    Replacing the water pump on my 2002 ford ranger xlt engine size 4.0. 6 cylinder DOHC. This video is exactly how mine is setup. I was going to try to sneak out the pump without removing the two brackets, but i couldn't do it. I had to remove the alt. bracket and the steering pump bracket, just like in the video. Hope this helps.

    Tip: If it's a stud, meaning that you removed a nut, not a bolt and there is a bracket or ground wire connector, check for a second nut behind those. There was one on my AC bracket and other under the alternator on a bracket holding the AC line.

    on a 06 3.0 the fan bolts are recessed and cant use a fan clutch wrench... the fan clutch is also a left handed thread.. beware the video does not show this

      How did you get the clutch fan out then?

      @@user-2Hteyasizyc i ended up getting a 22mm crescent and let it rest. Then just twisting the fan off. It took alot of brawn but eventually it gave in.
