The lesson I get out of all my Star Wars knowledge: leaning too far into the Light or the Dark Sides of the Force is catastrophic. Let the Force flow through you in all of its forms and learn emotional maturity. You'll probably end up better off than many who came before.
Yes!!! Best comment on here and there are some good ones. It’s a well balanced thought and theory. ✨☝🏽
This is the way.
This is the way.
The later teachings of Revan who was Jedi and sith and could never embrace either side fully. Had Revan never gone after Darth Vitiate, he could have come to a far greater of the force as a whole than any force user of his time and create a new order that balances both sides of the force.
That’s more the Yin Yang way of balance while Judeo-Christian point of view see evil/the dark side as the imbalance (like the original George Lucas point of view of the force).
@@flamingseagull8678 this is the way
To master the force one must be the tornado. Be the cold wind and one will freeze, be the hot wind and one will burn. Be both and one will be the storm.
perfectly put
Did you come up with this yourself or is this a quote??? Either way it's amazing
I gave you my only Like now you have 100 Likes, what do I get?
@@LordEmperorHyperion when you look into the dark night, ask does light corrupt the order that is darkness?
This is exactly why I will always lean towards the concept of being a grey jedi sentinel and a bendu je'daii for they were wayless rigid than the counselor and guardian orders of the jedi and the same can be said about the grey Paladin order; plus the grey jedi code and the je'daii code are way better than the jedi and sith codes because they offers true balance!💯😉😁👍
I suspect that it's far more complicated then you make it out to be. The Sister and the Brother didn't just embody the two extremes of the Force. They embody what inevitably happens when said extremes attain considerable power. And/or experience great frustration and/or failure or success.
I think the Daughter and the Son actually go a bit deeper than that, since why is the Son "the Dark side" and yet his narrative journey is him "falling to the Dark side"? I think it is more ponient to perhaps say that the Daughter and the Son embody the emotions and life experiences that make up and feed into the Light and Dark sides of the Force. They themselves being primordial entities, who in turn shape and are shaped by their domain. Neither genuinely good nor evil, just are.
@@darkinnovator2479
Exactly my point.
I'm just as guilty of oversimplifying these things. And you've honestly given a far better description then I did.
@@darkinnovator2479
Exactly. The Son fell to the Dark Side, he wasn't a master of it.
@@libertariandragon9142
Yep, thank you for stating this.
The Son and Daughter aren't the Dark and Light Side of the force, just the aspects of the Force one would usually assume leads to one or the other.
The Son "fell to the Dark". How? Cause he was never a master of the Dark Side in the first place.
Being on the defensive all the time means that failure is an inevitability. An Attacker only needs to succeed once.
My theory is that these organizations fail is because they don't really have any means to keep them in check and so they are doomed to fall. After all during the time of the Old Republic when the Jedi and Sith were constantly clashing with each other, they ended up needing each other to keep the other in check. But once the Sith removed themselves from the board the Jedi over time became complacent and lazy that by the time the Sith let themselves be known to the Jedi the Jedi had destroyed themselves.
It's just Disney pulling more bullshit outta their ass cause they don't care about the Jedi they favor the stupid dumb Mandalorians instead of the Jedi who actually helped people unlike the stupid Mandos who fought each other over some dumb black lightsaber.
Not exactly. The Ruusan Reformation and their Dogma ruined them, but the "need" for Sith isn't true.
Sure, they'd have life easier without the Sith, but keeping Sith all around for the sake of keeping Jedi "on their toes" is a faulty endeavor.
@@thalmoragent9344 What i mean is the jedi order when the clone wars started was the jedi order of a thousand years ago and while they changed they changed for the worse. Because they had no challenge for them to really improve themselves and no one to really smack some seance into them when they screwed up.
Finally a video on the Zeffo. They were very interesting in Fallen Order.
Extremism is the problem, for both sides.
Emotions AND Rationality are part of our nature. Yet, taken to the extreme, BOTH lead to bad outcomes.
Moderation is the key, IMO.
Many thanks for your consistent work ethic and keeping the great SW topics alive.
This is the way.
✨🎯✨
This is the way
The problem doesn't lie in the Force I think but in the nature of sentient mind.
