Learning how to properly consider, understand and empathize with the many different people and situations they find themselves in is the most critical part of doing things right. You could have walked away from that woman's job and not helped her when you discovered that it wouldn't measure up to what you expected it would. But that's not what you did, you doubled down on doing the right thing and helped save her even more money knowing her budget was tight. Thank you for being a teacher who leads by example and thank you for such a great message. I wish more people could hear that message right now.

I may not catch all your videos when they come out, but I know Jesus is working through you, the reason I say this is because every time I feel the urge to watch now and not later low and behold the message you give at the end of the video seems to be the exact message I need to hear in that moment. it still amazes me how the lord works and how he is always there for us when we need him. so, thank you again Sam and God bless brother.

Hey thanks, I appreciate the feedback on the videos. It’s definitely takes a good bit of work to get the different shots for the videos.

I loved watching the repair.job you did knowing the lady couldn't afford the full job ..turned out great..
I do have a question why is it when doing the gutters you remove soil rock and debris you pile it up into mounds on the side instea spreading it ,from the way itvappears on video it would stop water from flowing freely ...
I love your bible messages at the end of your videos..
    God bless

Thanks Patrick! The dirt was piled up where water could flow behind it and a couple of cut throughs where water could leave the road and get behind it.
I appreciate you watching and glad you are enjoying the messages at the end…
      God Bless

Awesome work, how many tons of rock did you use? And how many feet did you cover the driveway with? The message was AWESOME TOO, I've been born again, but unfortunately, I have sinned but I believe and have been saved. I was around 9 or 10 years old when I gave my life to the LORD. I fail every day but I know he has me, thanks for the message brother!

Mark I used two loads of rock and each was around 18 ton. It generally covers around 300’ but all depends on the thickness when spreading it.
Amen! I know He has me too…😀

@@tristardiggin AMEN! Ok, I like the driveway jobs, I'm doing a building pad Tuesday for a customer that is 22 X 25 with 30 tons, however, I will be about 6 inches thick. I think that should cover me and what is left over I will do some touch-ups on the driveway if there is any leftover.

I was thinking what Joeynelson said here on this job Sam, I know you have your reasons for using the bobcat, how do you determine what equipment to use for a job like this? (Bobcat/Dozer/etc-Appreciate all of your good scripture talks and videos-Thanks!

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Месяц назад

Joey the dozer wasn’t the right equipment for several reason:
-This was a small budget job
      -small confined area
-the dozer would have destroyed the existing road base and mixed to much dirt in with the existing rock and would have cost twice as much for rock.
-this job called for small touch ups in areas that the dozer couldn’t have done
Among other reasons that’s why I used the skid steer and mini X.

Mike that’s right, there are several things that determine which machine to use. The budget of the property owner definitely determines the piece of equipment and the scope of the work to be done. Next would be the room you have to operate in. The dozer was way too big for this small job. Also the ability you have to get a truck and trailer to the property is a big factor as well. Each job calls for a bit of thinking on how to take care of it.
      Thanks,
      Sam

I’m available to do foot modeling… hmu.
Seriously tho, appreciate that you looked after the homeowner’s best interests in fixing that road on a tight budget. Looks nice; I’d like to go back again when it’s raining and see the results. I enjoy your video formatting, different strokes I guess.

Hey thanks, I’m taking applications for the position of foot model. I don’t think my wife wants me to do that again, but I’m sure I will! 🤣🤣🤣
I appreciate what you said about the work. It’s hard to do a lot on a tight budget but I definitely try to get them the best for what they have to spend.
Thanks for the feedback on the format. It’s difficult to find something that works for everyone. So I mix it up a bit.
I do need to visit some older jobs during a rain storm to update folks on the work…
      Thanks,
      Sam
