero of his own story and the savior of humanity. This was really shown in the Doomwar storyline, where Doom essentially invaded Wakanda to try and acquire vibranium. And the Panther goddess bast let him, as they deemed Doom’s intentions were not evil. There’s ONE future in which earth thrives, and it’s under Doom’s rule. Not only this, but a big part of his quest for ultimate power is to be powerful enough to save his mothers soul from Mephisto. The Strange/Doom Triumph and Torment story explores this very well and I hope it’ll be explored in the MCU in a Dr. Strange 4, given it likely won’t be in the third
Looking at the MCU’s current state he will be an “evil white heterosexual man” who is evil just to be evil.
It would be cool to see doctor doom go against doctor strange or iron man if he were still alive

Dr. Doom to me was always one of those characters I grew up hating for no reason but highly respected for his character background.

Dr doom is one of Marvel,s greatest Superviilains he can use magic and Tech gadgets at the same time, he can even take powerful heroes🤖🤖.
Given how the MCU is currently I'm worried how they would treat Doom. on that gray area of good or bad interpretation
They better hurry up and do his character some justice in the MCU. It sucks seeing my favorite villain be portrayed so poorly in his 2 fantastic 4 movies especially the reboot

Doom is sadly to complex and powerful of a character. and with the current low writing of the MCU its not gonna do him justice. the acting and visuals of phase 4 has been phenomenal, no lies there. so in that way I have hope. but with bad writing its just gonna fall lower than his other appearances in movies. he needs almost a short tv show on doom. to explore his Character more
Unfortunately by the time he shows up the MCU will be a shell of what it once was
With the current state of the MCU, he will likely show up for one movie, to have Susan Storm kick his ass and send him crying back home, never to be seen on screen again accept in maybe a cameo
Dont get me wrong, would love to see him in live action and even think that Doom and Battleworld woulda been a better ending for Season One of Loki, but eh... choices were made, and it is what it is....sadly
I doubt we will ever see a true villian again, let alone one as strong, clever, and diabolical as Victor Von Doom, and it saddens me

Doom is an Evil version of Ironman. A very complex character who really needs his own movie or to be featured in one
In the last Fantastic four movie rise of the Silver surfer he stole the board like it was nothing and got more powers to add his magic🛡🛡.

That's what's so damn fresh about him. The stories he's involved in are usually a joy to read because it's hard to predict what will happen
@@johnm.9597 Triumph and Torment is my favorite Doom story. Him teaming up with Dr. Strange, Contest of the Vishanti, fighting Mephisto and other demons in hell; you really never know what you’ll get with Doom, but it will be interesting

Doom is Marvel's GOAT villain; he can do anything and fight anyone in any field. I'm of the controversial opinion that he's superior to Reed in terms of intellect and only loses to the latter due to his ego and self-doubt. An unshackled Doom crushes ANYBODY.
When he called Dr Doom a very skilled artist I literally just imagined Doom but with a Hitler origin story

Doc.diesel needs his own trilogy in conjunction with regular stories, it's impossible to get him right with a single showing, he's been the mastermind in front and in the shadows for the longest, again a trilogy in conjuction with a villian arc in all the mcu, even guardians of the galaxy, as he's challenged and survived odin of asgard. ✔️💯

With current MCU I wouldn’t put my hopes too high. They will find a way to ruin him or make him absolutely one dimensional evil.
Doom is the best Marvel Villain, then Magneto because sometimes they make a good point and slip into being antiheroes.

Doom's story would be best told by people that love the source material, not a bunch of pundits that wanna go back to bullying nerds, like they did 30 years ago.
Doctor Doom:
better engineer, significantly more intelligent....wealthier with much better armor than Tony Stark.
Knows more about biological sciences and significantly more intelligent than Bruce Banner.....and physically more powerful than Hulk.
more powerful magic than Dr Strange or Scarlett Witch.
More powerful than Thanos or Odin.
Almost as intelligent as Bruce Wayne.
EDIT: forgot to mention. Doom is so much more powerful than Gandalf, Dumbledore and Merlin that I only mention them out of nostalgia.

You forgot to mention how Latvarians genuinely adore him because while they have 0 civil liberties, they also don't want for anything. There's food, medicine, no crime, no slavery, etc. No one also dares attack Latveria, despite several aggressive neighboring countries because, well, you'd have to be suicidal to attempt it.

Yeah just refer the average consumer to his wikipedia page. They won't last two minutes. Doom has around 60 years of character development. Even condensing that while doing it justice exceeds the amount of time people want to invest.
I am so happu Dr. Doom didn't appear in black panther 2 that was such a Sh&^^% movie. Dr. Doom is my favorite villain in any comic book. I hope that Marvel movies gets him right.

I might not be alive to see doom well adapted, but comon with this era of diversity and woke culture, I DON’T UNDERSTAND THIS IS IT, they have romanian life not well known in movie industry, a real human characters with demons but also some kind of stoical compassion.. i don’t understand i don’t care about kang sorry even tho i quite like the representation in mcu right now. They made Doom too powerful. He's no longer interesting.
When did he fall off? I always have enjoyed the dynamic he has of being an over powered human. He succeeds but then realizes "ahhh not quite what I wanted" or "there is someone better suited for the task" or "ahhh not interested" as powerful as he is he is always still human and that is fun.