You can not deny your emotions forever, and you can not make decision only by following them either.
The first leads to frustration and the concealed emotions creeping in on your rational thinking without you realizing (hence the arrogance of the lightsiders), the second in shortsightedness, acting on a whim, regret and then isolation and self-hate.
Balance is always the best course of action. In all things.
This is why I believe that you have to have both like AND dark in you. In order to have balance, one cannot be on one of the sides.
I think you should lean harder into the light but also understand that you have a dark side. The light has compassion and empathy which is needed but you can also become self righteous. The dark has hatred which is negative but this also forms the basis of understanding others. In order to be compassionate but not self-righteous you need to recognize your own shortcomings, your own dark side.
@@cultmecca fair enough. It is better for the soul to side with the light :)
@@derrickdinwiddie8759 yeah, I think the mistake people make with balance in Star Wars is that you need 50% light and 50% dark. I'd say it's probably more like 90-10. If a real person exhibited light tendencies 50% or the time a dark ones 50% of the time, you wouldn't think that person was cool, you'd think they were a dick. Our mind weights negative experiences way more heavily than positive ones. Thats why you can be having a pretty good day and then one bad things happens and it ruins it. It takes usually 10 good things to outweigh one bad thing thats why I say balance probably looks more like 90-10 than 50-50
@@cultmecca interesting perspective. I'd say it might be closer to 80-20, but that does make sense :)
@@derrickdinwiddie8759 yeah anywhere in the range of 80-20 to 90-10 is probably where it is
The zeffo are one of my favorite species in star wars looking forward to know more about in future of star wars
Man love this history glad i found ur chanel
I think we finally discovered sum of the true roots of why the Jedi Order were always doomed to fail its no wonder why the order from the Prequels were so stoic and honestly i do agree with this theory it shows how the Jedi had lost their way for many centuries and why so many Jedi turned to the dark side great examples of this is Anakin and Dooku and the part you said abt “Overcaution” that sounds like Yoda who waited too long to do anything abt Order 66 until it was too late
And this is part of the reason why I like the idea of being a Grey Jedi. So that you don't fall to far in one direction or another. Your balanced as a Grey Jedi.
I prefer being the sith, I can do anything I want as long as it doesn’t go against my morals
Mixing poison with water doesn't make the water healthier. Mixing light side and dark side beliefs to create a more "balanced" worldview only results in a double-minded philosophy that is bound to contradict itself. Case in point, Vergere. She ended up creating another Dark Lord due to her "more balanced" worldview.
@@TheKingOfSnakes5302he downside of being a sith is that you would become a powerhungry, egotistical megalomaniac who is enslaving people and killing them for lolz
The problem with gray Jedi is there's just many ways and interpretations of it. some gray Jedi were good, and some were even cowards to some extent. Not all Grey Jedi was balanced. In some way it's not easy being balanced. My interpretation comes from the Knights of the old Republic games.
@@77wolfblade---And as a Grey Jedi. I would prefer to be just like Qui-Gon Jinn. He's the ultimate Grey Jedi IMO.
One can't be all dark or all light. Balance is needed.
THE Light loses because of pacifism, the Dark loses because of infighting. That's why I'd be Grey.
Good choice
I come down to complainsism
The living force will always seek balance.
The light side, wonder too close and you'll be stagnant, forever in stasis.
Drink of the cup that is the Dark side, one becomes destructive and self assures their own demise.
My thoughts on yours are different
The Light side wander to close and you become Stagnant and become a force for Stagnation always in Stasis and becoming the Stasis itself Abhorring change in all its forms. Think hating War. Loving the Peaceful Order
The Dark side wander to close and you become Evolved and become a force for Evolution always in Change and becoming the Change itself. Abhorring Stasis in all its forms. Think hating the boring Peace. Loving the Exciting Chaos
I study psychology and philosophy very in-depth and have several degrees. What I love about Star Wars to just this. The fight between our higher emotions (duty, compassion, peace) and our lower emotions (anger, sadness, guilt). What you said in the video is truly right. The Jedi only care about the higher or lighter emotions to be of service to themselves, others and the world around them. While this is noble, it doesn’t encompass the whole human experience and can cut ourselves off from authenticity. What I love about the new obi wan show was the moment in the duel with Vader where he was about to die under a pile of rocks. His memories fixed to the past with anakin and his failures but shifted to Luke and Leia and how he wasn’t going to fail them either. This sadness fueled passion to do better and we saw a really powerful side of him come up. I think our negative emotions (anger, sadness) can teach us and show us some deep lessons about ourselves. The Jedi aren’t able to understand them because they don’t allow themselves to feel those emotions. But they are always there and not going anywhere. Rather then shut them down, learn from them and engage with them when the time is right.
