Yes about MAP sensors getting really sooted up. I found out hte hard way, was running rough, 109k miles, never checked and noticed it was packed full of soot.
How did you clean it or did you replace it?
4th gen cummins here. Whats your thought on cleaning the egr valve and cooler or not, if so at what mileage.
Are you waiting for a code to pop up to change the Map or Maf sensor? Or would you do at a certain interval?
You can get you a can of MAF cleaner, and clean it periodically. I clean mine once a year or every 10k miles or so
