I can also confirm that the ramming is to a minimum. I have done about 15 online races and all of them were free of rammers. A bit of harmless door banging but pretty clean. Loving the new Forza and its online format.
my qualifying series race on Hakone i had a guy T-bone me after the long straight into the right-hander after being a clean half a second up the road from the guy, and it was me that got a 2.3s penalty which i'm sure made my safety rating go from an S to an A ....despite having two other clean non penalty races...
@@richardbroad2848 the safety system eventually catches them out and the cleaner drivers get matchmade against each other, think of it as safety and skill divisions by rank :)
@@richardbroad2848 they just pick up a penalty. That’s really it. Not much you can do about it but it’s basically the same punishment as in GT7 except there isn’t a line to serve the penalty. It just gets added to your race time at the end, which I’m ok with.
If I had known you were driving for the Chinese factory workers, I would have given you the podium 😢 Good racing and seeing you back on FM, hopefully see you online soon Ninja 😊
@Super_GT Can you try driving with a wheel again? RUclipsrs like Jardier, GamerMuscle, and Random Callsign think the physics are quite good. You just need to fix the horrendous default ffb settings. It's the same for the GT3 cars, the default tune is horrible, which is why people were sliding all over the place, but with the correct tune, you will not slide and even reach the real lap times of GT3 cars.
@tomdooley307 Pretty much just increasing the aero. However, there's more to be done if you want to be fast since setups are allowed in multiplayer, and you have to adjust them per track.
I think the safety rating is huge in finding cleaner races. Maybe after a few weeks do some races on an alt to see what the lower rated lobbies are like?
It’s actually really easy to get an S rating so I’m not sure how much difference it’ll be. I’ve seen lots of people on the sub calling for it to be more difficult to hold an S license. Some even claim all it takes is 1 race running at the back with no penalties and you can get into S. That’s not ideal if that’s the case.
Not as long as you can get SR with every assist on so that the car drives itself in the worst case. And remember this is a recording from last week in premium acces. Things have changed already.
Yeah it’s way too easy to get S. Definitely been racing with people who shouldn’t be there. For the most part though it’s pretty clean near the front, but it’s also people who pre ordered the game. Once the game fully releases for free on gamepass I expect it will get dramatically worse. Edit: actually I guess that’s probably today. Haven’t played multiplayer since the 8th.
My experience has been awesome too. S safety at 4964 rating, every race I end up receiving a "GG" message from whoever I was battling with and then we go on about how good of a fight it was, how much we clenched our cheeks, etc. The GTX class has been particularly fun, you still get some carnage there but also some solid drivers and some interesting variations of pit strategies. Definitely the best multiplayer the series has had to date, and I'm really excited to see how the events rotate and how that fares as the online community builds.

Super GT back on Forza. This is where it all started for me. I love to see it. Can’t wait to see you in the Forza GT races. The game has really surprised me with how much better the racing is! The respect and the lack of ramming and the whole tight racing like this has been all that I have been getting in Motosport online. It's been awesome, and easily the best racing in a Forza title online I've had in ages. I love how everything has been so tight and yet calm.

Lovely to see people of all paces racing eachother respectfully. Of course we all want to win but for me, close racing like we see in this vid is what I yearn for in online racing!
I have a safety rating of S and skill score of 4.1k. So far I've hadmostly good races although I've been knocked out a few times and somehow got penalties for it. As such i do think penalties need some work but the experiencehas been good for the most part
online has been so much fun that I've not even touched iracing in about a week - had some amazing door to door races with no contact at all - seen some murders on track ahead of me but I haven't been affected myself
Nah, the most important aspect is the safety rating. I believe in their known issues list they state that matchmaking is still not correctly using safety rating, so that's going to get fixed. As soon as it is, it will be more important to keep fair players together than it is to penalize rammers that don't care anyway.
Bad behavior needs to be punished more harshly, along with better player reporting and penalty review. Nothing ruins a race more than rammers and sore losers sabotaging your run with little consequences.