One can be blinded in two ways. Light that shines to brightly, you fail to see anything else and Darkness that shrouds and clouds your vision in complete blackness.
It’s all about balance. The je’daii learned this which is why they were able to use the Light and Dark sides of the force, because the Force is the Force neither Light or Dark. It is how the individual chooses to used the Force that makes it Light or Dark, it’s the individual’s own heart and how they choose to use the Force, or not use the Force. That is why the Jedi Order fell to the Dark side and why the Empire only lasted 20-30 years. Neither side was looking for balance, they were looking to eradicate each other, but as we have seen when one side is dominant over the other Rebellions always start.
The j'dai also had a major flaw in that they sought a 50/50 balance when such this is not possible because the dark side weighs more so yes there could be balance but that does not mean half n half which was what the j'dai were trying to do
And all this time, I thought it was because the Dark Side has cookies. At least that’s what everyone says…
I've been watching your videos for awhile, and I got to say you kill it every time! Fantastic watch before I clock in! May the Force be with you, Master.
So we all might as well give in to the dark side 'cause it's inevitable!?!?! I REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT!!!
That's not what he's saying
@@jacobsheehan5775 Good.
The Light Side itself won’t always fail, just the Jedi as it was by time of Clone Wars
The Jedi became stagnant, too unchanging to tradition, unattached to the people it’s supposed to protect, too subservient to the political power commanding it, that it’s set up to fail
Luke’s Jedi Order In Legends was perfect
It didn’t blindly follow the New Republic and later the Galactic Alliance, their aide was voluntarily and would help or refuse at their discretion, especially when the government became corrupt
They allowed passion, relationships, and remained close to the people they supposed to protect
They were open to change and adaptive to the times
It was an example how a Light Side order should be, at least so far barely touched in Canon
I wonder if we'll hear of a Zeffo vs Rakata war.
That would be really interesting to find out about!
@@Gryphon2026 Especially since, thanks to Andor, Rakata was fully canonized.
The sith and the jedi need each other, ironically. They remind each other of their flaws and show other ways to use the force. I personally think, for each jedi they need a sith partner of a sort. Both would work together to keep each other balanced. A symbiotic relationship of a sorts. And with two different ways of force users, neither side gets too powerful or too complacent.
There's so much a jedi is able to do, but there are things they can't do that a sith can. Also, if the will of the force is the most important thing, than the force has a reason to give power to sith too.
But that's just what I gather. 😊
So what’s the fate of grey Jedi on average???
Evil will always triumph, because Good is DUMB! - Dark Helmet, Space Balls
I completely agree. We need balance. Both light and dark. Exploration, experience. That's what important. You need to learn bad to be good. We will be wise. May the Force be with you too
Both sides will always fail since existence isn't a good vs evil dichotomy. It is a balance of positive, negative and neutral energies.
Overspecialization breeds in weakness.
Trying to unbalance life into what one party calls good is an evil act in the eyes of another and vice versa. Good and evil are subjective terms
So with the Zeffo basically equals "history repeating" SW style
That's why you use both aspects of the force but remain balance between the two
I think the question that must ultimately be asked is. What is balance? If the Darkseid always corrupts and the light is too rigid. How does an organization find balance.
I think the expanded universe makes this argument far better than the DSWC lore
Disney almost got rid of the term.
