    When he found who Ashoka's master was he feared her. We know he's wary of Ezra. But Luke is a whole different story. Not only is he the son of The Chosen One, he likely thinks Ashoka would also have taught Luke, which will make him fear Luke, then there is what people say about 2 Death Stars and the Emperor, and if Luke killed Vader, then he killed his father without any problem, which likely means he is unstable or truly Vader's son, and if Luke and Ezra, two powerful jedi, team up, he's going to be in SERIOUS trouble! And he knows it!!!

      I think the Thrawn in Heir to the Empire is very different than the one we see in the Ahsoka series (canon Thrawn). He'll have a healthy respect for Luke but after fighting beside Anakin and later Vader, encountering the Bendu, and seeing Ezra's capability of taking over a star destroyer no lightsaber necessary and summoning a fleet of space whales to destroy Thrawn's entire fleet - Thrawn has a healthy respect for Force wielders but he's not scared of them, he works with them (the Night Mothers and Vader).
      Naw Thrawn will do what he always does and research the hell out of all the battles he missed and say: yup, knew the Death Star was a bad idea. Thank you Ezra, I might've been on one of those things! And Luke killed both the Emperor and Vader... Luke killed the Emperor and his father (because Thrawn knew Vader's true identity). Hah, yeah sure. Because the New Republic would never twist the truth to make certain the name Skywalker never gets associated with the name Vader. That I think would be Thrawn's reaction, and then he would do what Thrawn does and recognize that while Skywalker and Bridger are both dangerous, the dangers lurking in the Unknown Region continue to be the greater threat and the New Republic's bureaucratic nightmare will spell destruction for them all unless something happens.
      That should be what Thrawn's interpretation of events are.

    I think he knows who Luke is. When he found out that Ahsoka was Anakin’s padawan, he paused and asked if she was indeed the only Jedi approaching. He may have figured they had met and possibly formed a connection.

    • @theactionman007
      @theactionman007 11 месяцев назад +2

      Depends on who all knows about Luke and the extent of his involvement. Thrawn was likely brought information by Morgan Elsbeth but the extent of the data she brought with her is unknown. Also, the audience knows Luke and Ahsoka have met but the rest of the characters might not know that.

      You think? I was more of the opinion that Luke knew about Gideon, but realized other people would take him down, he was more concerned with Grogu due to the fact he was of Yoda's people and so rarely powerful. When Luke saw the Dark Troopers he knew the crew there couldn't take them, so intervened, but he also new Mando could take Gideon by himself. What do you think of that theory?

    Everyone always underestimates the Skywalkers from Anakin to Luke to Kol and Cade. You would think that they would learn. Giddeon had it right. For him knowing that it was indeed Luke, the fear in his eyes was visceral. That wasn't just fear, that was pure, unadulterated terror!! So much so that he was willing to do himself in before he would have to stand before Luke's justice. But in the end, Luke didn't even express any interest in Giddeon. So it seems that Giddeon was privy to the story of Luke on DS2, and he was terrified!

    I think we will see Luke come up in the fight against Thrawn, my reason being; Thrawn is smart, when he hears how the Emperor and Vader died (if he hasn’t already) by a Jedi, and that Jedi having the name Skywalker, he will most definitely see Luke as a threat and that his new Empire won’t survive with Luke around. Therefore he will probably send someone he trusts to kill Luke, forcing Luke to get involved and help take down Thrawn. I don’t think Luke will be the focus but he definitely will play a big role

A number in Jedi fallen order there was that dark Jedi that was on dathomir called Taron Malicos. If he's there when Thrawn arrives he might be Thrawns Jorus C'baoth. And then Enoch is obviously the replacement for Rukh. Then we know Captain Palleon is still around as we saw him and Mando season 3.

    The problem with writing a 'genius' character is that they have to behave as such, the writing for Thrawn is full of obvious plot holes e.g. Morgan Elspeth was a loyal underling who was of genius level herself to find a way to bring him back and yet what does he do? Tell them to sacrifice themselves to delay a jedi. He had zombie stormtroopers for that. Would his genius level final plan be easier to achieve with her or without her? The answer is obvious so why sacrifice her needlessly?

    • @wilfredmack3665
      @wilfredmack3665 11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes I agree ,once again they are about to ruin a great character but I cannot blame the writers because they're only working with what Disney is providing which makes no sense. They have portrayed Thrown as an officer who hates the rebellion when this isn't true , he has chosen the empire over the Alliance because he decided they would be better equipped to ward off the coming threat of the yusef vong. I hope Disney is smart enough to incorporate Timothy Zahn's genius tale and not make the mistake. they made by omitting Leia's , Hans and Luke's children. I believe that they are going to ruin the character by not delving into Thrawn's total psyche which we know they will not do...

    Not only that Luke is the son of Anakin Skywalker, but what do you think Thrawn's reaction will be if he learns that Luke studied under General Obi-Wan Kenobi? During the Clone Wars, General Kenobi was called "The Negotiator" not because of his skills at diplomacy, but because Kenobi had such a reputation that if Separatists leaders got intel that Kenobi was in the battle theatre, they'd often just surrender before another shot was fired.