@@Modmaann did you forget the week of "early access"?!?!?! first impression are important and its absolutely not too quick to judge are you high?!?!, THE GAME IS FULLY RELEASED AND IS £70, plus the 6+ years in development the fact you even said this unironically is utterly pathetic and shows you have such low or non existent standards the game is fully released and had some time in early access, so leave out your disingenuous BS and lack of standards as an excuse, its not valid at all
I was super happy to see you in the super GT movie! I screamed at my friend: Look, it’s super GT! And it happened twice! Been seeing you since like 2016 … greetings from Mexico!
Once you get through the initial multiplayer “qualifying” the races are decent between A and S ratings. I’m so excited as the Turn10 team will keep making improvements to the penalty system.
I just got the game yesterday. I’ve played lots of AC and F1 over the last year after getting into racing games. I’ve gotta say… Forza Motorsport online gameplay is by far the most enjoyable one for me. I got into an incredible battle with a guy who also started from the back of the grid with me. We battled for 5th over like 4 laps, I believe? We had a cool exchange afterwards and friended each other on Xbox to race against one another again. Never had an experience like that on any other racing games/sims.
Yep, just played few rounds and once you driver rating stabilises you can have some great races. It has massive pottential once game itself gets fixed.
Yeah, I've honestly had the best racing experience so far. I love the format, especially with the Touring Cars. 6 of us in a close pack at the front for the whole race last night at Hakone, I didn't win, but it was incredible. Tire and fuel strats really mix everything up.
I've come from a long long history with Gran Turismo and I must say the online racing so far in FM has been very good. I scored a 2nd in my first race and then bottled a win from 1st on the penultimate corner on the last lap in the following race. People drive well and like gentlemen. Love to see it
Steve remembering MSNNINJA is so wholesome. I'm yet to know the honour of pitting my chariot against old friends and rivals from previous GT games as the wiser and faster automotive warriors we are today.
It might thin out the races a bit, but i wish they separated the lobbies into stock and tuneable. But thinking about it that would probably affect the driver rating as well.
I just came across your channel after searching for Forza Motorsport gameplay, and I truly love your color commentary! It makes the experience feel more real, and totally entertaining! You have yourself a new fan!
My experience so far in online is quite positive. Only one rammer and hi have done quite a few races. Most of the people try to race, not just send you to Barry Ar. Sometimes the start of the race is pretty chill and sometimes the middle of the packs turns into chaos. There are some dirty drivers that just force their way through ofcourse, but nothing too alarming. Most of the crashes seem to be people getting to grips with the race and doing mistakes rather than serial killers. We will have to wait and see how it evolves, but so far so good.
All these years after watching you race the mustang in FM4 for the first time, and here I am again watching you finish 6th in Forza. Wouldn't have it any other way.
forza motorsport seems to have a lot of positive people at the higher levels. i’ve never seen so many nice messages on xbox before. ig clean competitive racing brings people together
The event variety & general lack of downtime in this mode is absolutely vital for an online mode, it's so refreshing to play because of that. Just the fact that a race ends and it puts you into a new track(!!) with a race starting only a few minutes away is an absolute game changer for something like this. Playing GT and having a race end and having the next race be 10+ minutes away with it also being the same combo every time is genuinely quite dreary. Having 3 of the same races for a whole week (basically 2 now A is unranked) is really bad for player interest.
This game is amazing online, I definitely recommend doing the GTX races, I've been doing some of them and it's some of the best most balanced racing in the game, alot of fun and surprisingly clean
As someone who rarely jumped into MP on past Forzas, this MP has been quite fun to take part in and not run into any smashes online (Likely being A to S equalling rams aren't as frequent). Top marks for the dude who sent the wholesome nice message on XBL, I salute them. Can't wait for more Forza vids down the line
I've never seen that layout for Laguna Seca, that was really cool. I hope you are doing well Steve, all the best, I'm very happy and proud to see you doing real racing man, so happy for you!
The skill and safety rating does impact how clean the races can be. When I party up with friends and drive the spec series multiplayer events, i notice a little more crashiness than on my own with a 4900+ skill rating. but it's honestly just surreal to play a forza game where everyone is just trying to keep things clean and have some good, hard racing.