From years of experience with meditation, to begin to have control over energy flows through the body takes dedication and constant regular practice, however, dogma is not needed. Philosophy is required to visualize and understand parana, karma and balance which allow for growth. If practice isn't maintained then growth stops and energy force recedes, much like how Obi-wan is depicted and why I love that series. This may be why rigid dogma is seized upon, to cover up for loss of growth and practice but still maintain standing in a hierarchy. The strongest jedi understand the philosophy their minds are capable of perceiving to allow them to grow and harmonize with the force while at the same time not taking themselves to seriously to allow themselves to appreciate life and have empathy for the plight of others less balanced. Dogma is clinging to the past repetition of knowledge that hides dryness of the way, true wisdom, understanding and empathy. When those things are practiced balance is attained, dogma is not necessary and the way is clear.
Kreia got it right. The Force itself plays too much with mortals, and we'd be better off without metaphysical superpowers.
how do jedi get the power from the light side in the first place why go for the light if the dark side is easier makes sith on average more powerful than jedi how do jedi defeat sith if sith have more power than jedi
The Jedi always preach balance but true balance is an equal amount of light and darkness. That's why Luke was able to defeat Abaloth the most powerful Darkside being in all of Star Wars with his son which the Jedi prohibited. Luke used both that's why he's the man and not a wimpy hermit like the awful Disney trilogy made him out to be. That why the sequels are so hated real fans know what happened after ROTJ.
It happened with all three types of force wielders. The pattern is clear, like you said.
IMO, the dark side offer the full extent of the force power by making the force to do whatever the wielders wants, while the light side off the full extent of the force wisdom by offering its wielders vision that could help them overcome their problem. Power is nothing without wisdom to guide it and wisdom is nothing without the power ro act on it, so when learning about the force it is crucial for its wielder to understand both light and dark so that they dont fail like those that came before them.
Spot on. Too much good or bad will both destroy a society. Balance in the individual first before that balance can be sort in a society. Being too quick to action(Sith) and being late to action(jedi) again will both destroy a society. Balance of 85/15% Jedi/Sith is the key.
The lack of balance is key. Its the same thing in real life when you think of the Earth. We must always stay within the “goldilocks zone” or ruin strikes
Great another channel putting adds in there video like we don’t get enough of this I miss old RUclips also hate that I thought this was a longer vid only you filled it with ads
When you defend yourself from evil long enough, you become blind to the evil within yourself.
The fatal flaw of the Jedi is ironically the same as the fatal flaw of the Sith. Both sides believe one side can exist without the other. The Jedi preach balance but don't practice it. Balancing the Force means having both Light and Dark, not either or. This is why I believe Grey Jedi to be the true masters of The Force. Someone who is in between and understands both sides.
The Yin/Yang, Buddha's Middle Path usually works well for individuals like Ahsoka Tano, not for a large organization. You will always find those who will embrace the dark or light side and stray from the middle path.
It's really just checks and balances that both sides lack. If you go too far into the light, you'll eventually find darkness, but delve too far in the dark, you'll lose sight of everything. You need to have a foothold in both, a strong will and an open mind to be truly balanced. At least that's my take on it
The laws of physics state that entropy (randomness/chaos) only increases over time. The Light side of the force is about order. The growth, decay, destruction cycle is natural. To me that is the answer to the question you posed.
So if the jedi will always fail and the sith will always fail would the only true way be to simply destroy the force and destroy force sensitives.
Such is the path of Kreia. To banish the Force and its Will from the galaxy and free all living beings from it.
To become completely light side you have to be very self-sacrificing, compassionate, dutiful, and be sympathetic/empathetic to everyone around you. The flaw in this is that your own need gets pushed to the back burner and you never get the true gratification (or gratitude) of the service you provide nor others will have an intrest in what and who you are. Your identity is never your own. With the dark side, you revel in your feelings, you go for what you want and your take what you want. You never hold yourself back from anything in your life and if anyone has a problem with it or trys to stop you then they deserve death. The flaw in this is having this hedonistic mentality will destroy everything and everyone around you and also destroying yourself in the process. You will always have enemies, you can never trust anyone, your mental and emotional health would be on life support and the things that truly matter in life will always be out of reach or completely destroyed because of your selfish actions. Your life will never truly have substance only vanity. This is why you can say because of the Jedi's dogmatic beliefs of the force they were literally pushing some to the dark side. They couldn't feel, they always had to put others first and constantly do thankless work. It's when some of the Jedi got a taste of the dark side, THEY WENT NUTS. They can finally feel and not be shamed or ridiculed for it and their power can grow as far as they want it to grow. The Jedi order (in my opinion) were not good at all, THEY WERE COWARDS. They chose not to understand the more deeper more "intense"sides/spectrums of the force to have a more robust connection to the force. No, they decided to suppress certain aspects of it and only cherry pick the qualities of the force THEY deemed as "appropriate". And that's what cost Yoda and the entire Jedi order DEARLY!!!!!!!!