  • @OllamhDrab

    I think it's kind of the tragedy of Thrawn that for such a brilliantly-detached mind and engaged attention in the right sorts of ways for a military commander, (and even without wasting promising talent among the Imp officer corps,) the biggest talent he wasted was *himself.* I mean, here's a guy that survived even Imperial bigotry by both extraordinary circumstances and making himself indispensable. Here he's being set up, not as a guy even getting to be an alien in the Navy because the Emperor thought him loyal, but thinking the remnants of the Empire are somehow the best hope for order and peace in the galaxy, when really he could be just the guy to make the New Republic militarily effective, probably with less, while also keeping that miliary out of civilians' faces. (And he could probably just kinda purr at some of the hapless Remnant Moffs with ...his leadership skills and rep to get them to *stand down with what they got* if not actually join up. )
    I mean, I know to the extent he was heard of, he mighta done some war crimes or been associated with them, so maybe no one wants to hand him a fleet, but as for his personal agenda under the circumstances, you gotta wonder why he seems to think rying to go through every blaster and turbolaser in the 'known galaxy' would be the best way to achieve them. (Obviously we love a smart villain like him but it's kinda tragic anyway. He's fixed ineffective forces to some degree before.

      Because at the end of the day he serves the Chiss first and foremost. He served the empire for the Chiss Ascendancy's benefit. He sees the republic as weak and disorganized. The Empire was largely disorganized but he could carve his own niche out. The republic is arrogant and ineffective, and the reason the empire was able to rise in the first place was because the old galactic senate was corrupt, much of that came back with the post-empire republic right away. Which was why the first order was able to take them by surprise.

Specifically the introduction of "Kintsugi" mending broken armour to Star Wars. I don't think Kylo Ren should have used the mask again, it felt blatantly like a ploy to sell movie exclusive merch but how it was done in Ahsoka served the narrative, the concept worked in Ahsoka where it seemed shoe horned in for marketing in the movie.

    I don't think Luke would care about Thrawn and galactic politics. In my mind, he's very content to chill out in some remote system and to rebuild the Jedi order in peace. After a new hope, he only ever fought the empire out of necessity. His focus was on his Jedi training and then on his father. Even in battlefront 2, he only ever came into contact with the empire because he was looking for an artifact in an imperial vault. In my opinion, Thrawn would have to go out of his way to pull Luke into the conflict.

Since they've quite possibly heard OF each other but haven't even to our knowledge had hardly even indirect dealing with each other much less met. Both like to see for themselves when it matters MOST. An all they need to demonstrate an make clear they both value peace an order to open possibilities for possible negotiations an perhaps some kinda peace somewhere down the line. Though highly doubt anything along a truce or alliance will be seen UNLESS we see something on the order of a Vong or brand, brand new Sith conflict errupt in all the ways that neither of them like enough to spur actions from either or both against it.. in which case being whom they are we'd see some kinda arc where they both basically tell each other to keep outta the way, etc an so on.. but that's probably a bit too much expectations from current Disney too

    Unless they recast him no Luke, gotta be a rematch Thrawn v Ezra. I haven't seen a deep fake show or movie that at some point wasn't cringe, plus the expense no way cheap as Disney will pay the writers more then approve deep fake

    If luke does show up in someway or another face to face against Thrawn than Thrawn better have some ways to counter luke connection to the force or hes screwed also it eould be cool if luke somehow ends up in The World between Worlds talking to Anakin learning more skills for i bet Anakin in the Ahsoka series may of already sensed a dark presence popping in the galaxy

    Thrawn would be wary of Luke. But he wouldn‘t formulate strategies regarding him based on heresay alone. He would gather information, try to understand Luke and then decide whether he is a threat and how he should be dealt with. That approach preserves the best thing about the character: the fact that he manages to be an antagonist without being outright evil.
    Novel Thrawn would take his time to assess the state the galaxy is in and I would take it for granted that he‘ll conclude rebuilding the empire as it was is the best course of action.

I’m sure he’s familiar with who was the one who blew up the first Death Star and while not everyone knows, he’s also the only guy on that second Death Star who walked into a room with Vader and Palpatine in there and was the only one to escape that room alive.

    Did the battle of Jakku happened already? I know that Jakku was like the Empire's last stand, but I taught it was in the sense it was the finally defeated after which whatever remnant remaining fled to the unknown regions to later come back as the First Order. And I imagined that would be what we would see in the Filoni's wrap-up movie of the mando-verse. But by your wording I take it as if the battle o Jakkun may have already taken place some time before the start of the events of Mando's season 1.

      Yes, it did already happen. It's listed as happening in 5 ABY and Thrawn was defeated in 0BBY and the Ahsoka show takes place in around 11 ABY.

    While luke will likely appear in canon during this time, i honestly dont think they're gonna do thr rivarly thing they did in legends, mostly because feloni has always viewed things just a tiny bit differently than the old continuity. Which is fine.
    But still, my point stands.
    Luke will probably more of appear as the scariest thing thrawn has had to fight ever. And I do mean ever.
    But i doubt he'll take the main stage, this is a story about ashoka and her associates, not luke skywalker, as much as literally anyone who liked starwars before disney stole it would like it to be.

    • @michaelkarl783

      My theory is luke will be presented with a bigger problem than thrown. Likely more to do with the father statue we seen with baylon in ahsoka. Abeloth? Some other entity ? I’m not sure. Possibly the night sisters. But in any case. I think thrawn will most definitely be dealt with by ahsoka Ezra and Sabine. Possibly grogu and mando will help Luke?