As soon as you drop out of S rating it gets pretty crazy. In A I was getting rammed off the course, I can only imagine a lower score. Once I was back in S safety it was very clean racing again
I had one race where one rammer was creating havoc on several players (he finished a short race with already 10s in penalties)… strangely he/she was not ghosted when I lapped it the first time. Actually that lobby was full of not happy people with been overtaken (cleanly). Maybe that was an effect caused by the rammer. But the other races were super clean and respectful.
Just ended a 2 hour online session. And it was a very good session, no ramming, respect to eachother. Except maybe one time someone tried to turn left on a straight after the last turn, but it was at the back of the field so i expected that.

I've played acc for 100s of hours and honestly the racing I've experienced on this game has been cleaner (so far). Ive had some really close races and yes theres been a few strong hits but they never seemed intentional more like people not knowing the tracks cars etc. But so far ive really enjoyed the multiplayer which id never thought id say about a Forza game. Ive been playing the GT series its a huge step up from the previous games , the racing is actually thrilling to play and ive not experiance hardly any rammers as the safety rating system seems to do a great job in matchmaking. Everyone seems to respect eachother which is what was needed. Also playing on the wheel with optimised settings its brillant. Well done to Turn 10
I started last night and I agree it is amazing on multiplayer and it's great with my wheel and pedals, I actually think it's better than ACC for the overall driving feel and experience
I really appreciate the separation of driver grades for finding races. That has been a tremendous upgrade. I would say 90% of my races have been clean. The only real drama happening on rain soaked corners or tight racing to turn one. Other than that, it's been fun to play online.
I've played about 10 online races at this point and have not seen a single deliberate rammer. A couple of accidental pit maneuvers, sure, but that's life
Got rammed off multiple times in all 3 of my "intro to multiplayer" races, got penalties for going off track after being punted into the shadow realm, and am now having a horrendous time trying to escape the low SR lobbies. I'm sure I'll get out eventually but for now the rammers are brutal.

I guess it's good that the purpose of the game is fun, and a fun game means a replayable and supported game.
The children at lynk and co factory deserve a win 😂
I have also been having really clean races. I'm so positively surprised by the multiplayer of this game
Having a blast on multiplayer but the ramming penalties need to be much stricter asap
I really don't think rammers care they're there to ruin your experience
Nah, the most important aspect is the safety rating. I believe in their known issues list they state that matchmaking is still not correctly using safety rating, so that's going to get fixed. As soon as it is, it will be more important to keep fair players together than it is to penalize rammers that don't care anyway.
@@dancovich 💯
Not stricter but more accurate
Bad behavior needs to be punished more harshly, along with better player reporting and penalty review. Nothing ruins a race more than rammers and sore losers sabotaging your run with little consequences.
First game i really like in years. Nice vid. Tnx :)
It made me mad when a lot of people were saying Motorsport was bad during early access, like give the game time to come out man!
it was out, that was the finished product
are you trolling?
you cant be this dense m8
and now its out, its prety bad, especially on PC
@@THEBUGSAREBACCCCKKKKKKKKKKfirst day on PC... Seriously way too quick to judge lol...
@@Modmaann did you forget the week of "early access"?!?!?!
first impression are important and its absolutely not too quick to judge are you high?!?!, THE GAME IS FULLY RELEASED AND IS £70, plus the 6+ years in development
the fact you even said this unironically is utterly pathetic and shows you have such low or non existent standards
the game is fully released and had some time in early access, so leave out your disingenuous BS and lack of standards as an excuse, its not valid at all
I was super happy to see you in the super GT movie! I screamed at my friend: Look, it’s super GT! And it happened twice!
Been seeing you since like 2016 … greetings from Mexico!
while there may be a lot of things still concerning this is one thing to be happy about
Agree. The game clearly has issues but I've found the multiplayer to be fun so far.
I love how it's not just straight gameplay and commentary with things like," passing LLLL U LL U LL".
comment for support bro
Once you get through the initial multiplayer “qualifying” the races are decent between A and S ratings. I’m so excited as the Turn10 team will keep making improvements to the penalty system.
Loving the game, the Multiplayer is a huge improvement.