Grey Jedi FTW !
The flaw is NOT EVERYONE DESERVES EMPTANHY/SYMPATHY - some deserve exactly what they get - DEATH.
Edit - wrote the above after reading you first sentence, after reading your entire comment - just wanted to say that I agree with you fully. You hit the nail right on the head with comment.
In the real world there is a history based saying that the flowers of democracy occasionally need to be watered with the blood of tyrants, or they will decay over time. I take it to mean that if everything is nice and good, people will gradually stop appreciating what they have to lose and stop being watchful, which will allow their quality of life to deteriorate. This is why politics in most countries tend to swing in the same predictible ways around both crises and times of prosperity
I have to admit that the Zeffo did always give me some sort of interest I would like to learn more about them and find out how they went extinct and like you know became entrenched in the dark side as they did because I don't think all of them like you jet clearly has proven in this video that they were alike side species you know it feels more dark then at least that's the way it felt in Jedi fallen order
Stare into the light for so long you will go blind eventually. And when finally looking away everything is dark as the damage is done. That's the light side in a nutshell, the extreme side of it. You want to bask in the warmth of the light and look up to it, but after a while you will get burned by it. And while in that warmth for so long, that shade is going to be very cold and you'll want to shun away from it. Over tempting and you'll want to spend more time under it to get out of the light for a bit, and not be wanting to go back out into it if you don't have to. That's the dark side in the simplest way I can put it.
only way a force sensitive nation survives is to tap on both side of the force i guess. passion, love and anger are as strong as mesure and calm in certain situations. a gray jedi school should work!
If the Force wasn’t a thing I’d agree… But it is. The Force always balances itself, clearly dislikes the Dark Side, and fun fact… The Light Side ultimately wins equally as many times as the Dark Side.
Sorry, this is sort of a silly topic >.>
I really hope we get more Zeffo in “Star Wars Jedi: Knight Of Tanalore”
When you reach the highest and brightest place of the light you are blinded and and fall into darkness.
The main reason I like Kreia as a character is her origins and motivations, in most religions the focus of the religion is said to be pure and irreproachable, she started her path on the dark side by abhorring what people call destiny, regardless of the intentions or origins of said destiny, most religions that focus on the force end up exalting the idea of serving the force or coexisting with it in perfect harmony to a point that sometimes becomes fanatically biased towards what they perceive to be the light side, I think they indeed were doomed to fail because of that fanatism since the very same teachings of the Jedi order say that fear leads to the dark side, yet they intentionally seal off everything related to it, in fear of corruption. It is very much like the daughter's behavior just like the video describes. This ends up happening to the dark side practitioners too however, even at the height of Vitiate's empire* the sith never really stopped destroying themselves by excessive infighting, it just became less crippling.
*which in my opinion is a prosperous empire _by sith standards_
The brightest light casts the longest shadow. That seems to be the case here.
What about the Gray Jedi? Does this mean they have the right take on the force?
Depends how you view balance
Because many if not all of them lack the will to do all that is necessary as Ra's al Ghul from Batman Begins once said.
You cannot have light without darkness. Or, the brighter the light shines, the deeper the shadows cast.
Light can not exist without shadow, the legacy of Bionicle. On must have the two in balance or try to stay on a path lit by light within shadow
i agree with you i think the dark side in the jedi should explored in modaration to balacen out the light and the
dark side should be done under supervition of a master trusted by the council
I just realized something. The Zeffo species looks very similar to the invading aliens from the Independence Day movies. Notice the unique shape of their head. Does it look familiar? Perhaps the Zeffo have been to earth. As have E.T's people. So have Wookiees. Bigfoot looks like a Wookiee from Kashyyyk.
