Sam, I found your videos a few days ago and had no idea there would be scripture in them. It was a fantastic surprise and god bless you for using the platform you have to spread the word. Great work as well, I love the power rake for the same uses as you. I put mine of a 279 and it does wonders.
Thank you Coby and welcome to the channel 😀. BTW cool logo you are using. You nailed the vision the Lord gave me for the channel. To offer an alternative to the ignorant box (regular tv) and drop a short message at the end. There will be folks that will watch the videos and a short message that may not be hearing it anywhere else. But it's you and folks like you that make the difference. Yalls support helps grow the channel to reach more folks with the Gospel. That 279 is sweet. When I upgrade I really want the 289 in a bad way. 😁 God Bless, Sam
Another great video!! Some good views on some good work. Nothing like a little Harley rake action. With a bit of finesse and patients it’s Pretty satisfying work. Thanks for the message!
I appreciate that. Finesse and patience, that's asking a lot out of a feller! You're right though. There is a learning curve to one of them but they do a great job for sure... God Bless, Sam
Thanks JC! I really appreciate that! I really enjoy sharing a message. It truly is what can change a person's life. I've had a good bit of practice with the equipment. It was ugly when I was learning. Yall wouldn't have wanted to watch that learning curve 😳🤪😁... God Bless and Thanks, Sam
Having the right equipment makes the job 100 times easier. That rake makes the job look easy. Nice work. You have a beautiful piece of property Sam. Hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving.
I love the What, how and why in your videos. I enjoy watching the work too, but that part of my brain that always wants to learn likes the shared knowledge. Thanks for making these videos.
Thank you and I appreciate that! I'm the same way. Most of the time I just need to know why something is done that way. Have a blessed Thanksgiving, Sam
I used my power rake on a horribly damaged gravel driveway that has craters everywhere and about a 1/4 mile long and within a hour it went from the worst driveway in the county (per UPS and FedEx drivers) to the nicest after a hour of working it. I looked at the cat brand when I purchased my new 259D3 but went with the Virnig they also sell as they don’t have a chain case like the Cat uses, they do direct drive, less maintenance and parts to wear out.
That sounds like it worked great. Power rakes are unbelievable, they do a great job for sure. Probably my favorite attachment to use just because of the difference they make. Direct drive is probably a better system, I would think...
Hi Sam, Good video Boss 👍🏻 I built a yard this past week and sure coulda used one of them Power Rakes . Lol I appreciate the Message Sir ! Have a Great Week ! Evert
Thanks Evert. Yup, if you used it on that yard it would have looked so good you would get a tip from the owner! 🤪😁 Have a great Thanksgiving... God Bless, Sam

Thanks Mike and I appreciate you subscribing. I’m not to far from Cleveland, about 30 minutes. Are you talking about he Sundry stores in Etowah? That is about 10 minutes from where I am. Sam
Sam that rake is a game changer for driveways. Based on the comments they must be ultra expensive, but if I had that much road to maintain I would be looking to get one after seeing this. The work you put into making these videos is outstanding! Beautiful job on the message. I learned a new word today...."Typology." Abundant blessings this Thanksgiving and God bless you!
Thanks Mark. Yes they are pricey. This one was a little over 10k but now I would say closer to 12k. It is definitely a great piece of equipment. I appreciate the comment on the video quality! I try to make them with variety and not get boring. So, thanks! Have a blessed Thanksgiving and God Bless.
Great video sir. I just subscribed myself. I love my power rake too. I haven't used it on a driveway yet but it is a massive time and work saver when doing yards. I should have bought one years ago.
Hey, thanks for subscribing! I really appreciate it. Power Rakes are great! You can just throw the topsoil in however you want and that baby will flat make it look like a million bucks. First video I saw of a guy using it in a gravel road I thought he was going to wear out the teeth and destroy it 😳. Boy was I wrong! As you know they can take a lick and keep on ticking. God Bless, Sam
Watching the video again sir at 2:30 am.... cant sleep. These videos calm mind. Enjoy the sound and the visual helps as well. I would love to work this raker and skid steer.... it seems fun to do.
Thanks! I enjoy drone video as well. I think it adds a lot to a video. Yes, there is definitely some warning in the next verses. This section is what we are looking at in class for next couple Sundays. God Bless, Sam
Great video. Question on the process. Do you like to take several passes over the drive way after the raking to track it in and compact it? Or is it not really needed?
Watching this video again... from your perspective, what is the main objective for repairing a driveway: water drainage, appearance/feel of ride, or material build up to avoid deterioration? Love this video!
Main objective is drainage. Without proper drainage the work won't last long. Then you make it look the best you can considering future storm events. Once you get drainage right you can add or move material around to get the surface in great shape. Thanks, Sam
Ah! Just go get you one! But seriously, if you do rent one or buy one you have to post the video of first time using it😳😁. That will be great! Actually you will want to take it off and send it back! But you will get the hang of it just like anything else, there is a learning curve... Appreciate you always watching and commenting, thanks...
Well, expensive isn't the word. It's more like ridiculous what we have to pay for this equipment. But if you get one you will wonder how you ever got by without it... Thanks, I appreciate the comment. Sam
That road is at my house so wasn’t a paying job. I normally have a daily rate and estimate how many days a job will take. I haven’t thought about charging per sq ft. That is a good idea and I may try that out. Thanks for the info. Sam
Sam, I need your advice. I’m ordering a power rake and don’t know if wider is better. I generally like 72” attachments because I like to be able to see the corners without breaking my neck. I have a 110 hp CAT so in theory, I should be able to run the widest unit available. What’s your opinion on power rake width options. Used in gravel ranch roads and clearing. Non landscaping.
Sure, glad to help. I would get one at least as wide as the tracks on the CAT so you can cover the width of the machine on each pass. I wouldn’t want to go much wider than the tracks because the corners sticking out past the tracks would tend to dig in on high areas outside the tracks. I’m like you, I like to be able to see the corners on an attachment without leaning all the way up on the door. Hope that helps some… Thanks, Sam
Hey Sam, have you had any issues breaking chains on the drive motor? Would you buy another one in hindsight or go with a different brand and why. My friend is looking to buy one and trying to find the best option. Thanks from Oregon!
Haven’t had any issues at all with it. Would definitely buy it again. However, I have seen several different brands used on various RUclips channels and I don’t see much difference in results from any of them. Whether it’s a Power Rake, Harley Rake or Ruckus Rake. They all seem to be tough as nails. I would find the best deal in a leading brand and go with it. Some of the cheaper knock offs I would stay away from for the sake of longevity. Hope that helps…
@@tristardiggin thanks Sam for taking the time out of your busy day to respond. I do like the motor mounted high to limit the chance of getting hit. Thanks again and God bless!

How would one of these powerrakes go on an older 247b cat machine you think?
Should do just fine. They take a little bit to figure out how to run them but do an excellent job…
Does the rock damage the rake in anyway? Wear things out faster than using it in just dirt?
Doesn't seem to. The diggers are carbide so I haven't seen any wear on them from rocks.
Sam,

@@tristardiggin thank you for the quick reply, I was worried something was wrong. I guess I will just go a couple of inches at a time.