Amazing game. Imo its a masterpiece. ☮️
I totally agree. career feels a little slow and dragging but the online ranked racing is absolute FIRE
love everything about your channel keep up the great work 🙌 ❤️
I just got the game yesterday.
Thanks for the praise of my driving haha I was the guy who was driving the "ford Focus but was actually a honda civic" behind you, great racing 🤣
Yeah, I've honestly had the best racing experience so far. I love the format, especially with the Touring Cars.
6 of us in a close pack at the front for the whole race last night at Hakone, I didn't win, but it was incredible. Tire and fuel strats really mix everything up.
touring cars have been amazing so far, had the same experience, top 5/6 all clean and close racing - highest I've finished is P4
Right now the only complaints i have with the game are the graphical glitches and the car leveling system.
Everything else i'm loving
Having 3 of the same races for a whole week (basically 2 now A is unranked) is really bad for player interest.
more forza motorsport content please! you're the best to do it!
Ive had two races one was perfect clean hard racing with no issues.. second race was punted into the shadow relm over and over by the same driver
This game is amazing online, I definitely recommend doing the GTX races, I've been doing some of them and it's some of the best most balanced racing in the game, alot of fun and surprisingly clean
How relaxing is your Talking. When you comment your races, i feel Like beeing in some sort of spa.
Ell ell ell ell ewe ell ewe ell ell ell ell
Your driver ranking and safety ranking breaks my heart. I'm a Forza faithful and still a lowly A with 4600 skill. Steve!!!!
Best Forza Content Creator, please don’t stop uploading these!
The thing I don't like is having to wait 20 minutes for the race to start.
So far I’ve only seen good clean races online. It’s been really refreshing.
Loved the commentary. 👍🏻
i recently discovered this channel and now it's impossible for me to actually search and watch the Super GT races in Japan, thanks Super GT 🤣
People have been racing so cleanly! I have been pleasantly surprised.
Just ended a 2 hour online session. And it was a very good session, no ramming, respect to eachother. Except maybe one time someone tried to turn left on a straight after the last turn, but it was at the back of the field so i expected that.
Great video! I waited until the Laguna result board to confirm: the Focus you were ahead was a Civic, just as I thought :)
About Lynk&Co - it's chinese brand that is owned by the same body that owns Volvo. So all of their cars uses Volvo's technology.
Racecars are handled by "Cyan Racing" which is nothing else but rebranded Polestar - so it's based on Volvo cars and developed by swedish racing team that used to run Volvo's in STCC/WTCC.
I typically juat avoid the multiplayer because its usually t1 crash and quit but this game so far has been so fun hope they keep adding content and keep it up. Great video as usual 🤝🏿
ive been racing gt series my fav by far. tunning tweaks to cars are a must just minor changes are resulting seconds of difference in lap times. loving the game so much compared to others. GG
Scott Chegg will find the carnage! can't wait for that one :D
my first FM game, im loving it. Being on PC i've been waiting for a GT competitor... and here it is!
It’s nice to see the crowds getting their moneys worth. There’s so much to enjoy for all the family.
If you can break the tow from the people behind, the Subaru Levorg is actually quite good around Maple Valley on the medium tyres as they tyres don't degrade all that much.
I'm B safety rating and 4800 driver rating. I've been getting really competitive and clean races. I actually really enjoy the games multiplayer compared to previous Motorsport games, genuinely awesome.
My experience has been great so far. Been a forza gamer since FM2 and came over to GT7 this year as well. Very clean racing in both games IMO.
I think it's good online too. Rivals is good too
I really appreciate the separation of driver grades for finding races. That has been a tremendous upgrade. I would say 90% of my races have been clean. The only real drama happening on rain soaked corners or tight racing to turn one. Other than that, it's been fun to play online.
Would love a video breaking down where Forza and Gran Turismo could learn from each other. What the strengths of each game are.
I played it tonight, not very good but i enjoy it.
a bit aggravating that EVERY CAR HERE HAD THE SAME ENGINE SOUNDS. still looks really fun.
I get hit and rammed into way less online than I do playing career against the Ai lol