I agree but for different reasons another common thread is that most orders eventually are left unchallenged and unaccountable. This breeds a holier than thou attitude as well as arrogance, complacency and in the most extreme cases near god complexes.
You can break this down to if you give one power they let it go to their head and they will lust for more power
The Jedi Order lasted for over 1000 generations, serving the Republic. They existed in Balance, though leaning toward the Light. Not until the Sith re-emerged--and began actively undermining them from the shadows--did they move away from Balance and become so dogmatic that it led to their fall. Extremist attacks tend to lead to extreme reactions and the Light and Dark side are not exceptions to this. It is probable the Jedi Order would have continued for another thousand generations if the Sith had not actively disrupted the galaxy at large and clouded the Living Force with their influence. That said, The Force is intended to be Balanced--neither Ashla nor Bogan taking precedence. The Je'daii provide this lesson in Legends. Restricting studies as "too dangerous" rather than guiding them with patience seems to always result in schism inducing behavior; some being always craves power and takes short cuts without understanding and often in secret--disrupting the balance. Even balanced systems can be fragile and subject to collapse when exposed to extremism, whether from within or without.
the light and dark sides have the same problem, albeit in different ways. when the light becomes too bright, or the darkness too deep, they blind and obscure one's perception. two sides of the same coin, inverse in their character but ultimately having the same failings.
Wave ya gotta add some Asoka merch
Balanced organizations like the Je'daii were also destroyed though. I think there is only one conclusion. Kreia was right. The Force is bad
There seems to be SOME need for a discipline in the force.
The force feeds off emotion and amplifies it, and negative emotions are easier to inflame than positive ones. Most supporters of the dark side seem to fail to realize the horrors you have to commit to gain your power and amplify your force. There are many such episodes like when Darth Bane killed an innocent family, murdering children and then tormenting the last living parent with his childs life hanging in the balance, before killing them both, just so he could have healing powers. You who think you'd make a great Sith, imagine slicing a kid open and then taunting a parent who is helpless to act.
F that. That is, if you are anything but psychotic.
The dark side truly does consume almost all but THE most powerful Sith.
If anything, the Jedi were too naïve in giving up the search for Sith, and relegating themselves to an arm of the republic, while like many religious orders of our own time, denying normal human needs that broke many in an unhealthy way, leading to that very emotional amplification I just spoke about. It was an imperfect order, and one they never bothered to improve upon. Not to mention the Force ebbs and flows between who is dominant, and who is not. We should not forget the Sith were relegated to 1000 years of having to hide and manipulate from the shadows to only gain 20yrs of power and another purge the jedi yet again survived.
The flow and ebb of the force and its users are always in flux. And in fact, they should be.
So yes, the Jedi always fail. But we see time and again at the penultimate moment, so do the Sith. But WOW in their older days they had nearly gods like Vitiate, Revan, and more.

It's not that the light side will always fail. It's that the cosmic force requires Balance. So when one side is too powerful for too long it will create so one on the opposite side to balance the scales. It's happened consistently throughout the star wars universe. "The chosen one" is not a single person. In legends, the sith also had a similar prophecy. It's a person born with the potential to balance the scales for whatever side is waning. The failing of the Sith and the Jedi is not going back to the old ways... and teaching the bendu.. the balance of both, thus creating harmony.
Cal Kestis isn't a Jedi he wasn't a Padawan yet.
The force creates struggle. Sentient life stagnates without struggle. The force is guiding life in the galaxy to evolve. Into what is the ultimate question, and this is the chosen ones’ destiny to identify.
Anakin was not the chosen one. He was created by the force to maintain the struggle and the evolution of sentient life. The force can not permit the light or the dark to dominate. This would put an end the its design for the evolution of sentient life.
The chosen one is the force welder that understands what the endgame is, and will unify the light and dark to achieve what the force’s design.
