    Man, that's some nice looking dirt you're working with there. When you were talking about working efficiently and speeding things up, it made me think about the guy that got me started in excavation. He mentioned the same things you did and also about setting up the worksite and how to load the truck quickly. He always preached to try to keep your swing at 90 degrees or less when loading the truck to shorten load times. He also taught me to spread my loads out when dumping them so I didn't have to spend so much time on the loader pushing piles to get my lifts ready for compaction. He was a smart guy and knew the excavation business. Now that I'm older, I really appreciate him sharing his knowledge with me and helping me to understand the business like you do for your viewers. Great job Mr. Sam. Nice message too.

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Месяц назад +2

      Yup, those are all good ways to be efficient. I need to do as you mentioned and spread it as I’m dumping. That would make things a touch quicker too. It is cool that you had someone show you the ropes too.

    By the way, are you going to put up an hysterical historical sign down in the bottom grassy strip between the Hickory Ridge Road and the neighbor's driveway that says "Ol' What-his-name parked here".

    "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord., "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11) Sometimes, we forget that Jesus wants us to prosper. We get sidetracked with worries about work, family, friends. It's not easy to navigate life with clarity and wisdom when we are struggling with anxiety and fear...But He has plans for us anyway. Thank you for reminding us of that. Your words are examples of goodwill, compassion, kindness, and grace. Jesus says that we are the salt of the earth. (Matthew 5:13) If you are sprinkling around these things, then Sam, you are indeed doing your job as a saltshaker..May the Lord bless you and keep you and your viewers safe. Mike&Pat

    Awesome work. Yes, Sir I know what you mean being glad not being in Law Enforcement anymore. I retired at 32 years in Law Enforcement and don't miss it at all. The Good Lord protected me all those years, Jesus is not only my Lord and savoir he's my rock and fortress. I think we have something in common, Working in shorts and a tee-shirt Amen brother. God Bless you my Law Enforcement Brotha .

    Hi Sam, been busy here silly season to get things done, finally caught up with your videos, if you add sections to a tile you need the bell to be pointed in the right direction....right? don't mind me I just have a graduation degree from WhatsamatterU😁 Alright what is the spoon suppose to stand for?

    • @tristardiggin
      @tristardiggin  Месяц назад +1

      Yup, that debate over tiles is pretty entertaining at times.
      Mike, over the years, has found a lot of spoons at his jobs sites and mentions it sometimes when he finds one. Aaron hung one on the dozer muffler as a comment generator on the channel.

    As a business owner, that does dirt work, you make hay while the sun shines. No reason to quit early or take weekends off. You have time to sit? You have time to work. Being your own boss sounds fun, till you realize you don't have off days. Quitting early on a Friday and taking next week, just doesn't make sense. If they are canning for rain, i get it, but if it's a dry weekend, than you work it

    Bell is awllways uphill. Anyone who thinks downhill or it doesnt matter has absoluty no knowledge. Besides international plumbing code requires bells uphill.
    The only guys i know that put bells downhill have 0 experience.
    Theres a 12 acre pond that will need to be drained near me soon as the bell on a pipe is leaking...because it was bell downhill. 200k pind ruined because of a bell downhill.
    Even if its1 pipe, bell uphill. You may never knowif you need to extend the pipe in the future.