🤷🏼♂️😏🤯
I've always thought the Jedi (much like the sorcerers in the MCU) treated the dark side as forbidden and off limits. Much like children, if your parents or guardians tell you not to do or see something (for good reason or not) it makes it 100x more appealing because it's an unknown quantity. If the jedi taught that the light can not exist without the dark but they both should be measured and not feared it would have not had as many devotees. Sure you're going to have your extremes who will go full hog either way, but the curious will go in with an understanding that this can go badly very quickly if you're not careful
And you wanna know what else this theory also proves Anakin could’ve had the greatest teachers to teach him the true ways of the Force The Father and Qui Gon Jinn which explains why The Father begged Anakin to remain on the planet Mortis and learn balance
I suspect, that reason why Jedi did last so long, is because they roots in balanced organization, even if they abandoned this balance for light, some traditions, way of thinking and dealing with things survived and affect them for long time. Another reason could be Sith. They change them and force them grow and evolve. Deal with complicated problems and make them think. Their existence didn't allowed stagnation. Sith on other hand have common enemy that could unite them, in Jedi. They balanced each other. It isn't so surprising, taken into account, they have same roots. Quite irony.
The light side focuses on principles like selflessness, justice, and self sacrifice. Putting aside their dogmatic extremes, the Jedi seem to be all good. So people won’t readily take action against them because they seem like the good guys.
On the other end, the Sith enforce their will on others, which people generally don’t like.
No epsiode in star wars was more clear about Balanace than the one where Anakin stopped both the Son and Daughter. The scales were put into Balance by Anakin. In the end , neither won....neither lost. Just balance.
@The_Stupendous_Wave Where does the footage at 6:00 come from?
Master the Emotions and u will master the light and dark side
The irony.. lightside hatred, of the dark side.. architecture of their own frustration. 🫤
The dark side should be studied, but not used. And what if someone is experiencing anger and hate? Is he allowed to use these emotions to call upon the Force? And this will corrupt him forever. But people are capable for both good and evil. That's why the Light Side must be a choice. But then what will happen to the Dark Side users? Why teach people a way to hurt and torture others, and then destroy them for it? Don't teach them in the first place. Choose the ones who will not fall. But how can you choose? More importantly, who makes the decision? A council of older, wiser Force users maybe. But this way, dogma is inevitable. Perhaps establish a Force users police? Trained anti-Force enforcers to arrest or kill the dangerous ones.
Whatever you do, the Force is too much power in the hands of very few people. Ban its use, and you risk to be at the mercy of the few who will inevitably study it. Allow the study and use of the Dark Side, and you are brewing a devastating storm.
In the end it's just a neverending circle. The balance is an unreachable dream. But the same could be told about life.
It's hard to see in the dark, but it's harder when the light blinds you
That is a very good quote. very impressed well done.
I had a similar train of thought. Yeah, we like to be surrounded by the light but there are times where there is so much light you need the darkness to see
Too much light makes someone blind and what's left is only the darkness.
The light side of the Force is destined to triumph eventhough arrogance and dogmatism are problems to be solved.
The dark side, on the other hand, is always destined to fail.
So, the best way to be is balanced in the force. There is a character that typifies this, contrasting with his children who represent solely the light and dark demonstrating the flaws of choosing either side. Yet, there cannot be gray jedi or anything like that because you have to choose one side or the other no matter what because the force is not a neutral element of the universe to be used how people choose like everything else that exists. The force has consciousness and good or evil sides with a black and white written in stone border between them so you have to choose sides and all "grey" jedi will inevitably become evil. Be balanced, but you can't be balanced, but it is better to be balanced, but you have to choose a side, but it is best to be balanced, but you will inevitably have to choose a side and go out of balance. It is suprising that not all force users just become stunted sociopaths.
The Jedi are not willing to do what is neccesary to stop the Sith, the Sith are not willing to be peacefull enough to make a lasting empire.... The Gray is the way.
How do I buy it
Short Answer: Disney. Long Answer: Because no one knows how Star Wars works other then Lucas.
What holiday season?
The Jedi are so underrated these days.
Reminds me of how Chaos will always ultimately win in Warhammer, be it Fantasy or 40K.
Personally, I prefer balance in the Force, exactly the same as the ancient Jed dai order and Revan.
Luke Skywalker's New Jedi Order had the right idea. in the Expanded Universe, the New Jedi Order was more liberal and sought to correct the shortcomings of the Prequel era Jedi Order. that was in the EU. in Disney canon, i hear Luke saying concerning things that tells me his teachings are slowly reverting back to the old doctrine.
too much darkness and you cant see, too much light and you go blind.
